It does seem incongruent in light of his statement to protect the Islamic religion. All religions deserve equal protection.
He does seem to care more about protecting Islamists here than speaking out against radical Islamists killing Christians over there.

When Prince Charles speaks out against it publicly and not the president of the United States, it doesn't look good in the eyes of the world - much less in the eyes of those Christians who are being killed and persecuted.

Don't expect efficiency from this regime, only constant fuckuppery.

Our POS POTUS appointed a lawyer as head of the Dept. of Agriculture.

It makes a person wonder why so many Obama appointees have absolutely no training or experience relating to the departments they are assigned to run. How can so much incompetence be accidental or even just coincidental? This mess doesn't feel benign in nature.

Can we "hope" Obama and his minions will stop lying to us every time they open their mouths? Didn't think so. But, then again, what do people like you care?

But before I go, Prince Charles' comments:

"I have for some time now been deeply troubled by the growing difficulties faced by Christian communities in various parts of the Middle East..

‘"It seems to me that we cannot ignore the fact that Christians in the Middle East are increasingly being deliberately targeted by fundamentalist Islamist militants.

"Christianity was literally born in the Middle East and we must not forget our Middle Eastern brothers and sisters in Christ."

Charles said Christians now accounted for 4 per cent of the population in the Middle East and North Africa - the lowest concentration in the world.

He said the Christian population of the Middle East has dropped dramatically over the last century and is falling still further.

He also said that the decline of the ‘irreplaceably precious’ Christian tradition in the Middle East represented a ‘major blow’ to peace in the region as Christians were part of the ‘fabric of society’ often acting as bridge builders with other communities.

So tell me. What earthy reason makes you believe we should allow TransCanada to place a pipeline across our country for the purpose of exporting oil to foreign countries when their own provinces won't allow it? Why would you want to allow them to trash our country like that?
i hate to break this to you but the pipeline is being built. The only part Obama has anything to do with and can stop is where it crosses the US/Canada border. The oil is being shipped to the gulf by railroad now so most of what you say is BS.

'Duck Dynasty' Star Phil Robertson Suspended Over Anti-Gay Remarks

A&E has suspended "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson following anti-gay comments he made in a recent GQ profile, according to a report by Entertainment Weekly.

In an interview with GQ's Drew Magary, the head of the family in the wildly popular A&E series expressed his view that homosexuality was immoral, likening it to bestiality. Some of the remarks were made using off-color language.

Backlash was widespread and pronounced, including condemnation from GLAAD and the Human Rights Campaign.

On Wednesday evening, A&E released this statement to Entertainment Weekly:

“We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty. His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely."

Entertainment Weekly added that the rest of the family starring in "Duck Dynasty" will remain on the program.

Even Prince Charles would have been a better president.
More of the Bush legacy. Cause and effect.
After the 2003 invasion of Iraq, violence against Christians rose, with reports of abduction, torture, bombings, and killings. Some Christians were pressured to convert to Islam under threat of death or expulsion, and women were ordered to wear Islamic dress.
In August 2004, International Christian Concern protested an attack by Islamists on Iraqi Christian churches that killed 11 people.[14] In 2006, an Orthodox Christian priest, Boulos Iskander, was beheaded and mutilated despite payment of a ransom, and in 2008, the Assyrian clergyman Archbishop Paulos Faraj Rahho of the Chaldean Catholic church in Mosul died after being abducted.[13] In January 2008, bombs exploded outside nine churches.[13]
As of 21 June 2007, the UNHCR estimated that 2.2 million Iraqis had been displaced to neighbouring countries, and 2 million were displaced internally, with nearly 100,000 Iraqis fleeing to Syria and Jordan each month.[15][16] A 25 May 2007 article notes that in the past seven months only 69 people from Iraq have been granted refugee status in the United States.[17]
In 2007, Chaldean Catholic priest Fr. Ragheed Aziz Ganni and subdeacons Basman Yousef Daud, Wahid Hanna Isho, and Gassan Isam Bidawed were killed in the ancient city of Mosul.[11] Ganni was driving with his three deacons when they were stopped and demanded to convert to Islam, when they refused they were shot.[11] Ganni was the pastor of the Chaldean Church of the Holy Spirit in Mosul and a graduate from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas, Angelicum in Rome in 2003 with a licentiate in ecumenical theology. Six months later, the body of Paulos Faraj Rahho, archbishop of Mosul, was found buried near Mosul. He was kidnapped on 29 February 2008 when his bodyguards and driver were killed.[18]
In 2010, reports emerged in Mosul of people being stopped in the streets, asked for their identity cards, and shot if they had a first or last name indicating Assyrian or Christian origin.[4] On 31 October 2010, 58 people, including 41 hostages and priests, were killed after an attack on an Assyrian Catholic church in Baghdad.[19] See October 2010 Baghdad church attack. A group affiliated to Al-Qaeda, Islamic State of Iraq, stated that Iraq's indigenous Christians were a "legitimate target."[20] In November, a series of bombings and mortar attacks targeted Assyrian Christian-majority areas of Baghdad.[20]
Half the Christian population has fled, with an estimated 330,000 to Syria and smaller numbers to Jordan.[13] Some fled to Iraqi Kurdistan in northern Iraq and to neighboring country Iran. Christians who are too poor or unwilling to leave their ancient homeland have fled mainly to Arbil, particularly its Christian suburb of Ainkawa.[4] 10,000 mainly Assyrian Iraqi Christians live in the U.K. led by Archbishop Athanasios Dawood who has called on the government to accept more refugees.[21]
Apart from emigration, the Iraqi Christians are also declining due to lower rates of birth and higher death rates than their Muslim compatriots. Also since the invasion of Iraq, Assyrian and Armenian Christians have been targeted by extreme Islamic organisations and Arab nationalists.[22]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_in_...
That's just Iraq. Bush put all Christians at higher risk in that part of the world with his War in Iraq and his policies. It's a wonder there are any Christians left in the Middle East due to his actions.

It's the culture....
It was to only try and wean some of the working class support over to him that he made references like he did to socialism. And that never really worked, the Nazis always had the least support from the working class. In that particular section of the book Toland is discussing Hitler's use of propaganda and his oratory style. He starts out by stating that the Berlin Nazi party (or Gau) was in disarray at this time and Goebbels was sent to straighten out the situation. He found that "The thousand party members under his jurisdiction were opposed on the streets by overwhelming numbers of Communists and Social Democrats." The course of action they decided on was to do everything they could to pick fights and to basically 'Red Bait' the Leftists in order to enflame violence, and to use propaganda to confuse the masses to try and weaken the real Left. "Goebbles decided it was now time to broaden the base of membership and to do that he had to attract the attention of the jaded public, "Berlin needs its sensations as a fish needs water", he (Goebbels) wrote" (ibid p223) So the best way they decided to inflame the situation was for violent action "SA troops deliberately sought out physical combat with the Reds," (Ibid p224) and for Hitler to give a speech on May Day.
