O'bama could have negotiated the prices with his stinking O'bamacare, he chose not to. Oxycontin does not only affect the poor-it is people across the spectrum. It is a gate way drug to heroin. Where does heroin come from. Muzzieville. Get rid of the moslems running heroin into our country. And why doesn't O'bama clear cut and burn the poppies in Afghanistan like Bush did?

The whole idea about universal health care working as being half way affordable is by EVERYONE being on it. Especially those healthy 20 somethings, that is what drives the costs down. It works EVERYWHERE else that way around the world, yet the only country that didn't have it, the good ole USA had the highest medical costs by as much as a third over everyone else. Now that is just BS, not only that medicine costs twice as much too, why do you think people do the drug runs to Mexico & Canada to fill their scripts. If you think this system is something you need to defend even shutdown government over is beyond belief.
Why do Americans take most of the world's pharma? what's that about? Almost 70% of Americans are taking at least one prescription drug, more than half take two, and 20% are on five or more--and you wonder why insurance and your so called 'health care' is so expensive. It is because of the PEOPLE. We now have more people dying from pharma than illegal drugs. More people dying from pharma than car accidents. Hell more people driving while on legal drugs are killing more people than drunk drivers. Eugenics and liberalism combined-America is being eaten from the inside out. Based on the lack of success in the boy presidents efforts to turn around the economy we are now undergoing the nobama debacle. Let us take a look, under the administration of president nobama we have seen;
- Higher unemployment
- More American's on food stamps
- Fewer American's paying federal income tax
- Home sales and new home starts, down
- Anemic economic growth, barely keeping up with the inflation rate
It would seem his "plan" was just a campaign ploy. Face the facts "real dumb" nobama loves a lousy economy, it makes more folks dependent on the government, more moochers to vote for hand out policy's, more democrat votes.

Texas To Tea Party: No, The Alamo Won't Fall Under U.N. Control

The Alamo will not fall under United Nations control if it is named a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Texas Land commission assured Texans on Wednesday, according to the San Antonio Express-News.

In a statement Wednesday Jerry Patterson, the Texas land commissioner, called rumors that the U.N. might manage the Alamo and other Spanish missions in Texas "horse hockey."

"The people of Texas own the Alamo now and in the future. Nothing is going to change that," Patterson said at a gun rights rally at the Alamo on Oct. 19.

George Rodriguez, former president of the San Antonio Tea Party, stirred up rumors in a piece titled 'The New Battle of the Alamo.'

Rodriguez said Wednesday that he never stated that the U.N. would take control, but that he merely provided a "cautionary tale."

“I'm just constantly saying 'may' or 'might,'" he explained. "I'm never once saying that this is going to happen. We need to be aware."

Why is it so hard for you to comprehend the concept of insurance?
Everything should be covered; doesn't mean you have to use or need those services. No policy is ever a la carte.
Never has been, what are you talking about? You're responding to stupidity here.
If that were the case then every single person could say: well, I don't have diabetes, so therefore I'm not paying for someone else to have it; and same could go for cancer, heart conditions, and on and on and on.
If you don't need medications; great.
"silly"
This is a serious question. No answer expected.
Why should a person buy a product that includes parts he does not want or need? Couples in there 60's having to have maternity coverage? Having to have diabetes coverage when he does not need it? Is it because if he pays for coverage he will not need it pays for others who have those problems/situations?

Republicans Go On a Scorched Earth Crusade In Case They Lose In 2014

After the 2012 general election, the Republican Party claimed it had done some soul searching and realized that their extremism toward the poor, women, and minorities cost them the victory they were certain was theirs for the taking. Mainstream Republicans concluded that the party should reach out positively to the many groups they alienated with their extremism and engage in compromise, and hardline conservatives were convinced that if the party had been more extreme voters would have handed them victory. The extremist conservatives concluded that opposing compromise and lurching farther to the right was the key to undying support from the voters. After shutting down the government and making a very real threat to default on the nation’s debt, there is little doubt that Republicans abandoned the official party line and lined up en masse behind the hardline conservatives and followed their plan to pitch farther to the right and decry compromise.

Two events in the past two days revealed that the entire Republican Party is in the grips of extremists, and that they have no intention of compromising, even symbolically, or abandoning their assault on the American people and the government. It is safe to say now that there are no moderate Republicans in either the House or Senate and despite their declining approval ratings; they have embraced teabagger extremism and are firmly in the grasp of the Koch brothers’ teabagger movement.

On Tuesday in the U.S. Senate, every single Republican who voted to raise the debt ceiling and re-open the government voted symbolically to repudiate their own votes out of abject fear of extremists who believe they control the fate of the Republican Party. Because they are mortified of the hardliners on the far right and the billionaires funding the teabagger movement, Republicans held a “symbolic vote of apology” to the extremists for taking what they thought was a “moderate” position to keep America from defaulting on its fiscal obligations.

It is difficult to comprehend why Republicans in the House and Senate are terrified of crossing megalomaniac Ted Cruz, but 27 Senate Republicans symbolically begged Cruz and the Koch brothers for forgiveness for doing their jobs. It is likely that Republicans who voted with Democrats to save the nation’s economy took the teabagger and conservative belief tank warnings that their votes were part of the public record and fair game to marshal support for primary challenges. Their “symbolic apology vote” is revealing in that Senate Republicans are well aware that there is a steep political price to pay for opposing extremists who lust to decimate the economy, and it does not bode well for Americans with a waning hope that the GOP learned anything from the public’s ire for shutting the government and nearly crashing the world’s economy. House Republicans will likely hold a similar apology vote this week and House budget chairman Paul Ryan put Democrats in the Senate on notice that he is a devoted follower of the extremist no-compromise sect.

http://www.politicususa.com/2013/10/31/republ...

so i wonder if the apology tour will bring up their poll numbers?

LOL

Surveying the GOP wreckage

A survey of the wreckage reveals a GOP blamed for the dysfunction, seen as both uncompromising and unprincipled and having earned the title of “most unpopular major political party in the history of U.S. polling.”

Public distaste for congressional Republicans is palpable.

Start with the Fox News poll last week that found 75 percent disapproving of the job Republicans in Congress are doing and just 20 percent approving. Fox has been asking the question since 2005, and disapproval never exceeded 60 percent until late 2011. Now standing at a record 75 percent, it is 9 points higher than it was just two months ago.

Lest you assume it’s simply a plague on everyone’s house, disapproval of Republicans in Congress is 12 points higher than that for their Democratic colleagues, while approval is 13 points lower.

Other polls are in the same record neighborhood.

In a recent CBS poll, 78 percent disapproved of the way congressional Republicans are handling their job. Quinnipiac pegged the number at 74 percent, matching a record high for the poll.

Pew, looking at attitudes toward Republican leaders in Congress, found 72 percent disapproving. From 1997, when Pew first asked the question, until 2011, disapproval never exceeded 60 percent.

None of these polls suggest deep affection for congressional Democrats, but in every case they are much more highly regarded than their GOP counterparts.

The Republican Party itself has also achieved record heights of unpopularity.

In the Fox News poll, 63 percent harbored unfavorable views, with just 30 percent reacting favorably. Unfavorables for the GOP are the highest ever recorded and 16 points higher than the average over the Fox poll’s lifetime. And while voters are now unfavorable rather than favorable to Republicans by a 33-point margin, for Democrats that margin is just 9 points.

I could go on citing the record level of unfavorables for the GOP — 64 percent in a CNN poll, 63 percent in an ABC/Washington Post poll and 62 percent for Gallup — but, suffice to say, never in the history of polling has either party been seen unfavorably by as many voters as the Republicans are today.
