You are a real peach. Now you slur and demean our military. In a word you say those who volunteer or either stoopid or poor, and those that do not choose to serve are the intelligent and the wealthy. You are sick and full of manure.

if the cause is just, people will serve...when the cause is a political fraud like LBJ's war in Vietnam, not so much...hence the "need" for the draft...
I agree with you no LBJ's Vietnam war, he should have been impeached. But I disagree with you in general about the draft. War or no war, everyone should serve some time in the military, be trained and learn what the price of freedom is. too many freeloaders forget what they've been given.

WTF, give me and the rest of the world a break. I was coming of draft age and had an older brother of draft age during the Vietnam war. I and millions of other know exactly what was going on at the time.
why technically Bush did not avoid the draft, he used another tactic
TO AVOID COMBAT DUTY IN NAM.
That tactic was only available to the rich and connected.
all BS...

The ACA does not restrict treatments. In fact, the ACA allows Medicare to pay cancer hospitals MORE if they are incurring higher costs. All medically necessary treatment is covered. Prove otherwise.
restricting availability is the same as restricting treatment....

let's not facts get in the way of your reality. Why don't you look at the statistics. what he said is spot on. BTW, although there was a draft during Nam, the average soldier who saw combat also fit that mold. Heck just look at the Bush administration, it was comprised almost entirely of chickenhawks who even though they were of draft age during Nam, never got drafted
many who served in Vietnam were college graduates, through either ROTC or the draft...probably a higher percentage of college graduates than any other war...

your view of life is colored by being condemned to a dump like Elmont...

LMAO. One minute you people are claiming the ACA should be repealed because the majority of people don't want it and, when provided with the truth that the majority of people don't want it repealed, you still hold your ground. Amazing. Hypocrites.
the majority of the people don't have a fkin clue until their insurance is cancelled, their premiums go up, or their preferred doctors and hospitals are no longer available....time is against your side...things will get worse, not better...

and nobody believes Obama any more...

Like I said earlier, anyone lacking the guts to serve in their country's military has no business commanding it.
What nerve and guts do you need to serve in the country's military during a time of no major conflict? It takes more nerve and guts to study law at a top rated university. Now, THAT is scary.

My apologies, Reagan was a SUPER REMF. Unless you served, you'd never understand. although I think the term today FOBBIT
After completing fourteen home-study Army Extension Courses, Reagan enlisted in the Army Enlisted Reserve[33] on April 29, 1937, as a private assigned to Troop B, 322nd Cavalry at Des Moines, Iowa.[34] He was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Officers Reserve Corps of the cavalry on May 25, 1937.[35]
Reagan was ordered to active duty for the first time on April 18, 1942. Due to his nearsightedness, he was classified for limited service only, which excluded him from serving overseas.[36] His first assignment was at the San Francisco Port of Embarkation at Fort Mason, California, as a liaison officer of the Port and Transportation Office.[37] Upon the approval of the Army Air Force (AAF), he applied for a transfer from the cavalry to the AAF on May 15, 1942, and was assigned to AAF Public Relations and subsequently to the First Motion Picture Unit (officially, the "18th Army Air Force Base Unit") in Culver City, California.[37] On January 14, 1943, he was promoted to first lieutenant and was sent to the Provisional Task Force Show Unit of This Is The Army at Burbank, California.[37] He returned to the First Motion Picture Unit after completing this duty and was promoted to captain on July 22, 1943.[34]
In January 1944, Reagan was ordered to temporary duty in New York City to participate in the opening of the Sixth War Loan Drive. He was re-assigned to the First Motion Picture Unit on November 14, 1944, where he remained until the end of World War II.[34] He was recommended for promotion to major on February 2, 1945, but this recommendation was disapproved on July 17 of that year.[38] While with the First Motion Picture Unit in 1945, he was indirectly involved in discovering actress Marilyn Monroe.[39] He returned to Fort MacArthur, California, where he was separated from active duty on December 9, 1945.[38] By the end of the war, his units had produced some 400 training films for the AAF.[34]
Reagan never left the United States during the war, though he kept a film reel, obtained while in the service, depicting the liberation of Auschwitz, as he believed that someday doubts would arise as to whether the Holocaust had occurred.[40] It has been alleged that he was overheard telling Israeli foreign minister Yitzhak Shamir in 1983 that he had filmed that footage himself and helped liberate Auschwitz,[40][41] though this purported conversation was disputed by Secretary of State George Shultz.[42]
if you had really served in the military, you would know that you serve where you are told to serve, not where you want to serve...even if that is non-combat rather than combat...
Yeah
