A Fox News national poll asks voters to imagine being a lawmaker and having to cast an up-or-down vote on raising the debt ceiling:

- 37 percent would vote in favor of it, while;
- 58 percent would vote against it.

We all know the irresponsible Socialist Party of Obama & Hairball Reid will vote for it.

Subsidized?
Forbes 2012:
"No wonder President Obama loves to bash Big Oil. Thanks to high crude prices, Americaís big three oil companies are raking in the profits. So in 2012 Obammy tried to take away their tax breaks.
The Senate voted down the presidentís proposal 51-47 on a bill that needed 60 votes to survive. Itís unlikely that the senators spent much time poring over financial statements and annual reports. But if they had it might have given them a reason to vote against the presidentís wishes.
In 2011 these THREE OIL GIANTS EACH PAID MORE IN INCOME TAXES THAN ANY OTHER CORPORATION IN AMERICA.
ExxonMobil in 2011 made $27.3 billion in cash payments for income taxes.
Chevron paid $17 billion
and ConocoPhillips $10.6 billion.
And not only were these the highest amounts in absolute terms, when compared with the rest of the 25 most profitable U.S. companies (see our slideshow for the full rundown of who paid what), the trio also had the highest effective tax rates.
Exxonís tax rate was 42.9%, Chevronís was 48.3% and Conocoís was 41.5%. Thatís even higher than the 35% U.S. federal statutory rate, which is already the highest tax rate among developed nations.
.......(away from Big Oil?
Hereís the three biggest ones. First off, the president doesnít think that oil companies should be able to get credit on their U.S. income tax bills for all the billions in income taxes they pay to oil-rich regimes around the world.
Second, the president doesnít think Big Oil should be allowed to deduct from taxable income some of those costs incurred in exploring for oil and drilling wells.
Third, the president wants to cancel oil companiesí domestic manufacturing tax deduction of 6% of the value of oil and gas they produce in the United States.
Those donít sound like egregious handouts, but, said the president,ďItís not like these are companies that canít stand on their own.Ē
Sure they can stand on their own, but thatís not the point. Do we really want a corporate tax policy that has one set of rules for oil companies and another set for everybody else?
Yet the campaign against Big Oil tax breaks wonít end there. Weíll hear again and again between now and Election Day that oil companies arenít paying their share.
Left-leaning tax groups like the Citizens for Tax Justice try to make the case that ExxonMobil pays tax of just 13% or so on its U.S. profits. But if Exxon pays a smaller portion of its taxes in the U.S. itís because it faces huge tax bills overseas in countries like Angola where the petroleum income tax is as high as 70%. Like every U.S. multinational, Exxon gets tax credits that offset their U.S. tax liability by the amount of tax paid to other countries.
How bad are those oil ďtax breaks,Ē really? The deduction for oil drilling costs isnít much different from the deductions that pharmaceutical companies are allowed to take for research and development costs (no one has proposed taking those away).
And as for the domestic manufacturing deduction, every other company that manufactures anything in the U.S. can deduct up to 9% of the income they generate on those goods. Right now, oil companies only get a 6% deduction on the oil and gas they produce.
Why single them out?"
Answer: Because it is Obama, who has never even run a lemonade stand doing the preaching.
Michelle: "Look at how much tax they pay".

Dumbass Michelle doesn't realize that she is really saying " OMG OMG look at how much profit they make"

Then she is saying " OMG OMG they need subsidies OMG OMG"

You can try your half fact subsidy arguments all you want. These are oil industry subsidies.

Topic was TeaParty congressmen facing Republican primary challenges from more traditional Repubs backed by business rather that elderly white nutjobs.

AS LONG AS THE DEM WILL NOT DELAY OBAMACARE NOT DEFUND IT BUT
DELAY FOR ONE YEAR FOR THE POOR LIKE OBAMA DELAYED IT FOR THE RICH 2015 THEN the U.S. SHOULD default on its debt, which the Treasury Department says could happen as soon as October 17, "there would be a large international impact," Aso said last week. "If there is no prompt resolution, various impacts will emerge."

No lie. Just stupidity on your part.
There were lots of opinions including the President of Libya. Doncha think we should investigate it ourselves?
And that explains Obama ordering Susan Rice to appear on every network that would show her lying ass to the public to lie about Benghazi while the event was... how did you put it... "awaiting further investigations."

Carl Bernstein Slams Media's '50/50' Shutdown Coverage:'This Is About The Republican Party'

Bernstein applauded the "Morning Joe" crew for highlighting a memo from House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), who echoed President Barack Obama in saying that Democrats have already made concessions by agreeing to funding the government at sequestration levels.

"It's about demagoguery and it needs to be viewed that way," Bernstein said. "What you just did on the air with that quote from Eric Cantor, every newspaper in America, The Wall Street Journal, ought to have it on the front page."

"It's about truth. It's about fact. It's about a wing in [the GOP] that has no interest in truth or governing or fact and it's bringing the country down," he continued. "It might not bring the party down. Like McCarthy, it might work. That's the terrible thing."
