Hispanics' approval has fallen from 75% in December 2012 to 52% in November
by Jeffrey M. Jones
PRINCETON, NJ -- President Barack Obama's job approval rating averaged 41% in November, down 12 percentage points from 53% last December, his high-water mark since his first year in office. Hispanics' approval has dropped 23 points over the last 12 months, the most among major subgroups, and nearly twice the national average.

As I said, these folks are meeting this Saturday, they are serious, and they are backed by mass media. We need to make people aware of this threat to democracy and preemptively discredit those pushing it, before it picks up more steam. In particular, we should contact our State legislative representatives and make very clear our opposition to any such constitutional convention.

Not all aspects of the medical industry. But physicians have an option to take insurance or not. Because Obamacare requires more regulations and costly paperwork time - and because many physicians have opted out of taking Medicare patients already - the medical industry will be overburdened and corners will be cut.
This administration will have to force physicians to do the bidding of those in power. It's the only way physicians will succumb to the will of government - or leave their practices.
Is that the kind of health care system you wanted?
I looked at a few charts this am re: the physician situation. One thing I noticed quickly is that a lot of the nations MD's are baby boomers and retiring__in certain locales faster than they can be replaced.

There were more physicians in 2012 than in 2008 and 93% accept Medicare.

Another thing I noticed was a plethora of far fetched politically motivated studies and surveys that supplied no data to reinforce dubious statements.

Do you think we should raise the debt ceiling again before the middle of February? If so, how much higher than $17 trillion would be too high?
If Congress can't learn how to get by without cutting entitlement programs then, yes, the debt ceiling should be raised. Congress has an obligation to pay the debts which have accrued as a result of the legislation they have passed. Defaulting on our obligations is not an option.

Everyone, liberals & conservatives, recognizes that we are
overextended due to years of war but the fact is, after World War II, debt levels were even higher (as a percentage of GDP). The cost of military contractors and personnel is not cheap. If Congress refuses to deal with the real source of our problems, then the debt ceiling will continue to increase. Remember, Ronald Reagan raised 18 times!

Because another shutdown is looming if Congress can't come to a consensus again in a few more months.
Just a suggestion...but wouldn't selling unused federal land, enacting major reforms and building a pipeline the better solutions?
Or is spending our way into the abyss of no return the better way to go?
You do realize that they only agreed to raise the debt limit. They never actually set a limit this time only how long they could borrow. The debt as of a few seconds ago was $17,219,276,500,000. Not counting the unfunded liabilities of course.

Sorry, Lily, but you apparently just don't know what's going on.

http://www.aafp.org/news-now/government-medic...

In a recent letter to CMS Administrator Marilyn Tavenner, M.A., AAFP (American Academy of Family Physicians) Board Chair Glen Stream, M.D., M.B.I., of Spokane, Wash., wrote this:

Under the proposed fee schedule, the cut shows the typical family physician would lose a total of $89,763, and a three-physician practice would lose $269,289 in revenue next year" if the cut goes through, said Stream.

"No small business can sustain itself in the face of such drastic revenue reductions," Stream added, and he called on CMS and Congress to avert the "devastating cut" and replace it with a new formula that includes more equitable pay for primary care services.

Stream also stressed that to achieve meaningful health system reform, there must also be meaningful Medicare physician payment reform.

Hi liar looooooon!
That is $1812.24 for 12 months of med insurance!
$40,000 is a good amount of money for one person.....far from poverty level.
Over two three times the poverty level!
If this person was turned down under the Republican Insurance plan, pre existing condition,
THIS IS A GREAT PLAN!
In 2013 they could not get any insurance, if they rang up a huge hospital bill,
they were on the hook for the whole thing, 2 days in the hospital is over $50,000 on up!
NOW: 2014, they pay $151 per month for guaranteed insurance, cannot be turned down, and if a hospitalization occurs, they pay a maximum $6 grand out of pocket for the whole year.
WHAT A GREAT DEAL FOR THIS PERSON! Ring up $200,000 in a hospital, pay $6 grand max. Making $40 grand a year, that is affordable! In a worst case scenario, this person is going to be extremely happy about the ACA! The hospital will accept a payment plan for what is owed. Under Republican plan, which is no plan at all,
THIS PERSON WOULD OWE THE WHOLE $200,000.(bankruptcy, foreclosure, ruined credit, would await this person, thanks Republicans!)
If no worst case happens, this person gets peace of mind everyday for $151 a month: AFFORDABLE COVERAGE! GUARANTEED BY FEDERAL LAW!
Get the coverage......don't walk around without med insurance!
I still don't see $8,000 per year as you stated, Waxturd liar!
GET COVERED PEOPLE, YOUNG, MIDDLE AND OLD! LOG IN TODAY!
healthcare.gov
You can lie all you want lowlife, bottom line is if the 27 year old needs to use the insurance it could cost $8000 which is likely a WHOPPING 25% of net income.

That is your socialist "affordable" insurance?

Baawwaahhhh!!!!

It's a perfectly legitimate question. The off-the-charts deficit will affect us all.
So how high is too high?
Either no one wants to answer that question or just scared to answer it.
Yes. The United States must continue to meet it's obligations and maintain it's credit rating.

Hardly a valid survey however, it is interesting to note that the second place for being intelligent went to Communists and the first place holder was "apolitical people who did not follow any specific doctrine." Like I have always said, people who can't think for themselves are ignorant which is the exact reason research has proven that conservatives are the least informed people of all others.
