Dems could retake House if voter anger carries into 2014, polls show
Democrats could win "a significant majority" in the House if the voter anger aimed at Republicans over the government shutdown carries into 2014, new surveys commissioned by a progressive group shows.
According to Public Policy Polling, which conducted 25 surveys in GOP-held House districts on behalf of MoveOn.org , incumbent Republicans now trail generic Democratic candidates in 15 of the 25 districts. The results, combined with two previous surveys, show Democrats leading in 37 of 61 districts polled since the beginning of the government shutdown.
And when voters were informed that the Republican candidates supported the government shutdown, Democrats took the lead in 11 additional districts (one race became tied).
"This means that our results indicate Democrats have pickup opportunities in an astounding 49 of the 61 districts surveyed," Public Policy Polling's Jim Williams wrote in a memo announcing the findings.
Democrats need to net 17 seats in order to retake the House in 2014.
The poll results are in line with other recent surveys that show most Americans blame the GOP for the 16-day government shutdown, which began after the Republican-controlled House refused to pass legislation to fund government services unless President Barack Obama's health care law was delayed or defunded.
But before Democrats start ordering bulk champagne for November 2014, there are some factors to consider. The midterm elections are more than a year away and the Public Policy Polling surveys were conducted in the middle of the shutdown debate.
"Moreover," Williams wrote, "generic Democratic candidates are not the same as actual candidates. Democrats must recruit strong candidates and run effective campaigns in individual districts if they are to capitalize on the vulnerability revealed by these surveys, and they must maintain a significant national advantage over Republicans."

Well that certainly backfired for the Tea Baggers.

if that happens we will end up with an additional 11 million people qualifying for subsidized health insurance. Do you think we can afford that?

Not raising the debt ceiling on top of failing to fund the government would take hundreds of billions of dollars out of the US economy plunging us back into a recession or worse. Lower our credit rating.

This is what YOUR buddies wanted to do.

Tell you dickhead Republicans in Congress to investigate the anti-American activities of those that wanted to do this. Not some computer glitches.

Here's the answer you should have given: Because this administration has perfected the art of stonewalling and sweeping dirt under the rug, and the liberal media doesn't give a damn.
It has nothing to do with Republicans expecting to be included in the political process.
lol! Funny how it took McConnell and Reid working together to get past the debt ceiling problem.

Cons in the House were so dysfunctional, they gave up!

What will fix a $400 million Internet venture that doesn’t allow most people to sign up and doesn’t produce hardly any sales on its core business of service plans? A presidential speech, that’s what!

The troublesome rollout of the health care exchanges has been a glaring embarrassment for Obama’s SIGNATURE (LOL) legislative achievement.

White House officials say the president will discuss steps the administration is taking to address the glitches, including ramping up staffing at call centers where people can apply for insurance by phone.

The Department of Health and Human Services says it is also bringing in technology experts from inside and outside of government to help diagnose the issues.

The White House is also bringing in some human props to deflect from the incompetence of the administration (WE KNOW OPRAH WON'T BE ONE OF THEM, LOL):

Obama will be flanked at the Rose Garden event by people the White House says have already enrolled during the first three weeks of sign-ups.

Really?

How many will that be?

Because if there are less than 476,000 — the “enrollment number” that the White House tried floating over the weekend — it’s going to remind everyone that there is a very large difference between creating a user account and an actual, CONFIRMED purchase of coverage.

IMO, that should disqualify ANYONE from becoming this country's Commander In Chief.
But you elected Dick Cheney as VP. He never went - he had "better things to do"

You just ran Mitt Romney for Pres.- he hid out in France.

Lordy...just turned on Obama's "used car salesman" pitch about Obamacare a half an hour ago and he's just getting warmed up...

For someone who's lied through his teeth since this monstrosity's inception, at least he's still a fast talker.

Unfortunately, for him, there's no crisis to distract us now.

The "loyal followers" behind him clap on cue.

Too hard to believe.

that might have been better then letting a private company fail again at that that it makes millions of dollars from. kinda like Halliburton don't you think? and did Bush pay them more than $100 million?
lol lol lol
Back to the point....

We gave Obama 100 million dollars to write the software for ObamaKare.
Obama took that 100 millioin dollars, then stole the software from a private company and had his "programmers" remove any reference to the patent holders from the software script.

Where did that 100 million dollars go?

Did you read about the NSA under this administration spying on our foreign allies now?
Do you not get the implications or the consequences of this?
Obama is not only trying to make his fellow Americans out to be the enemy but our allies as well.
Your thoughts about this?
The NSA has been conducting warrantless wiretaps and otherwise spying on Americans as well as "certain" of our nations allies since at least 2001. You weren't supposed to learn about it but thanks to Edward Snowden you did.

Rest assured babe, there's far more__and the USA has many more agencies than the NSA poking around in peoples business at home and abroad.

You're only in shock because FOX has told you to be.
