Ask a Canadian, a Frenchman or an Englishman who has a chronic disease or still waiting for an emergent procedure or surgery if their medical system works - if they're still alive to tell you, that is.
JFK told us not to ask what our country can do for us. Big government taking over the health care system and all our medical needs is asking a helluva lot.
Are you that ignorant or are you just a damned liar Carol? No one in any of those countries has to wait for emergency treatment or has any issues with treating chronic conditions. Have they in this country under the private sector insurance system? You bet!
Nataline Sarkisyan died in a UCLA hospital bed on Dec. 20, 2007. She was 17. Her story drew nationwide attention because the liver transplant she needed was denied by her family's health insurer, CIGNA.
The North Carolina union organizer Chrystal Lee Sutton who was the inspiration for the movie "Norma Rae" died of brain cancer after a battle with her insurance company, which delayed her treatment. She was 68. Sutton was diagnosed with meningioma, a type of cancer of the nervous system. While such cancers are typically slow-growing, Sutton's was not -- and she went two months without potentially life-saving medication because her insurance wouldn't cover it initially. Though Sutton eventually received the medication, the cancer had already taken hold. She passed away in a Burlington, N.C. hospice.
Government is not taking over the healthcare system you clueless twit! The ACA still uses private sector insurance, hospitals and doctors. What does do is prevent big insurance from picking and choosing who they're going to cover and eliminates lifetime caps that would cut off treatment for those on long term treatments like chemotherapy and kidney dialysis.

Yesterday I was at my local COSTCO buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Biscuit, the Wonder Dog and was in the checkout line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again.(I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.)

Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's ass and a car hit us both.

I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.

Costco won't let me shop there anymore.

Better watch what you ask older people. They have all the time in the world to think of crazy things to say.

Transcript: President Clinton explains Iraq strike
CLINTON: Good evening.
Earlier today, I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors.
Their purpose is to protect the national interest of the United States, and indeed the interests of people throughout the Middle East and around the world.
Saddam Hussein must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons.
I want to explain why I have decided, with the unanimous recommendation of my national security team, to use force in Iraq; why we have acted now; and what we aim to accomplish.
(It goes on but toward the end Clinton stated this:)
Heavy as they are, the costs of action must be weighed against the price of inaction. If Saddam defies the world and we fail to respond, we will face a far greater threat in the future. Saddam will strike again at his neighbors. He will make war on his own people.
And mark my words, he will develop weapons of mass destruction. He will deploy them, and he will use them.
Because we're acting today, it is less likely that we will face these dangers in the future.
http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1998/1...
After 9/11, Bush acted so it would be "less likely we will face these dangers in the future," as Clinton had stated before 9/11.
111 Democrats agreed with Bush just as they had agreed with Clinton until they became political weasels...your political weasels.
There's a big damned difference between using targeted missile strikes and invading a country causing the deaths of over 4000 of our military and tens of thousands more returning home physically and emotionally maimed dimwit!
And once again, just what the hell did Iraq have to do with 9/11 anyway? Nothing stupid!

As to your "try again"...
Former Yahoo! News Washington bureau chief David Chalian has been hired at Politico.
The former Yahoo! News Washington bureau chief who was fired after he was heard saying Republican National Convention attendees were “happy to have a party with black people drowning” has been hired at Politico.
Politico is NOT a friend of the conservative American citizen.
Well, if you were capable of following a conversation, you would see that this discussion started with the claim that "Hillary Clinton is, in fact, the original birther". But, to address your point, no one in your camp has been able to provide anything that proves anyone tied to her campaign was a birther either. Try again.

'What are you doing?' She asked.

'Hunting Flies' He responded..

'Oh.! Killing any?' She asked.

'Yep, 3 males, 2 Females,' he replied.

Intrigued, she asked.'How can you tell them apart?'

He responded,
'3 were on a beer can, 2 were on the phone.'

Unsubstantiated videos of a few malcontents doesn't prove anything Carol.
Studies show that on average, Canadians are more likely to receive needed care quickly than Americans. Canadians get more physicians visits per capita than Americans, more immunizations, more hospital admissions, and more surgical procedures. A survey of 10 OECD countries showed that Canadians were the most satisfied with the care they received, while Americans were the least satisfied. In fact, Canadians are more than five times as likely to be satisfied with the health care they receive than Americans.
Infant mortality, maternal mortality, and life expectancy were worse in Canada than in the U.S. before the introduction of medicare. Canada's infant mortality rate is now only 70% of that in the U.S., while American women are almost twice as likely to die during childbirth as their Canadian counterparts. The average Canadian now lives two years longer than the average American.
How many Canadians went bankrupt or ended up losing their homes due to unaffordable medical bills Carol? None.

That they are unhappy with their systems is bullshit propaganda pure and simple.

They lay awake nights LONGING to pay $150 bucks for a perscription they can get now for a $5 Co-Pay.
And Insurance Industry lobbyists and FOX have actually convinced Tea Baggers this is the case.(LMAO!)

And they have been inciting idiot Taebaggers because they have a Viceral Revulsion at the idea of helping the Poor because they REALLY need someone to look down on.

First of all, how can readers possibly judge any sort of statement from a serial liar?
Secondly, the one certainty regarding the Obama administration's handling of the Benghazi terrorist attack is the video excuse was pathetic and insulting.
Thirdly - what difference, at this point, does it make? Mere bumps in the road to fundamentally changing our nation.
I love how you f*cking morons just make up sh*t concerning Benghazi.

Obama called it a terror attack in that statement.

Tell me, the video did crate rioting & protests in many Middle East cities. Why is it it possible that it would also occur in Benghazi???

Yes, what difference does it make as to the outcome if it was a planned attack or a spontaneous escalation from a protest to an attack. It s sad that people like you would take the deaths of Americans & lie to create a political story.

Remember Obamacare was to help the ailing Medicaid program but has compounded the problem
In California, just 47% of those who have signed up have received a private health plan. The rest were put on Medicaid.(And remember, these figures only include those who have signed up, but not necessarily paid their first premium).
The figures for the rest of the states aren’t any better. In Colorado, just 17% got private coverage, with the other 83% put on Medicaid. In Connecticut, 61% got private coverage, in Minnesota, 71%, Rhode Island 33%, and Washington State 11%.
The weighted average across all the states shows that only 36% of those who have signed up (but not necessarily paid for) Obamacare, were put on private plans.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/scottgottlieb/201...
The rest have been added to the rolls of Medicaid.
47% signing up for private health plans in California is fantastic...exceeding expectations.

It has always been anticipated that there would be more people signing up for Medicaid than the exchanges. The Congressional Budget Office had estimated that "the Medicaid expansion would provide health coverage to 9 million more low-income adults and children by the end of 2014 and 7 million would sign up for a private health plan during that time." Without even realizing it, what you have provided is proof that the Affordable Care Act is working as planned. The numbers after the October, 2014 enrollment period will be a true indication of whether or not the trend continued on schedule. You should just sit back and relax.
