Obama’s empathy for our nation has been demonstrated numerous times. That’s why republicans have labeled him as Obamacare. Now he is going to gather up the Tea and cast it out unto the waters of oblivion with the traditionalist republicans help.
Fortunately there is hope and it is being demonstrated, more and more every day, with the moderate republicans and the intellectuals of the party that are distancing themselves from the dysfunctional “Ideologues” of their party. Obama has aided them with his brilliance. A Tea bulwark has fallen.
Obamacare drives a wedge, fracturing republican party. Phoenix Arizona’s Governor Jan Brewer pulled off a major coup by distancing herself, along with a few staunch republican state senators, from their extremist elements within their party. Rallying the support by emphasizing “Moral and Monetarily Correct”. Stating “It’s pro-life, it’s saving lives, it is creating jobs, it is saving hospitals,” and “I don’t know how you can get any more conservative than that,”
Typical of the intoxicated Tea Party’s strategy. Derogatory remarks are let loose with no substance to any issue for debate. Going so far as to invoke some religious sniping by A.J LaFaro chairman of the Maricopa County Republican Committee, comparing Jan Brewer to Judas! Libertarian blog post by Tyler S. Boyer on the “Freedom Works” site, refers to Jan as “An unfortunate display of ineptitude.” Derogatory continues to surface from the right wing extremist. Reagan once said” Republicans should not speak ill of one another” Something the extremist have ignored, as they have demonstrated on various issues, ignoring supporting their constituents for some personal ego political ploy. Ignoring the facts that voters agreed, in 1996 and in 2000, to extend Medicaid coverage to childless adults, one of the main beneficiaries of the Medicaid expansion.
Mr. Coughlin states “Ideologues have their agendas” Mr. Coughlin goes on to say “and the part of the party that’s taking issue with the governor right now is all made up of ideologues”!
Moderate republicans will be required to expand their platforms to educate their constituents of the fallacies of the zealot extremist policies. Focusing on the more intelligent groups within their spheres such as women and independents.
Bruce Merrill, political behaviorist senior research at Morrison Institute for Public Policy of the Arizona University states “how truly fractured the Republican Party in Arizona is.” expressly due to Obamacare.
“The real brilliance of Barack Obama when he made Medicaid an all-or-nothing proposition,” giving states no option but to cover individuals with incomes up to 133 percent of the federal poverty line if they were to qualify for federal reimbursement,“was that he pitted fiscally conservative Republicans against one another,” he said.
Governor Jan Brewer views it as merely bruised egos that will heal with time.“Nobody likes to lose, and that’s what happened”. AND this is but one example of many.
Tea will not be served…. Out of service…

whatever.
Before I leave, I'll help you out here as one musician to another injun joe (that phag bernie above is BEYOND help).

You are reading the polls wrong. I'm also dissatisfied with Republicans, but for different reasons. Too many "centrists/moderates " are actually just leftist democrats in disguise.

Those are the ones we are going to get rid of, and that's exactly what those meaningless polls are saying.

You're welcome, & rock on....:-)

As their employer, that would be a consideration in my choice.

You idiots do know that cheaper options for my employees as always been out there. You morons act as though employers couldn't dump insurance altogether or use cheaper policies with less coverage all along.

Employers for years have been struggling with climbing health benefit costs. You didn't give a sh*t then. Your party did nothing.

The first step in control of medical costs should be approaching the question of why medical care and drugs cost less if paid for by insurance than if paid for without insurance.
Do you expect to pay the same for ground beef as McDonald's does?

Is called volume.

An insurance company has thousands of customers (paying customers). They go to a doctor or hospital & negotiate pricing if these providers are included in their network.

If someone has NO INSURANCE then either that idiot pays cash or he is a freeloading public moocher that makes other taxpayers pay for his health care.

Here's what teabagger morons haven't figured out yet. Obama has THREE years to fix Obamacare. The only chance you nitwits had to shoot holes in it was to take control of the Senate. Because of the tantrum you threw shutting down the government and threatening to not pay our debts you have eliminated any chance at all of accomplishing that goal. If you had shut your stupid faces and let the Obamacare startup problems run their course you might have had a chance.
Thank God for Ted Cruz!

