If the only alternative is the government, then it really doesn't matter how well it works. The people will have no other choice.
That is the end-game the Democrats are working toward.
Machiavelli described the Democrats' agenda very well.

The economic collapse and resulting recession was caused by the Democrats' Marxist CRA program that collapsed our economy after two years oversight by Democrats Dodd and Frank, from whom we heard a constant stream of lies right up to the collapse.

When Barbara Retkowski went to a Cape Coral, Florida, health clinic in August to treat a blood condition, she figured the center would bill her insurance company. Instead, it demanded payment upfront.
Earlier in the year, another clinic insisted she pay her entire remaining insurance deductible for the year -- more than $1,000 -- before the doctor would even see her.
“I was surprised and frustrated,” Retkowski, a 59-year-old retiree, said in an interview.“I had to pull money out of my savings.”
The practice of upfront payment for non-emergency care has been spreading in the U.S. as deductibles rise. Now, the advent of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is likely to accelerate that trend.
Many of the plans offered through the law’s insurance exchanges have low initial premiums to attract customers, while carrying significant deductibles and other out-of-pocket cost sharing. The second-lowest tier of Obamacare plans in California, for example, carries a $2,000 annual deductible.
Hospitals say they need to charge patients prior to treatment because Americans are increasingly on the hook for more of their own medical costs. And once care is provided, it’s often difficult for hospitals to collect.
“It used to be taboo to look like you were looking for money at a time when you were supposed to be focused on patient care,” David Williams, president of Boston-based consulting firm Health Business Group, said.“It’s not taboo anymore.”
High Deductibles
Employers are following suit as they push workers to share more financial responsibility for health care. The percentage of insured workers with a deductible of $1,000 or more for single coverage jumped to 34 percent in 2012 from 12 percent in 2007, according to a study by the Kaiser Family Foundation and the Health Research and Educational Trust.
Overall, the number of people with high deductible plans rose to 15.5 million in 2013 from 1 million in 2005, according to America’s Health Insurance Plans, the industry’s lobbying group in Washington. The Internal Revenue Service largely defines high deductible health plans as those with an annual deductible of $1,250 or more for individual coverage.
“We expect the trend toward high deductibles to continue,” said Ceci Connolly, managing director of PriceWaterhouseCoopers’ Health Research Institute in Washington.“There’s nothing in the law that curbs high deductibles and we very much expect more and more employers to move to high-deductible plans.”
What better way for Obama to swoop in to save the day - like Mighty Mouse - and transition to single payer with Reid swooping in right behind him - "Mini Me" Mighty Mouse.

Overwhelm the system. That's the plan. Complete government control begins with socialized medicine. Greece here we come.

The Obama administration’s is determined to pursue socialist Euro-style “solutions” to America’s problems even as the European Union is coming to grips with the bitter realities such socialism produces.

The British government says that, at any one time, there are about a million people waiting to get into hospitals. According to the Fraser Institute, almost 900,000 Canadian patients are on the waiting list at any point in time. And, according to the New Zealand government, 90,000 people are on the waiting lists there.

Why Giving Republican Bullies a Bloody Nose Isn’t Enough
Now is the time to lance the boil of Republican extremism once and for all.
Since Barack Obama became president, the extremists who have taken over the Republican Party have escalated their demands every time he’s caved, using the entire government of the United States as their bargaining chit.
In 2010 he agreed to extend all of the Bush tax cuts through the end of 2012. Were they satisfied? Of course not.
In the summer of 2011, goaded by an influx of Tea Partiers, they demanded huge spending cuts in return for raising the debt ceiling. In response, the President offered an overly-generous $4 trillion “Grand Bargain,” including cuts in Social Security and Medicare and whopping cuts in domestic spending (bringing it to its lowest level as a share of gross domestic product in over half a century).
Were Republicans content? No. When they demanded more, Obama agreed to a Super Committee to find bigger cuts, and if the Super Committee failed, a “sequester” that would automatically and indiscriminately slice everything in the federal budget except Social Security and Medicare.
Not even Obama’s re-election put a damper on their increasing demands. By the end of 2012, they insisted that the Bush tax cuts be permanently extended or the nation would go over the “fiscal cliff.” Once again, Obama caved, agreeing to permanently extend the Bush tax cuts for incomes up to $400,000.
Early this year, after the sequester went into effect, Republicans demanded even bigger spending cuts. Obama offered more cuts in Medicare and a “chained CPI” to reduce Social Security payments, in exchange for Republican concessions on taxes.
Refusing the offer, and seemingly delirious with their power to hold the nation hostage, they demanded that the Affordable Care Act be repealed as a condition for funding the government and again raising the debt ceiling.
This time, though, Obama didn’t cave — at least, not yet.
The government is shuttered and the nation is on the verge of defaulting on its debts. But public opinion has turned sharply against the Republican Party. And the GOP’s corporate and Wall Street backers are threatening to de-fund it.
Suddenly the Republicans are acting like the school-yard bully who terrorized the playground but finally got punched in the face. They’re in shock. They’re humiliated. They’re trying to come up with ways of saving face.
With bloodied nose, House Republicans are running home. They’ve abruptly turned negotiations over to their Senate colleagues.
And just as suddenly, their demand to repeal or delay the
blah... blah... blah....

More dry ice bombs found at LAX

Detectives Tuesday continued their efforts to find the suspect wanted for planting dry ice bombs around Los Angeles International Airport.

One dry ice bomb exploded and two plastic bottles containing the dangerous material were found around 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Tom Bradley International Terminal in a restricted area, Los Angeles Police Department Det. Gus Villanueva said.

Perhaps you can provide the text in ObamaKare where it is spelled out explicitly what criteris must be enforced by law such determination is made.
You can't.
That text doesn't exist.
A non-Machiavellian law would read something like this:
(some health care asset) will be provided to (some intended recipient) provided (some specified condition is met).
This used to be the manner laws were written before the Democrats propped up Obama in the presidency.
ObamaKare reads:
"The Secretary will determine...." ... everything.
There is no law in the ObamaKare law. It's blatantly a Machiavellian blueprint giving completely subjective authority to some "Secretary" to adjudicate every aspect.
For example, actual text from ObamaKare:

SEC. 1145. TREATMENT OF CERTAIN CANCER HOSPITALS.

‘‘(B) AUTHORIZATION OF ADJUSTMENT.—

Just another chance for Obama to look presidential, while y'all still play politics. Y'all claim that's how Romney lost. Are you trying to repeat your past failures?
