Medicare covers only 80% of costs, so most people purchase a supplemental policy.
Typical cost for a married couple for Part B, Part D, and supplemental are at least $500-600 per month.
Granted, the coverage is far better than the exchanges, and more importantly, you can find a doctor educated in the United States.

U.S. To Become World's Largest Oil Producer, Overtaking Russia
""ONDON, Oct 11 (Reuters)- The United States will become the world's largest oil producer next year - overtaking Russia - thanks to its shale oil boom which has transformed the global energy landscape, the West's energy watchdog said on Friday.
The prediction comes only days after estimates by the U.S. government showed the United States, the world's largest oil consumer, has ceded its ranking as top global oil importer to China, thanks to the shale revolution cutting import needs.
"The United States' place in the driver's seat of growth is also a throwback to decades past," the International Energy Agency said in its monthly report.
The U.S. resurgence as an oil producer is already reshuffling the cards in the game of world energy diplomacy, playing it a new hand in relations with long-term ally and top OPEC producer Saudi Arabia.
Major producers such as Russia are now forced to invest billions of dollars into new pipelines towards Asia as they can no longer rely on demand from the West, and have to deal with increasingly assertive Beijing.""

Looks like Mr. Obama knows a thing or two about increasing oil and ng production.
The market priced out coal. Too dirty. Impossible to cleanup.
You know? I'm still waiting for the reich wing nuts to come out and cheer this great news! They've been beating the drum on this since McCain / Palin.

MARTHA AND THE VANDELLAS
"Nowhere To Run"

Nowhere to run to, baby
Nowhere to hide
Got nowhere to run to, baby
Nowhere to hide

It's not love
I'm running from
It's the heartaches
That I know will come

'Cause I know
You're no good for me
But you`ve become
A part of me

Everywhere I go
Your face I see
Every step I take
You take with me, yeah

Nowhere to run to, baby
Nowhere to hide
Got nowhere to run to, baby
Nowhere to hide

I know you're
No good for me
But free of you
I'll never be, no

Each night as I sleep
Into my heart you creep
I wake up feeling sorry I met you
Hoping soon that I'll forget you

When I look in the mirror
And comb my hair
I see your face
Just a-smiling there

Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide
Got nowhere to run to, baby
Nowhere to hide

I know you're
No good for me
But you've become
A part of me

How can I fight a lover
That's sugar sweet
When it's so deep, so deep
Deep inside of me

My love reaches so high
I can't get over it
It's so wide
I can't get around it, no

Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide
From you, baby
Just can't get away
No matter how I try

I know you're no good for me
But free of you I'll never be

Nowhere to run to, baby
Nowhere to hide
Got nowhere to run to, baby
Nowhere to hide
Got nowhere to run
Got nowhere to run

Rock And A Hard Place lyrics

Rolling Stones
Post my meaningnew

The fields of Eden
Are full of trash
And if we beg and we borrow and steal
We'll never get it back
People are hungry
They crowd around
And the city gets bigger as the country
comes begging to town

Stuck between a rock
And a hard place
Between a rock and a hard place

this talk of freedom
And human rights
Means bullying and private wars and
chucking all the dust in your eyes
And peasant people
Pooper than dirt
Who are caught in the crossfire with nothing
to lose but their shirts

Stuck between a rock
And a hard place
Between a rock and a hard place

You'd better stop, put on a kind face
Between a rock and a hard place

We're in the same boat
On the same sea
And we're sailing south
On the same breeze
Building dream churches
With silver spires
And our rogue children
Are playing loaded dice

Between a rock and a hard place
You'd better stop

Give me truth now
Don't want no slam
I'd be hung drawn and quartered for a sheep
just as a well as a lamb

Stuck between a rock
And a hard place
Between a rock and a hard place
You'd better put a stop
Put on a kind face
Can't you see what you've done to me
Whatever

There's that $634 million lie again. You people are so gullible!
CGI Federal was awarded a $93.7 million contract to build the federal health insurance exchange, healthcare.gov . Not $634 million. According to CGI, that figure "includes all of the company’s contracts for Health and Human Services Department programs over the last seven years, covering 114 transactions. The cost of building healthcare.gov was issued under this contract."
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/10/10/ru...
Here is another estimate.

"Seeking insight, Daily Intelligencer tracked down a senior official at the Department of Health and Human Services who, on the condition of anonymity, was willing to give us the skinny on CGI’s Obamacare work — and how much the company was paid for it. The official, who did not have permission to speak to the press, is a contracting specialist at HHS who has managed more than $1 billion in purchases (although did not work directly with CGI).
The answer? All contracts between CGI and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the arm of HHS that is charged with implementing the Affordable Care Act, inked since mid-2010 were for Obamacare IT work. The total value of the contracts meeting that description ( http://usaspending.gov/explore... ) is $515 million.
"It is safe to say that everything CGI has done for HHS since Obamacare passed is related in some way to Obamacare and preparations for the rollout of healthcare.gov ,” said the official.“Even technological alterations to the Medicare and Medicaid systems were modifications required by Obamacare. None of it happens separately. It's all one massive system now."

