In smaller towns and rural areas, that's usually the case. But in cities and especially the inner cities, school vouchers could very well change the direction of many children's life. They would eliminate schools that are nothing more than breeding grounds for gangs and violence and no-win futures and would hold teachers and administrators accountable by putting pressure on bad schools who were losing students to better and private schools.<quoted text>Typically your child goes to school in the district you reside in__you pay to send them to a private/parochial school or home school them. That's the system we have and in our state our educational system is controlled by Republicans and continues to have the BushCo NCLB fingerprints all over it.

Vouchers would be a God-send to parents and children in many high-risk areas of the country. Why would anyone deny them a more hopeful future?
