The law says "Tax Credit" Deal with it.

You think the oil industry subsidies that every grown up person in America knows exist are cash payments? Really? They are primarily special tax considerations.

Only a complete fool thinks there is a difference in your wallet if you get a 10% discount or a 10% instant rebate.

Sending an industry more paying customers - A great way to bankrupt it.

I disagree. The entire process is computer driven.
The computer program is overwhelmed. "Quality Software Services, a Maryland-based health care IT company, was paid $55 million to build the data hub, software that serves as an intermediary between the exchanges and all the federal agencies that must be accessed to determine eligibility.
Registering with the site is just the beginning. Since the exchange is only open to American citizens, the computer program must determine if a person is even eligible for the exchange. That means the exchange must first verify a customer's identity with the Social Security Administration, and then check their immigration status with the Department of Homeland Security.
Next, the computer program for the exchange must determine if the person is eligible for a subsidy, and if so how much. That involves requesting income data from the Internal Revenue Service.
"The exchanges must also check to make sure applicants are not already enrolled in another government health insurance program, which would make them ineligible for Obamacare. That means retrieving data from the Veterans Health Administration, the Department of Defense, the Office of Personnel Management, and the Peace Corps. It also means checking with a state's Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program agencies to see if an applicant is already enrolled in one of those programs."
As I understand it, all this must be done BEFORE a person can actually enroll in a health plan. Once enrolled, the final step is for the exchange to provide the information to the insurance company which must also integrate their own computer systems with the exchanges!

They had 3-1/2 years and millions of taxpayer money to get this thing off the ground and up and running like a Swiss watch.

This should be a wake up call of what's to come. And a bucket of ice water dumped on anyone's head who still doesn't get it.

WASHINGTON (AP)- House Speaker John Boehner told Republican lawmakers Thursday he will give President Barack Obama a proposal extending the government's ability to borrow money through Nov. 22 - but only if he agrees to negotiate over ending the partial government shutdown and a longer-term increase in the debt ceiling.
"It gets us down the road a little bit so they can continue to talk," Rep. Tim Griffin, R-Ark., said after Boehner presented the plan to a closed-door meeting of House Republicans.
Though the GOP proposal could avert an unprecedented federal default that the Obama administration has warned could occur as early as Oct. 17, it would not necessarily bring a quick end to the 10-day partial federal shutdown. Obama has insisted that Congress reopen the government and extend the debt limit without condition.
A White House official said Obama would be willing to negotiate over the budget "once Republicans in Congress act to remove the threat of default and end this harmful government shutdown."
Rep. Robert Pittinger, R-N.C., said the six-week extension would provide "an opportunity to bring the parties together."
Some conservatives expressed reservations " I'm not very enthusiastic about that," Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, said of Boehner's plan.
Under Boehner's offer, the House would also appoint negotiators to bargain with the Democratic-led Senate over a budget compromise. Those talks have been on hold for months, and the two chambers have deep differences over taxes and cuts in benefit programs...."

Want to tell you I am so proud of you for posting something, even though it is copy and paste, that has some value.

Problem is all this does is kick the can down the road concerning the debt limit. Still same issues on the table because, if you would have read the article, does nothing about the CR issue

I don't see any government shut down.
Since there is no government shut down, how about we get back to the important issues the public's attention was diverted from.
Why is the United States training Al Qaeda terrorists in a US training facility in Jordan?
Why did Obama stumble into a trap a blind person could see in Syria?
Why did the entire world give Obama a vote of no confidence?
Why is the NSA spying on normal Americans and not spying on muslim terrorists here?
Why is the IRS targeting opponents to the Democrats?
Why did Obama lie for two weeks covering up the Al Qaeda attack in Benghazi?
How's that investigation of Eric Holder running guns for Mexican drug cartels going?
Why does our president gets bitchslapped like a jailhous fag every time he meets with Putin?
Why won't Obama admit he's a muslim and a communist?
You must live in russia, eh comrade?!?!?!

The startling CNN poll on the shutdown

When I saw the poll was due to be released, I expected the Republicans to be taking a beating considering the terms President Barack Obama and his staff have been using to describe them over the past 10 days ("extremists," "people with a bomb strapped to their chest") and the unfair, derogatory press coverage of their position.

The results are so dramatically better for Republicans and worse for the Democrats and Obama than I expected that I was curious to see just how much better Republicans are faring during the shutdown of 2013 (and how much worse the president and the Democrats are faring) than in comparable polls of the 1995-96 shutdowns."

You still can't define "subsidy", moron.

So, some oil company gets a "tax credit", but when it files its income tax statement, it has a loss and does not owe taxes.

Does the government send a check to that company in the amount of the "tax credit"?
No. Moron. That would be a subsidy.

There are no subsidies paid to oil companies. Subsidies to oil companies is an urban legend. They don't exist. There is no such thing as a subsidy paid to oil companies in the United States.

Excerpt from an article 'Political Correctness' is Totalitarian Mind Control' by David Kupelian:
Our civilization is literally being turned upside-down through the strategic redefinition (and therefore transformation) of our society’s operating principles.
Today’s most obvious case in point: Barack Obama, a far-left radical manifestly hostile toward free-market capitalism and American exceptionalism – in fact, to just about everything American – but who campaigned using powerfully evocative words of national restoration and reconciliation.“Hope,”“change, ”“fairness,”“justice,”“reform” and “transparency” would usher in a bright new era of “healing” and “unifying” America and the world through this charismatic young leader’s “post-racial,”“post-partisan” presidency. What we got instead was a jarringly narcissistic, supremely demagogic and corrupt Chicago politician, lacking both in experience and wisdom, and displaying breathtaking contempt for America’s Constitution and its best-in-the-world system of government.
The political and cultural left has hijacked virtually our entire language in the last couple of generations. It has redefined many key words, phrases and concepts, changing not only the words we use, but the way we think.

All you have to do to verify this is pick some politically sensetive word and track its published definition over the past hundred years or so.
