You seem to have forgotten that the Dow opened at 8,279.63 on the morning Obama took the oath of office.
Yes it opened at 8,279.63 before Obama took the oath, and it lost 332 points that day.

9/3/2008: Dow closed at 11,532.88
Obama accepted the Democrat Nomination that evening. The next day the Dow lost 344 points.

11/4/2008: Dow closed at 9616.60
Obama won the Presidential election that night. The next day the Dow lost 477 points.

Want to see what brought the Dow up? Fed's QE programs!

Hillary Clinton was just introduced as the "next president of the United States" at some event.

Should we forget Obama has three more years to go?

That's a long time for anyone to be introduced as the "next president of the United States".

Wonder how she'll spin ignoring repeated requests for more security in Benghazi.

It was embarrassing watching her squirm in one of her last presidential debates trying to answer why she had lied about landing under fire.

She had to admit she was embarrassed. Which was embarrassing.

to the contrary, stock prices are all about return on investment...increase taxes on dividends and capital gains and stocks will be worth less in order to generate the same net return....
People will not stop investing just because the tax structure changes. Obviously, they will make less but that's only fair considering the preferential treatment they have been receiving all these years. People will still invest because they can make a profit.

Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta (left) and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin E. United States Senate Committee On Armed Services
Mr. Panetta said he and Mr. Obama, along with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, discussed the attack for 15 minutes in the Oval Office the afternoon of Sept. 11, and also covered an anti-American protest that had broken out that day at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.
Testifying to the Senate Armed Services Committee, Mr. Panetta said the president told them to “do whatever you need to do to be able to protect our people there,” though when it came to specifics the president “left it up to us.”
Republicans said they were dismayed that the Defense Department’s top officials and Mr. Obama didn’t speak again over the next six hours, during which two attacks claimed the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens.
“Did he ask you how long it would take to deploy assets, including armed aviation, to the area?” asked Sen. Kelly Ayotte, New Hampshire Republican.
“No,” answered Mr. Panetta.
“He didn’t ask you what ability you had in the area and what we could do?” Ms. Ayotte asked.
“No,” Mr. Panetta responded again.“I mean, he relied on both myself … and Gen. Dempsey’s capabilities. He knows generally what we have deployed to the region; we’ve presented that to him in other briefings.”

This is the only part Real Dave needs to know:

"Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta on Thursday revealed he personally broke the news to President Obama that the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya, was under attack last year — but he and the president didn’t speak the rest of the night as the assault on the compound unfolded."

I watched Panetta's testimony and heard him say it myself.

When pointedly asked again if the president called him at any time during the night of 9/11/2012 to get an update, Panetta looked like he was under a lot of duress and said, "No."

Have you forgotten this administration has more people dependent on government since the Great Depression? And that 30 million people will still be uninsured after Obamacare?

You don't think that's a bit odd? When this administration claims Obamacare's only purpose is to insure everyone? But makes more people dependent on government?

True. It will have been 8 years since her last run by 2016. She might not hold up in her 70s.

Reagan was 69 when he took office too.

But electing an old woman who has had too much exposure and has even more baggage is different somehow.
