Barack Obama, our next President

Typical cons. Always trying to rework one of our most cherished documents to their benefit!
SOP!!!
"Rand Paul constitutional amendment on Congress: Does it miss its mark?
Sen. Rand Paul (R) wants a constitutional amendment to prevent Congress from exempting themselves, and other top US officials, from laws that apply to ordinary Americans. He may be thinking about Obamacare here, but his idea is getting trounced from left and right.
Christian Science Monitor
By Peter Grier 1 hour ago
Sen. Rand Paul (R) of Kentucky has introduced a constitutional amendment that he says would prevent members of Congress from voting into law special treatment for themselves or for pretty much any other top US federal official.
Why is he doing this? It seems clear he’s aiming at Obamacare provisions that some Republicans say give preferential status to members of Congress and their staffs. There was a lot of talk about that during the recent unpleasantness of the government shutdown and debt-ceiling struggle, if you remember.
The amendment’s language, released Monday on Senator Paul’s official website, seems straightforward. Its first section says,“Congress shall make no law applicable to a citizen of the United States that is not equally applicable to Congress.”
Further sections say similarly that laws have to be equally applicable to the president, vice president, ambassadors, other public US officials, the US Supreme Court, the chief justice, and other federal judges.
That’s about it. Simple, right?
Well, yes and no. The words may be concise, but in this case their effects would be wide-ranging and unpredictable. And in terms of Obamacare, it’s possible that this amendment, if adopted, would have the exact opposite effect of what Paul evidently intends.
That’s why it has drawn some harsh criticism from both ends of the political spectrum...."

so do you think that if Obama hits the record low in the polls that Bush set that we're just going to fire him?
doesn't matter how low it goes. he's not going anywhere until Hillary moves into the WH.
and the whole 'Obama divide and conquer' bs doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
Since Barack Obama became president, the extremists who have taken over the Republican Party have escalated their demands every time he’s caved, using the entire government of the United States as their bargaining chit.
In 2010 he agreed to extend all of the Bush tax cuts through the end of 2012. Were they satisfied? Of course not.
In the summer of 2011, goaded by an influx of Tea Partiers, they demanded huge spending cuts in return for raising the debt ceiling. In response, the President offered an overly-generous $4 trillion “Grand Bargain,” including cuts in Social Security and Medicare and whopping cuts in domestic spending (bringing it to its lowest level as a share of gross domestic product in over half a century).
Were Republicans content? No. When they demanded more, Obama agreed to a Super Committee to find bigger cuts, and if the Super Committee failed, a “sequester” that would automatically and indiscriminately slice everything in the federal budget except Social Security and Medicare.
Not even Obama’s re-election put a damper on their increasing demands. By the end of 2012, they insisted that the Bush tax cuts be permanently extended or the nation would go over the “fiscal cliff.” Once again, Obama caved, agreeing to permanently extend the Bush tax cuts for incomes up to $400,000.
Early this year, after the sequester went into effect, Republicans demanded even bigger spending cuts. Obama offered more cuts in Medicare and a “chained CPI” to reduce Social Security payments, in exchange for Republican concessions on taxes.
Refusing the offer, and seemingly delirious with their power to hold the nation hostage, they demanded that the Affordable Care Act be repealed as a condition for funding the government and again raising the debt ceiling.
This time, though, Obama didn’t cave.

so stop with the FOXbot whining.
He's bent over backwards for the Republicans, they just don't give a sh#t. Carol has been spewing her same lie since Inauguration Day.

Public Again Out of Touch with Washington?
Republicans are filled with an unchained glee by the missteps and bumbles of the Obamacare website roll-out. Meanwhile, people who support the law and care about people getting coverage not only lament the debacle in human terms but also see a chance to show how government can concretely deliver benefits for people's lives being squandered for trivial reasons. And yet, if you look at the polls, through this process, support for the law has either held steady or even bumped up while all of this has been happening. It's too early to say how this is affecting public perceptions of the law. But even the short-term repercussions may not be what we'd imagine.

I heard on TV this morning that the healthcare.gov website is being changed so that people will be able to get quotes before they enter their information. If that is true, it should make things go faster. Right now, the system is verifying eligibility for millions of lookie loos who have absolutely no intention of signing up. I have to say that was a major flaw with the program.

It did work. It took Christi sabotaging the Republicans, a freak storm, and programming voting machines on a large scale to steal votes for Obama to remain as the sitting president.

Gallup poll -
Americans' approval of the Affordable Care Act rose to 45% in October from 41% in August.
I expect it will be at or near 60% this time next year.
This just in....

The United States loses all credibility throughout the entire world. Nobody in the world believes a word that comes out of Obama's mouth. The press corps in the White House openly laughs at Jay Carney. The United States has no credibility in Europe. The United States has no credibility in the Arab world. The United States has no credibility in Asia.
In other news, the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda expressed confidence in the continued presidency of Bary Soetoro.
... and Kenya now claims Obama was born in Hawaii.