Double Dutch Bus Lyric

Give me a ho, if you've got your funky bus fare,ho

There's a Double Dutch Bus comin' down the street
Movin' pretty fast, so kinda shuffle your feet
Get on the bus and pay your fare
And tell the driver that
You're goin' to a Double Dutch Affair
Fe, Fi, Fo, Fum
Well, I'll be darn here it comes
The Double Dutch Bus is on the street
You'd better get off the curb move your feet

Bus fare trans-pass, that's the way my money lasts
Ain't got no car to get around, when I go to work
I've gotta go downtown, now, I've missed my train
That's a darn shame, when I'm running late
No sleep's to blame, if you've gotta wife, you know
I'm right, gotta special man, well, I can understand
Uptown, downtown, everybody's getting down
Say uptown, say downtown

Well, I've missed my bus I know I'm late
I've gotta do something I knit, ow, I hate
I'm gonna walk to work fifteen blocks
I already got a hole in my socks
Go ahead and laugh that's okay
'Cause, what I really wanna say
I got bad feet my corns hurt
To top it off I'm lost for work

Let me tell you what I say
When I'm dealing with the funky sidewalk
Let me show you how to walk
When I gotta do my funky walk
Let me tell you what I say
When I'm dealing with the funky sidewalk
I say, sugar

Bip, bomp, bam alakazam
But only when you're grooving
With the Double Dutch Man
Put on your skates don't forget your rope
'Cause I know I'm gonna see you
At my Double Dutch Show

Rebecca, Lolita, Veshawn and Dawn
Every time you do the Double Dutch you really turn it on
Bilzarbra, Mitzery, Milzetty, Kilsan
Titzommy, Kitzerrance, Kilzommy that's my man
Come on get on my Double Dutch Bus
(The Double Dutch Bus)

Let me hear you say do that
(Do that)
Let me hear you say, do that again
(Do that again)
Let me hear you say, do the, do
(Do the, do)
Let me hear you say, do the, do the, do
(Do the, do the, do)
Do the, do da, do da, do, do, do
(Do the, do da, do da, do, do, do)
Yeah

The tea party is no more patriotic to America than Osama bin Laden was, and their desire to see this government fail is only matched by their incessant threats to “take America back” to the 1770s when the country was under tyrannical English rule. Teabaggers feel strong support for America, but it is an America that never existed and unrelated to 2008 when their worst nightmare came true; the people elected an African American President. After he saved the economy, cut spending, created jobs, and cut taxes that most Americans believed earned him a second term, the Tea Party Taliban threatened more violence, stocked their armories, and prepare for revolutionary war.
http://www.politicususa.com/2013/06/01/patrio...
You're confusing Osama with Obama and Obamacare which is destined to see this nation fail. Nevermind the government failing. It's already been there, done that.

It's the people I'm worried about. Especially people like you. The economy is anything but saved. Obama has done more spending than any other president. Jobs being created are part-time because of Obamacare and Obama has raised taxes at every opportunity. Obamacare, by the way, is a tax law. Which brings me back to my original point.

It's hard to overstate the magnitude of the GOP's strategic failure here: Obamacare's launch has been awful. More than a week after the federal insurance marketplaces opened, most people can't purchase insurance on the first try. But Republicans have chosen such a wildly unpopular strategy to oppose it that they've helped both Obamacare and its author in the polls.
This could've been a week when Republicans crystallized the case against Obamacare. Instead it's been a week in which they've crystallized the case against themselves.
And for what? In 2011, when Republicans last tried serious hostage taking, they managed to drive down both their numbers and President Obama's numbers. But even if they could manage that now -- and while the NBC/WSJ and Washington Post/ABC News polls both showed some improvement in Obama's numbers, an AP poll showed deterioration -- this isn't 2011.
In 2011, President Obama was going to be on the ballot against a Republican candidate who wasn't involved in the mess in Washington. The congressional GOP's kamikaze mission made sense as a way to aid an outsider challenger like Mitt Romney. But Obama won't be on any more ballots. Congressional Republicans will be. At this point, it's not a kamikaze mission. It's just suicide.
Senior Republicans -- who never wanted to be in this mess in the first place -- are increasingly desperate to get out. On Thursday, House Republicans floated a six-week delay of the debt ceiling and Senate Republicans floated a proposal that would reopen the government and raise the debt ceiling in return for repeal of the medical-device tax and a handful of other minor concessions.
Democrats didn't jump at either proposal. Their position is no policy negotiations until the government is reopened and the debt-ceiling is raised and they're seeing nothing in the polls to change their mind.
The problem for Republicans right now is they still believe they need to get something, anything, in return for funding the government and paying the bills. They promised their base concessions and they feel they need to deliver. But as of yet, they're still not prepared to give anything up -- at least not anything Democrats see as a concession.
The hope was that the pain of the shutdown and the Democrats' fear of the debt ceiling would give the GOP leverage. But all Democrats are seeing is a disaster for the GOP. And at this point, the GOP is seeing it, too.
Obamacare will collapse under its own weight without any help from Republicans. They were elected to speak on behalf of the people and that's what they did.

But all of this will be forgotten after the first of next year when the reality of Obamacare is all anyone will be talking about.

It won't matter how hard Republicans tried to prevent it in the long run. Once the government is up and running again, people will forget all about this. But they won't be able to forget Obamacare and will remember Republicans tried.

Whatya think Carol---on h/c exchanges should the givverment get all dysfunctional into partial shut down again?
Who would be "responsible" then...the givverment..for the partial payments of subsidies...the tax payers paying premiums, the tax payers paying commie-marxist tax and fines, or private sector ins company providers partially paid for by tax payers directly via premiums and indirectly by tax payers paying for givverment subsidies, and charitable foundation donators, picking up the slack....
It's just going to be a big mess. That's all I know.
