Barack Obama, our next President

"The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep," Obama cautioned. Young and charismatic but with little experience on the national level, Obama smashed through racial barriers and easily defeated ... Full Story

"State and district ADMINISTRATORS then implement the legislation with CALLOUS DISREGARD for its NEGATIVE IMPACT on those who face flesh-and-blood children in the classroom each day."

That is the whole problem in two paragraphs.

"Na´ve indifference" and "callous disregard" on the part of politicians and administrators.

You bet your ass its hard work with long hours. But it'd be worth it if someone gave a damn about the students besides teachers.

Problem is.....most people who choose that plan don't have $25,000 to spend. They are merely picking a policy based on the lowest premium and holding their breath that nothing happens.
Now that we have Obamacare, we really do need to eliminate Medical Expenses from being wiped out in bankruptcy. People need to take responsibility for their choices in life.
The last sentence says it all. But 75% of the people would rather have the big house and the new car every year. The fancy vacations. The other 25% need help learning to earn a living. There are few people in this age of computers and cell phones that can't be taught a job skill. Space my friends is the answer whether you choose to believe it or not.

Maybe I should have just said, "don't get me started..." which what I usually say when the topic of education comes up.

It's obvious now why I usually say that.

So, you think dropping quarter in the Salvation Army kettle once a year helps a lot of people?

These people need consistent help.

Why shouldn't the government be involved?

Is it you want to control who gets your donation (assuming you ever donate to help poor people).

During the shutdown, tax dollars were still being collected but not all returned into the economy at the tune of 245 billion.
How the f*ck did you get so GD stupid?
Seems Democrats were slow on the uptake. They could have avoided the shutdown if they had agreed to the delay. Only now do they want a delay and Obama agrees with it.

The Stranger

A few years after I was born, my Dad met a stranger who was new to our small town. From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this enchanting newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family.

The stranger was quickly accepted and was around from then on. As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family. In my young mind, he had a special niche.

My parents were complementary instructors: Mom taught me good from evil, and Dad taught me to obey. But the stranger... he was our storyteller. He would keep us spellbound for hours on end with adventures, mysteries and comedies.

If I wanted to know anything about politics, history or science, he always knew the answers about the past, understood the present and even seemed able to predict the future! He took my family to the first major league ball game. He made me laugh, and he made me cry. The stranger never stopped talking, but Dad didn't seem to mind.

Sometimes, Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were shushing each other to listen to what he had to say, and she would go to the kitchen for peace and quiet.

(I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger to leave.)

Dad ruled our household with certain moral convictions, but the stranger never felt obligated to honor them.

Profanity, for example, was not allowed in our home - not from us, our friends or any visitors. Our long time visitor, however, got away with four-letter words that burned my ears and made my dad squirm and my mother blush.

My Dad didn't permit the liberal use of alcohol but the stranger encouraged us to try it on a regular basis. He made cigarettes look cool, cigars manly, and pipes distinguished.

He talked freely (much too freely!) about sex. His comments were sometimes blatant, sometimes suggestive, and generally embarrassing.

I now know that my early concepts about relationships were influenced strongly by the stranger. Time after time, he opposed the values of my parents, yet he was seldom rebuked... And NEVER asked to leave.

More than fifty years have passed since the stranger moved in with our family. He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he was at first. Still, if you could walk into my parents' den today, you would still find him sitting over in his corner, waiting for someone to listen to him talk and watch him draw his pictures.

His name?....

We just call him 'TV.'

He has a wife now....we call her 'Computer.'
Their first child is "Cell Phone".
Second child "I Pod "

If you think the 57 state comment "won" your liar Obama the election, you really are stupid. But then again, you have proven how stupid you are on a daily basis.

Oh, I don't mind them reverting to anything Obama said. After all, he did send troops to their deaths for no reason at all.

And he's wound down iraq and is ahead of schedule on Afghanistan.

So now, they're attacking the ACA and as usual, they take things out of context since that's the only option they have for attacking. What I find more curious is they have no options to replace it no matter how many times they talk about 'redoing' it.

So I understand they being scared and fearful.

And with the governorships of NJ and Virginia on the line today, it'll be interesting to see how Americans view the reich wing cons!
