Galt is the only one who broke rank - that I know at least - and became a closet liberal. You should welcome him to your herd of intolerance.

I could, and have, called Nobraina many things.

Liberal is certainly not one of them.

Nobraina/Galt is behaving as a libertarian/conservative, without the overlay of religious prejudices that guide your thinking.

I find his brand of conservatism far more acceptable than yours. He doesn't use the religious litmus test that guides you.

You have this odd belief that this is a Christian nation.

Truth is, the USA is a secular nation that happens to have a majority of Christians living in it.

It's in the Constitution;

""The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion.""

----------

Your problem is that you don't for a moment believe the Constitution is correct in it's complete neutrality towards any and all religions.

You prove that daily with your posts.

But, hey, on a much happier note, I bought a motorcycle helmet last night when hubby bought his.

He gets his license to drive a motorcycle next week, and we're good to go.

Vroom...vroom...vroom...born to be wild...senior easy rider...that's me...hitting the open road...well, not literally I hope.

I'll have a car for transportation 24/7 for my part-time job and treasure hunting in thrift shops.

Just couldn't be happier....and thought I'd share it.

Get over yourself. We've seen your thinly veiled attacks on Catholics for years.

Problem for you is that it's the Catholics who created what you use as The Bible. Every text included or excluded in the New Testament was put there (or left out) by Catholics.

All the evangelicals in America do is bastardize and corrupt the meanings of the scriptures. American evangelical theology is a joke, a bunch of backwoods Billy Sunday style preachers who mangle the Bible with their various prosperity or wealth types of preaching.

Evangelicals are hucksters and charlatans at best, evildoers under Satan's thrall at worst.

Yeah, "Bus" also took office after Clinton ignored the terrorism mess, such as the first trade tower bombing and passing on his chance to take care of Bin Laden.

besides, how can you say wars (plural) when you claim "Bus" "Abandoned" Afghanistan", libtardo?

You said "Bus" "Abandoned" Afghanistan.

I've been watching your "TV" and haven't seen any advertising.

You also neglect to admit to your socialist Obama con that puts Democrats in bed with the HMO's and greedy insurance by forcing 50 year old women to buy maternity coverage.

You are so full-o-chit, BS'er.

He's either having a senior moment or a delayed shot at second childhood.

Unless he's been a motorcycle rider for many years, it's really stupid to start riding a motorcycle at advanced age.

You're just looking for trouble, combining old person's reflexes, etc. with riding motorcycles in a world where people have no respect for those on bikes.

Yes, I know it from personal experience, having been in a few altercations on my bike with soccer Mom's in minivans.

Old people should not be on motorcycles unless they started riding as young people.

When you said hubby was just getting his motorcycle license, I thought of road kill.

If I were you, I wouldn't ride on his bike until he has at least a year of experience. Putting your load on the back of the bike is a recipe for disaster.

He drove motorcycles in his younger days - actually, so did I at one time on occasion.

But he's not as old as me - I robbed the cradle. And I would never attempt to drive it now.

He's taking classes and has to pass an exam - both written and riding - before taking the test at the DMV. It's a law in Florida.

I'm giving him plenty of time to get comfortable on it before hopping on.

Forgot to mention buying a used motorcycle was the cheapest way for us to go for me to have transportation to get to my part-time job. It was out necessity. Daughter has to have the car that's paid for. We gave it to her.

But thanks for your concern. We'll be extra careful as doddering old fools - that you seem to think we are.

Did you read my post to flack - about how cool I look in my helmet and sunglasses? Who knew, right?

But he used to annoy the fool out of me. He doesn't like me even more now, but I've kinda gotten used to it.

Because I know you grew up on a dairy farm, I now better understand where your bitterness is coming from.

I'd have to do the research but, just from vague memory, I recall the government having put the screws to farmers a while back which forced them to survive any way they could.

Could be wrong. You'd know more about that than me.

But as for the book you suggested, I'd love to learn more about it first. Can you provide a link? Amazon would do.
