American President doesn't negotiate with hostage takers who want to subvert American law. Obamacare has become part of the settled law f the land--an American law since 2009 so get over it and move on.
Leaders are supposed to try and make both sides happy - especially when it involves a major law that will affect everyone.

The Democrats are holding all of us hostage.

NOBODY IS FORCING YOU TO BUY FROM THE EXCHANGE!!! You have the option of purchasing your health insurance in the off-exchange market. One often missed advantage to the Affordable Care Act is the fact that it promotes price competition among health plans.
You mean it sucks.

Nope. Looks like the foundation is cracking.

White House Signals Possible Opening On Debt Ceiling

Washington (CNN)-- After weeks of near silence without any hint of a potential compromise between the Obama administration and congressional Republicans over raising the nation's debt ceiling, the White House may be offering some conciliatory language that could help lead to a deal to prevent a potential default on October 17.

He gave over negotiations to senile Reid. You know the same idiot who claimed to have been told by someone's brother-in-law that he had over heard a in cafe that a presidential candidate had committed a felony (or something equally absurb) and than failed to provide proof.
That fool!
The same Harry Reid who blew the whistle on Mitt Romney not paying his fair share in taxes for the last 10 years or more .(And backed-up by John McCain who was the only one who knew for sure) That truth may have cost Romney the Presidential election and thank God for McCain and Reid's honesty!

Harry Reid needs serious psychiatric help. Not bloviating on the Senate floor.

"Light-skinned negro"..."doesn't talk in a negro dialect".

This is your idea of a mentally balanced person?

Obama's reaction? No problem. A Democrat said it.

Baloney! Stop drinking the Fox News poisoned wine. John Boehner claims that there are not enough votes in the House to pass a cleaning funding budget resolution and end the Government shut-down. Ask the Speaker to PROVE IT! Put in to a vote and find out for sure. That would be honorable bipartisan political responsibility to the American people and respect for what the people want. Listen to Ron Wydon. You listened and agreed when Ron Wydon criticized the President for not being more open with the Congress and the people on NSA spying so why not now? America is jeopardizing our energy advantage and rural communities are facing huge revenue loss because of this senseless shutdown. The House has the votes to pass the Senate's resolution and reopen the government -- it's past time they do it.#JustVote

So now your only whining complaint is that Obamacare did not go far enough in providing better quality healthcare for the poor, sick and elderly. Why didn't you urge your Congressmen to strengthen the Affordable Healthcare Bill before it passed rather than running around willy-nilly wasting time crying about 'creeping socialism' and hokey 'death panels'in the law?

A Republican Tea Pty nut called the President a liar on the House floor during the State of the Union and President Barack Obama let that pass too. Our President shows more toleration towards ignorance and prejudice then his distractors .

Obamacare is a power grabbing tactic for the power hungry to have more control. Harry Reid, your hero, admitted on a recent PBS interview it was the first step to a single payer system.

Have you done any research on single payer systems in other countries?

It sucks.

Good night.

This is a real hot button issue and not limited to just the elderly.
Have you ever read the Hasting Report? A very good publication on death and dying.
I agree this shouldn't be left to bureaucrats, but individual hospital ethics panels need to provide some guidance.
Now my experience with hospitals and a stroke victim was totally different. My aunt would not survive and get her out of here immediately was the hospital's response.
the real money spent in medical costs is in hospital stays, not in doctor fees or drugs...and the hospital costs are real....

the so-called government shutdown is irrelevant to the economy...just a lot of political hot air...

so, get over it and get back to work...except for an old lady like you....

P.S. There is no "Ron Wydon" in Congress.

I'm back. Waiting for the Tylenol PM to kick in.

Calling the president a liar when he clearly has a pattern of lying is not even in the same ballpark as calling a black presidential candidate a "negro".

Who even uses that word anymore?

What if a Republican had said what Harry Reid said? Do you think Obama would have let it pass then? Or the NAACP? Or every nutcase in the liberal media?

Get real.

Obama said he will negotiate with Republicans just as soon as they give him everything he wants.

What would there be to negotiate? Liberals were very impressed though, I'm sure.
