Seems that's exactly what he's doing. Does he not know HE is the president? And not Republicans?
Realtime likes presidents who smack 'em down and refuses to give the other side anything. Not even a measly crumb. Not even a small sliver of cake.
Right, Realtime?
You don't even understand what this is about.

Obama has decided that Executive Authority must be preserved for our Government to function properly.

He will not negotiate over funding, because of the precedent it sets for any future President who happens to have one branch of Congress against him.

Any President, of any Party, could be forced to bend to every whim of a single branch of Congress, under threat of destroying the economy if he doesn't go along.

That's blackmail, plain and simple.

The full faith and credit of the United States has nothing to do with defunding the ACA.

The Repugnants are using the Nuculur Option.

Obamacare is a success, with Kentucky having the best results in the nation. Imagine, the State where all their politicians hate the ACA, yet we the people of Kentucky are signing up in droves.

And it's driving you haters over the edge.

Yeah. We know that. There's enough votes in the Senate to end the government shut down, but Harry Reid is holding the govenment hostage demanding money be paid to the Democrats' Marxist welfare program.
Why is Harry Reid keeping the government shut down?
You keep talking to those ghosts in your TV.

They the ones that told you about oil subsidies??

Teh mascot is supposed to scare the hell out of the opposition.
How about we change the name of the Washington Redskins to the Washington Communists? That should scare the holyhell out of anyone... with any sense and an education.
ever since the NBA Baltimore Bullets changed their name to whatever it is now, the team has sucked...

the Redskins should become the Washington Senators, a proud losing tradition...

NY Giants should be forced to change their name, an obvious slur against short people....

and the religious name of the New Orleans team has gotta go....

Show me the ghost.
Show me the subsidy to the oil companies.

By the way, tax exemption for something like operating expenses isn't a subsidy. "Allowing" a higher than average revenue (where did that concept come from in a capitalist system) isn't a subsidy.
A subsidy to oil companies is money the government gives to oil companies, like the subsidy to Solyndra and to GM and to GE and to all the crimanls on Wall Street that caused the economic collapse, and to Big Bird while children with cancer don't get a subsidy and have to die (exactly like a death panel works).

Show me the ghost.

Par for the course. They suck at golf and they suck at governing. It's been a comedy of errors from the start.

Now they have a signature initiative in healthcare that has a busted mainframe. This is incompetence.

I'm not sure that the correct strategy wouldn't have been for the GOP to just let it all ride in light of that. CR, debt ceiling, Obamacare--just let it all ride, let it all crash.

Surely Boehner knows how well his team has done down ballot. It's breathtaking. While the administration has been floundering around like a sick fish, and Reid has been a model of doddering intransigence, the GOP has been redrawing enough districts to keep the House and take the Senate. Obama knows this also.

But, feel free to rebel against the constitutional republic. You do know that when it's over, the winners will certainly hang the losers, right?
