Once a terrorist...

"Yet decades ago many in America did not share in the adulation of Mandela and his African National Congress (ANC), which had been billed a terrorist organization by both South Africa and the United States. His severest right-wing critics painted him as an unrepentant terrorist and a communist sympathizer.

It was even reported that the CIA had helped engineer Mandela's 1962 arrest when an agent inside the ANC supplied South African security officials with a tip-off to track him down..."

Yes, the day of reckoning has yet to be seen. The Democrats insisted everything was just fine with Fannie and Freddie. Far more Democrats stuffed money from F*F into their pockets than Republicans while saying this to the American public.
Seems greed is bipartisan. Timothy Geithner, Charlie Rangel, Barney Frank, John Kerry and Barack Obama just to name a few apparently got their hands dirty by greed as well.
Then there was the Democratic Congressman whose freezer was packed full with ill-confiscated money. Sounds like greed to me.
Still trying to blame Fannie and Freddie Carol? They didn't make loans they purchased them and they were after all rated as AAA by ratings groups like Standard and Poor's and Moody's. Why did these agencies rate these shaky loans so high? Because they were paid to. There was also a housing bubble with the same consequences in Britain, Ireland and Iceland and last time I looked Fannie and Freddie weren't operating in those countries. There was also a bubble in commercial real estate which Fannie and Freddie didn't have anything to do with.
Oh by the way that Democratic congressman, William J. Jefferson was a piker compared to Republican Duke Cunningham who was convicted of accepting at least $2.4 million in bribes. There was also Bob Ney (R OH) who got his palms greased by Jack Abramoff in his Indian casino scams. Let's not forget Rick Renzi who was convicted by a jury on 17 of 32 counts in his corruption case that accused him of using his office for personal financial gain and looting a family insurance business to help pay for his 2002 campaign.

Most people are ignorant of the Cold War front in Africa. They don't remember the war between the communists encroaching from Angola through Namibia into South Africa, and how the ANC was assisting that advance. Because of coincidence of common foe, the ANC allied with the communists.
The South Africans managed to defeat the communists and push them back to Angola, where a civil war ended the communist insurgency. A parallel event was also happening on the other side of South Africa in Rhodesia. Rhodesia fell to the communists and is still controlled by Mugabe today. Prior to Mugabe taking power, Rhodesia shipped food throughout Africa and much of the world. After Mugabe took power, Rhodesia can't even feed itself.
Such is the power of communism.

Now, let's talk about how the ANC used the "neclace". This is why the ANC was put on everyone's list of terrorist organizations.

So noww.... who's this guy then??
Cambridge, Cambridge?)

(CNN)- The White House clarified Thursday that President Barack Obama did live with his Kenyan uncle in Cambridge for a "brief period of time" before attending Harvard Law School in the 1980s after previously saying there was no record of the two ever meeting.

Onyango Okech Obama, President Obama's uncle, granted permission Tuesday by a federal immigration judge to stay in the United States, where he has lived illegally for the past five decades. In his testimony before the judge, Obama's uncle mentioned that then-student Obama had stayed with him for three weeks after he was accepted into law school.

The White House was asked about their relationship in 2011 at which time the administration denied the President and his Kenyan uncle had ever met. Carney retracted that information Thursday saying that the President himself had never been consulted about their relationship.

"Back when this arose, folks looked at the record, including the President's book, and there was no evidence that they had met. And that was what was conveyed. Nobody spoke to the President," White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters.

"When Omar Obama said the other day and there were reports that he had said the other day that President Obama, back when he was a law school student, had stayed with him in Cambridge, I thought it was the right thing to do to go ask him."

Carney continued: "Nobody had asked him in the past, and the President said that he in fact had met Omar Obama when he moved to Cambridge for law school and that he stayed with him for a brief period of time until his, the President's, apartment was ready."

Fast-Food Worker Strikes: What Good Will They Do?

