No, no...and no. They didn't drain the swamp of corruption either. Pelosi was still there after she said it and Obama brought his own corruption from Chicago that overfilled the swamp.

It's not only better than nothing. It is better than what the Rethugs were offering. At least it gets us past the holidays before the crazies start anew with their ransom demands. It appears by their comments that many in the House are fed up with the tea party and their antics. Let's hope they can rein them in and bring sound judgment back to Congress.
I'm not sure it actually does get us past the holidays. People know this process WILL start all over again just as bill are coming due for Christmas.

So why would anyone want to do any shopping when the smart thing would be to hoard as much cash as you can to see what happens in January / February?

The tea party grinches have already done the damage and stolen Christmas... even though it was a 'joke' the first time.

Since Valerie Jarrett sits up all night writing these speeches, it's only polite he read them two or three time a day.

All those budgets
Bush had budgets, the debt doubled, housing collapsed, a near financial meltdown happened, two quagmire wars. Those budgets saved us all.
Here's a link for government spending, revenue, deficit and debt:
www.usgovernmentspending.com

Here's a link that describes in detail how the government funds itself:
http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html

The debt was 5 trillion dollars on the day the Arabs started a war with the United States.
The debt was 8.5 trillion dollars when the Democrats took control of all the purse strings of government.
The deficit was 0.16 (that's zero point one six) trillion on the day the Democrats took control of all the purse strings of government.

The Democrats CRA program collapsed the economy after two years of oversight by Democrats Dodd and Frank, from whom we heard a constant stream of lies right up to the collapse.
After the Democrats caused the economic collapse, the people of Connecticutt tossed Dodd out on his ass.

There’s no reason to pretend Shutdown Theater, Obama’s bungle of veterans’ benefits, or Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid wondering why he should do anything to help kids with cancer, when so many furloughed federal employees were hurting, never happened.

Everything the Democrats did during the shutdown should be a wound that never stops bleeding.

Neither can you as the Obama admin has not released them.

However the reality is with the stats we currently do have more people have signed up to live on Mars than Obamacare.

Oh, yeah.

Anything that lowers Govt spending is a winner to American Taxpayers. The battle has been delayed and the off election "wish" list is coming to a close. NO serious BIG spending programs are approved during an election year.

What a waste.
You know this president never met with Republicans once during the entire first two years of his presidency except one staged conference before passing the ACA?

Or that he never met with any leaders of the Republican Party for 18 consecutive months into his presidency?

He and the Democrats pretended they had a one-party system in 2009 and 2010.

So when Republicans won back the House in 2010, it upset the apple cart so demonizing them was the next best way to get rid of them.

Are you NOT surprised Republicans would be a little tee'ed off and put up a fight to be a part of the political process?

And are you NOT surprised they didn't want to kiss the king's ring when he demanded they give him everything he wanted now?

Obama could not be more disconnected from the political process if he were King Tut.

I'm guessing that when any department or agency has to close any office because there was a reduction of funds appropriated for it, idiots like you will think the government shut down, right?
Here's the facts:
There was no government shut down. It was all a hoax.
87 percent of the government was unaffected by the government shut down hoax.
We need to cut spending by just about that same amount this year, and many subsequent years to get back to a balance between revenue and spending. Continuing to borrow 1.3 trillion dollars every year for just the day-to-day existence of the government leads to certain collapse. In this situation, a catastrophic event, which one is certain to occur at some point in time, will cause the government to collapse at that time.
To save the government from the suicidal path it's on, we need to have a government shut down hoax a few times each year because...
You can't use the term "balanced budget" when discussing the government of the United States because this incompetent government hasn't even had a budget since Obama took office.
Even countries like Nigeria can generate a budget. Obviously, the government of even Nigeria is more competent than this Democrat government.
I don't call you smart or intelligent either son.

And those are facts too.

But after the mid-term elections, which was a critical issue for the Democrats. There is no way in hell the Democrats want to face the people after the people discover exactly what the Democrats are doing to them.
That was Boehner's primary assignment, to make everything go away until after the coming elections.

He was not elected by a majority vote. He got a little more than half of half of eligible voters. Over 100 million voters decided to just stay home. For whatever the reason.
