Ignorant "real dumb" made a statement that 24 billion was spent on delaying the vote on a debt limit. He must have had a source, so I asked him for it. Being the coward he is he did not respond.

First of all, it isn't $24 billion "spent on the debt ceiling fiasco". It's $24 billion "out of the U.S. economy." Big difference.
Two bad you are not smart enough to learn how to use a search engine.
Here’s a breakdown of some of the economic cost according to TIME:
About $3.1 billion in lost government services, according to the research firm IHS
$152 million PER DAY in lost travel spending, according to the U.S. Travel Association
$76 million PER DAY lost because of National Parks being shut down, according to the National Park Service
$217 million PER DAY in lost federal and contractor wages in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area alone

"uselesssince for ever"
A nothing answer, lets take a look;
- 3.1 billion lost in government services, who cares our current government offers lousy service
- 152 million in travel, almost all of that money will be spent
- 76 million lost because National Parks were shut down, dollars that will be spent
- The contractors will still pay those wages, federal employees will get paid for any work they did and many will paid for sitting on their fannies, all 217 billion will be spent

This whole party system sucks. Instead of doing what's good for Americans, they have temper tantrums, and screw us by closing part of the government. Both parties constantly bash each other instead of doing their job.

If they would focus HALF their energy on working together, and getting things done, instead of bickering,.....we would once again be a great county.

It's no wonder we are the laughing stock of the planet.

What did you do while you were furloughed?

Watched Porn!

"The world’s most popular porn site says web traffic spiked during the partial government shutdown"

"Here’s how the excited porn purveyor put it:“Country wide there has been an increase of 4.5%, while the states with the highest spikes have been Nevada (up 42%), Oklahama (up 21%), and Florida (up 14%)"

No, Obama didn't violate anything. CGI Federal built the system.

I know hindsight is 20/20 but I think we have learned that the company with the lowest bid isn't necessarily the best pick. "CGI Federal’s parent company, Montreal-based CGI Group, was officially terminated in September 2012 by an Ontario government health agency after the firm missed three years of deadlines and failed to deliver the province’s flagship online medical registry."

I don't know what kind of procedure the Federal government has for awarding contracts but we may need to take another look.

You people seem to have inherited your intelligence from monkeys.

As an aside, I don't know why people complain about the unemployment rate. If you think about it, the average IQ in the United States is 98. I think it is a miracle that we have as many people employed as we do.