REUTERS/Eduardo Munoz

JOHN GRGURICH
The Fiscal Times
December 5, 2013
One possible answer to the question above is: not much, particularly if you gauge it by the lackadaisical reaction to the strikes staged on Aug. 29. So why are fast-food workers at it again today? The answer to that question is far more definitive — more striking workers across more cities are trying to show their movement has momentum.

Backed by unions and organizations like Fast Food Forward and Fight for 15, fast-food employees plan to be out in force today, striking in 100 cities for an increase in the hourly wage to $15. This would more than double the federally mandated minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. Protests are planned for another 100 cities. When fast-food employees went on strike this past August, only half that many cities were involved.

Doubling the area of effectiveness for your cause or organization in less than four months’ time is impressive — a sign that overall momentum might really be in your favor. But actually doubling the wage of fast-food workers nationwide is not going to be as easy a feat.

Follow the money
As you would expect, the restaurant industry doesn't think doubling the minimum wage for its workers is a good idea, and takes a dim view of the strikes to boot. In a statement posted on its website, the National Restaurant Association said, "dramatic increases in a starting wage such as those called for in these rallies will challenge" sector job growth, and that "these demonstrations are a coordinated PR campaign engineered by national labor groups where the vast majority of participants are activists and paid demonstrators."

This other NRA boasts some of the country's biggest fast-food restaurant chains as members, including McDonald's(NYSE: MCD), Wendy's (NASDAQ: WEN), and Burger King (NYSE: BKW). In 2012 alone, the NRA spent $2.7 million on lobbying efforts according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a nonprofit and nonpartisan group that tracks political spending.

For the moment at least, strikers and their sympathizers have a not-so-secret weapon on their side: President Obama. In a speech yesterday addressing the subject of economic inequality, he reiterated his support for an increase in the minimum wage. Democratic senators have strikers' backs, too. They would like to see the federal minimum wage increased to $10.10.

Related: Why Obama Can’t Rescue the Middle Class

It's too soon to tell how the strikes are going. One early report cited about 100 protesters storming a New York City McDonald's at 6:30 a.m., blowing whistles, beating drums and chasing off at least one customer. But while it may have been easy to scare off a lone customer, don't expect the people who run the multi-billion dollar fast-food industry to scare so easily—president or no president, 50 cities or 100.

In April 2002, the Tsarnaev parents and Dzhokhar went to the United States on a 90-day tourist visa, where they founded the company, Credit Collections Bureau, currently located in North and South Dakota. The company was later sold to a private friend of the family.[29][30][31] Anzor Tsarnaev applied for asylum, citing fears of deadly persecution due to his ties to Chechnya.[32] Tamerlan arrived in the U.S. around two years later.[33] In the U.S. the parents received asylum and then filed for their four children, who received "derivative asylum status".[34] They settled on Norfolk Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Tamerlan lived in Cambridge on Norfolk Street until his death.[35] Anzor and Zubeidat Tsarnaev both received welfare benefits

We need to find ways to stop Obama from destroying our country. If the Supreme Court refuses to do it, we need to elect more member to Congress that are willing to vote against Obama policies. Obama is disregarding The Constitution, and should be in jail, but since that isn't happening we must use our power at the ballot box to stop him. The last several election, the voters failed us,so we can't blame it all on Obama.

In 2003 the Director of OFHEO testified before Congress about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac keeping fraudulent books to hide the CRA disaster. 2003.
Lo, and behold, the Republicans ignored that testimony and firther eased oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Co-fucking-incidentally, it was 2003 that the Democrats supported the war in Iraq.

Do you need someone to move your hand holding the pencil for you to connect those dots, moron?

A teenager, walking home in the early evening along a sidewalk in a development where his father was staying gets gunned down by a over zealous, neighborhood watch leader.

To those on the right, this is OK & not the fault of the shooter who broke several NW rules & never identified himself.

"According to a Gallup poll released Friday, 20 percent support a scale-back of the law, while 32 percent back efforts to repeal it.

More than half of Americans have believed the law should be repealed or scaled back since January 2011.

Only 17 percent in Gallup’s latest survey say ObamaCare should remain the same. That’s a seven-percentage-point drop since the 24 percent who felt that way in October..."