Considering Vermont is the first state to plow ahead with universal health care by 2017 despite the majority being against it and European countries backing away from it - it's safe to say Vermont is predominantly a progressive liberal state.
For one thing Carol the poll you refer to is two years old. Since then the Republicans approval ratings have cratered.
How do you know that the majority of Vermonters are against the state's proposed universal health plan? They been working on it since 2006 so why hasn't the GOP been able to make any inroads in the state? The fact is that the citizens of Vermont are fine with the plan. European countries are not backing away from their health policies liar. They actually like the fact that they can get healthcare that's not going to bankrupt them.

You're full of crap as usual Carol. If the ACA was doomed to fail then the Republicans would simply let it and reap political capital for at least a decade. It's already helping people like someone on long term chemotherapy who doesn't have to worry about their treatment being cut off because of some arbitrary lifetime cap. Childhood cancer survivors can't be denied coverage as adults. Families with young adults in college or just starting out in life don't have to shell out for another policy. Seniors are getting a break on their medications under Medicare part D. People are getting rebate checks if their insurance provider hasn't used 80% of their premiums on providing medical expenses.
The question is why do you shill for people who couldn't be bothered to piss on you if you were on fire?
The partisan written and passed ACA should have been scraped with both sides coming together and starting over again, keeping the few good things that both sides agreed on, eliminating most of it and using common sense to keep government's dirty little fingers out of our freedom of choice and personal medical decisions.

Any law that creates more government bureaucracy intrusion and confusion is a bad law.

Any law that doesn't represent both sides is a joke.

Democrats are learning this the hard way.

Carol it was Ambassador Stevens who decided who would accompany him to Benghazi, not the President and when news of the attack reached Tripoli and Washington reinforcements were sent. That's all anyone could have done. Yes the President went to Las Vegas the following day. At that point there was nothing that he could do in the aftermath except let the FBI and the CIA do their jobs. It's not like he was out of touch, Air Force One has a powerful communications center that informs the President of what's going on anywhere in the world.
By the way Carol, what did Bush do when he received his PDB that indicated that there was to be an imminent attack on this country? He stayed on his faux ranch. There was more brush to cut. Don't start on priorities you damned hypocrite.
It was Ambassador Stevens who repeatedly requested more security in the days before the attack. Now he's dead.

Since Congress created the Department of Education under Jimmy Carter 30 years ago, American students have lost ground against other nations.
How bad is it? Last year, an international assessment showed that U.S. students ranked 14th in reading, 17th in science and 25th in math among 34 countries. This prompted U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan to say,“This is an absolute wake-up call for America.... We have to deal with the brutal truth. We have to get much more serious about investing in education.”

It's more important now that teachers don't do anything to make students or parents angry, lower the bar of expectations in excellence to keep the playing field level and learning optional, scrap discipline to avoid creating an optimal learning environment and consistent fairness in the classroom and give every child a trophy whether its deserved or not to avoid any incentive to try harder and to do better the next time.

The new progressive approach is more prevalent in many schools than most want to believe.

ENDLESS CONGRESSIONAL HEARINGS = NO ACCOUNTABILITY

11-03-2013

The impostor in the White House and his lackeys have been the target of endless hearings over the past few years. IRS, Fast and Furious, Navy Seals, Benghazi to name only a few.

Most of the investigations are still on-going more than a year later; Fast and Furious almost three years while the families wait for answers instead of more lies. While the hearings have given the American people evidence and testimony, to date not a single person has been held accountable for the death of a U.S. Border Patrol Agent (Fast & Furious), the death of so many Americans in the helicopter crash in Afghanistan, the murders of our U.S. Ambassador and three other very brave Americans in Benghazi or the IRS targeting conservative groups for political reasons.

Yet, despite all the revelations that's come to light as a result of endless hearings, no one at the top of the dung heap has been held accountable for any of the scandals.

Why? What good are all the investigations and hearings broadcast on television if no one is held accountable? The same thing happened over the many scandals involving the Marxist duo, Bill & Hill Clinton, Inc, not to mention the despicable cover up of the 1993 World Trade Center Tower bombing, TWA Flight 800 and OKC. Move on the George Bush, Jr., and the massive cover up over what really happened on September 11, 2001.

Hearings, hearings, investigations and more investigating. It has equaled ZERO accountability. The guilty not only walk free but are generously rewarded when they go into the private sector. Comrade Hillary usurped the office of Secretary of State. Not only did the ethically bankrupt U.S. Senate confirm her appointment knowing she was ineligible, and despite the fact the world became a much more violent one while she racked up more air miles than any SOS in history and is responsible for the murder of four Americans in Benghazi, she's now being handsomely rewarded to the tune of anywhere from $20,000 -$200,000 a speech...
