People like you who put their complete trust in this bureaucratic monstrosity deserve every "glitch" and rate increase you get.

What's your motto? "Starve your kids, feed the Obamacare till." Fool.

Here's a question nobody on Earth has been able to answer. Why don't you take a shot at it.
Where will the money come from to pay for Obama's government?
You have to identify an actual source of money to answer this question. "Money will grow on trees" is not an acceptable answer.
Funding will come from:

1 - The reduction in medical cost the Federal government now picks up for the uninsured.

2 - The increase on the tax rate of earnings from capital gains, rental properties, taxable annuities and other investment income for those filers whose TAXABLE INCOME is more than $200,000, or married joint filers whose TAXABLE INCOME exceeds $250,000.

3 - The 0.9% increase in the Medicare payroll taxes for that same group.

4 - Tax on people who don't sign up for health insurance.

5 - An increase in the threshold for deductions for medical expenses from 7.5% to 10% of adjusted gross income for those under 65*.

*Beginning Jan. 1, 2017, ALL taxpayers may deduct only the amount of the total unreimbursed allowable medical care expenses for the year that exceeds 10% of their adjusted gross income.

6 - Excise tax on high cost employer-sponsored health coverage.

7 - Inclusion of cost of employer-sponsored health coverage on W-2.

8 - Distributions for medicine qualified only if for prescribed drug or insulin. Taxpayers will no longer pick up the tab for OTC medications.

9 - Increase in additional tax on distributions from HSAs and Archer MSAs not used for qualified medical expenses.

10.- Limitation on health flexible spending arrangements under cafeteria plans.

11.- Imposition of annual fee on branded prescription pharmaceutical manufacturers and importers.

12. Imposition of annual fee on medical device manufacturers and importers.

13. Imposition of annual fee on health insurance providers.

14. Elimination of deduction for expenses allocable to Medicare Part D subsidy.

15. Modification of itemized deduction for medical expenses.

16. Additional hospital insurance tax on high-income taxpayers.

17. Excise tax on elective cosmetic medical procedures.

What the Shutdown Has Achieved

Gallup finds that the GOP’s unfavorability rating has spiked in the last month:.....

An unfavorability rating of 62% passes the worst number for Republicans in the last twenty years, and that came at the nadir of the Bush era in the midst of the financial crisis. The party’s favorability rating (28%) is also an all-time low since Gallup began asking the question in 1992. It is even lower than the party’s favorability after Clinton’s impeachment. Post-Bush Republicans have managed to achieve what I thought couldn’t be done–they have made their party even more unattractive to the country than it was at the lowest ebb of Bush’s last years in office. The ratings for the Democrats aren’t great (43% fav/49% unfav), but the gap between the parties has widened significantly in just the last month.

Shame on You,
President Obama
In one of the most despicable and immoral acts of any president in the history of the United States, President Obama, the Commander in Chief, is playing politics over the dead bodies of American soldiers killed in action during the government shutdown. These soldiers were killed following his orders.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center, commented,“I cannot conceive of any other president in our history doing what Obama is doing in this situation. As Commander in Chief, he signed the orders sending these young men into harm’s way. They died following his orders. Now he is denying their families the military’s “death gratuity” normally given within 3 days of the death, which covers funeral expenses and travel to Dover Air Force Base to receive the flag draped casket that holds their fallen hero. President Obama is callously adding to the unimaginable grief and the heavy burden these surviving loved ones carrying just to score some political points.”

Thompson continued,“The generals in the Pentagon and the combat generals in the field also share in the moral responsibility to our troops. How could they allow this to happen?”

The recently passed Pay Our Military Act should allow for these death gratuity payments. If the lawyers in the Obama administration say otherwise, Congress must act to quickly overturn this outrageous injustice to our fallen warriors. See if he will veto the bill. Or he could issue his oft-used Executive Order as Commander in Chief to allow those payments.”

This is the latest optic in the “make it painful policy” his administration is using in his battle with Republicans over the government shutdown.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time the Obama Administration has played politics with the lives of those serving our Nation. Obama and his administration already showed total disregard for the WWII Veterans attempting to visit the WWII Memorial.

In Benghazi, for the sake of Obama’s re-election rhetoric, the Obama Administration issued “stand down” orders, offered no intervention and no reinforcements; actions that resulted in the death of 4 Americans including Ambassador Chris Stevens and 2 former Navy SEALS. A year later, the administration is still wrapped up in the politics of that incident.

I see.
Yes, it is out of the question. The time to control the debt ceiling is BEFORE passing legislation that requires funding.

It’s Time to Throw the Tea Party One Ring into Mount Doom

Robert Costa reports this morning:

In the coming days, the House will likely consider legislation that would establish a bipartisan negotiating group to resolve the current fiscal impasse. It’d include select members from both chambers, and once passed, it’d start immediately.

This sounds alarmingly similar to 2011’s deficit-reduction supercommittee, which could not reach bipartisan agreement of any kind and whose miserable failure led indirectly to the creation of the budget sequestration that nearly everyone hates, but is kept in place by Republicans who enjoy mutilating their nose to spite their face.

It seems increasingly clear that the House leadership is playing out the string in the hopes that Obama or Senate Democrats will crack.

Yet consider another report (also from the indispensable Costa) on the implacability of the Houses kamikaze-cons:

“They may try to throw the kitchen sink at the debt limit, but I don’t think our conference will be amenable for settling for a collection of things after we’ve fought so hard,” says Representative Scott Garrett (R., N.J.).“If it doesn’t have a full delay or defund of Obamacare, I know I and many others will not be able to support whatever the leadership proposes. If it’s just a repeal of the medical-device tax, or chained CPI, that won’t be enough.”

Representative Paul Broun (R., Ga.) agrees, and says Boehner risks an internal rebellion if he decides to broker a compromise.“America is going to be destroyed by Obamacare, so whatever deal is put together must at least reschedule the implementation of Obamacare,” he says.“This law is going to destroy America and everything in America, and we need to stop it.”

Does this sound to you like there’s even a remote possibility that any deal, big or small, could pass muster with both Senate Democrats and 218 Republicans? If not, why are we putting the country through this? Why are Republicans inflicting real, immediate, and tangible harm on the economy in order to accomplish the impossible (delay or defund Obamacare) address an abstract future threat (debt) or merely to save face? Why isn’t the majority of the House majority isolating its rightmost faction and ending this pointlessly asinine pissing match?

Contra the conventional wisdom, I maintain that no one in leadership will lose his job. The very nature of Tea Party opposition, whether it issues from the likes of Bazooka Ted and His Gang in the Senate or the unappeasable Jacobins in the House, is to throw weight without consequence. They evince no interest in actually wielding power from the inside, which would require restraint, conciliation, and moderation. They are hysterics on the brink of utter demoralization. The danger they pose to democratic norms, institutional comity, and political functionality is precisely why they can’t be bargained with; they must be marginalized.

It’s time, Republicans: it’s time to throw the One Ring into Mount Doom.

Obama's “Not A Single Dime” tax pledge broken yet again.

You just listed a plethora of tax increases, most on the middle class seeing how nearly half of the population pays no income tax.

BTW, your number one states "...cost the Federal government now picks up...".

The government "picks up" nothing. We, the taxpayers do.
