No what's bankrupting the country is, blue states having to carry the weight of the red states. Same folks that talk all that shit about welfare, just so happens to live in a welfare state. If even half of your republican states would pull their own weight, we wouldn't be going through all of these financial problems as a country. The same people screaming " the gov't is too big to oversee," are the same ones abusing it. Hypocrisy at it's highest level, the republican way !

See this is how dictators operate. Do democrats actually think they will not be treated the same way?
Oh wait this guy voted for O'bama.
The Constitution addresses this very directly:

"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."

What this means is, the government must use "due process of law" to take any property (money is property) from any individual.

And, obviously, the federal government has absolutely no authority to revoke driving priviledges given by the state to any individual. The federal government has absolutely no authority there.
I really wish Obama and these Democrat clowns would have read the Constitution at least once in their life.

Just keep watching those polls, dupe.
I noticed you didn't mention anything about how many people think shutting the government down was a good thing.
Think about that....
The truth is, Harry Reid has a pile of bills on his desk right now that will allow the government to resume functions. Harry Reid has made the decision to hold the government hostage in demand for a ransom payment in the form of the Democrats' Marxist programs, in particular ObamaKare.
we can fix that....

Poll: Americans not happy about shutdown; more blame GOP

Fully 72 percent of Americans disapprove of shutting down the federal government over differences on the Affordable Care Act; just 25 percent approve of this action.

Republicans in Congress receive more of the blame for the shutdown: 44 percent of Americans blame them, while 35 percent put more blame on President Obama and the Democrats in Congress. These views are virtually the same as they were last week before the shutdown, when Americans were asked who they would blame if a shutdown occurred.

Obama didn't change anything liar, He gave small and medium sized companies some breathing room to properly comply with the law. That's not unconstitutional. Did you know that your hero Ronald Reagan stopped enforcing the Sherman Anti Trust Act when he was President? The result of that was big banks turning into ginormous banks that later crashed the economy with their gambles and bad decisions.
Yes, it is unconstitutional. According to the Constitution, the president cannot write his own version of any law. He is obligated to adhere to the law as written. When a law is enacted, the president does not have any constitutional authority to determine who that law applies to, and who it does not apply to.

I do wish Obama and all of you Democrat dupes would have read the Constitution at least once in your life.

The Democrat Party has morphed into Socialists/Progressives and has move to the far left.

John Kennedy was more of a Conservative than Romney or McCain, but now with Obama, Pelosi & Reid you far left loons have gone off the chart.

Alec Baldwin's phenomenal:

1- there is, perhaps, nothing more offensive than watching the out of touch, sanctimonious William Kristol smirk his way through MORNING JOE
ó ABFoundation (@ABFalecbaldwin) October 2, 2013

2- talking about the govt shutdown. Kristol wants to write it off w a C'est la guerre insouciance. More blatantly out of touch white men
ó ABFoundation (@ABFalecbaldwin) October 2, 2013

3- minimizing everyone else's suffering. Carl Bernstein schools both Kristol and Joe S w the appropriate blend of history, policy, humanism.

Why would small businesses need more breathing room if they weren't suffocating already under this law?
They've had four years to prepare to properly comply with the law. They've even downsized and stopped hiring to prepare for the overburdening new regulations.
The truth is Obama needs another year of breathing room to get his disaster off the ground.
Obama, like his flailing vision, weren't ready for prime time.
The respected PNC Bank economic outlook survey indicates that 78% of the firms surveyed are not delaying hiring/staffing because of the health care law. Many of those firms are more worried about government spending cutbacks however.

Tropical Storm Karen Advisory #15

Current Location: 22.1N, 87.6W
Geographic Reference: 487 NM south of New Orleans, LA
Movement: NNW near 10 kts
Our Estimated Maximum Sustained Winds: 50 kts with gusts to 65 kts
National Hurricane Center Estimated Max Winds (as of 8am CDT): 50 kts with gusts to 65 kts
Organizational Trend: Steadily increasing
Current Hurricane Severity Index: 5 (2 size / 3 intensity)
Max Predicted Hurricane Severity Index: 8 (3 size / 5 intensity)
Max Predicted Radius of Tropical Storm Force Winds: 90 NM
Forecast Confidence: Average
Changes From Our Previous Forecast
There are no significant changes in our forecasts track. We are now forecasting Karen to reach hurricane intensity during the day on Friday.
Our Forecast
A recon plane investigating Disturbance 58 found a well-defined circulation center and winds to 50 kts. Based on this, the National Hurricane Center has upgraded the disturbance to Tropical Storm Karen. Our forecast takes Karen a little west of north over the next 36 hours. By Saturday morning, we think that Karen will begin to feel the effects of an approaching cold front as it is located about 85 NM south of the mouth of the Mississippi River. Southwest winds aloft ahead of the cold front should turn Karen northeastward toward the Florida/Alabama border. Landfall should occur late Saturday night or on Sunday morning.
Though Karen should reach hurricane intensity on Friday, increasing wind shear on Saturday should lead to some weakening prior to landfall. We think that Karen's winds at landfall will be in the 50 kts to 60 kts range. Once inland, Karen should weaken rapidly as it accelerates to the northeast along the cold front.
Expected Impacts Onshore
Northeast Yucatan: The heaviest rains will remain to the east of the Yucatan, over the Yucatan Channel. However, accumulations of 2-4 inches are possible today. No major flooding is likely.
Northern Gulf Coast:
Rain : Squalls could reach the coast between southeast Louisiana and the western Florida Panhandle on Saturday morning. The heaviest squalls will move onshore Saturday night and Sunday morning. Rainfall amounts of 4-8 inches with isolated totals of 10 inches will be possible over a small area near and to the east of where the center moves inland. Localized flooding is possible.
Wind : Sustained winds in the 55 to 55 kts range are possible within about 45 NM east of where the center moves onshore late Saturday or early Sunday. Isolated gusts to hurricane force are possible.
Surge: A tidal surge of 3 to 5 feet is possible near and within 45 NM east of where the center makes landfall.
Expected Impacts Offshore
Northern Gulf of Mexico: The first squalls are likely to reach the deepwater lease areas offshore southeast Louisiana (Mississippi Canyon) by late Friday morning. Tropical storm conditions are expected on Saturday morning. Winds of 45 kts to 55 kts are possible offshore Southeast Louisiana and Mississippi on Saturday morning. Wind gusts could exceed hurricane force. Conditions will begin to improve Saturday night after the center moves ashore.
The next advisory will be issued by 3 PM CDT.

You sure live in an alternative universe, to even approach believing this is good for Republicans is laughable to say the least.
We will see how much RESPECT the republicans get in the mid terms, a dying demographic and each year their support numbers drop. Two elections on and they will never be seen again in your lifetime. Try and find anyone under 30 who shares your ideas, not even in the middle of the bible belt. It's a lost cause!
There's a reason Obama has felt threatened by any opposition from the beginning starting with the tea party movement and attempting to silence Fox News and now Republicans after winning back the House.

There's a reason he demonizes and dismisses his opposition at every opportunity.

His vision has always been a one-party power grab monopoly and a single-payer total government control health care system. It can't be accomplished without blind loyalty from his base and destroying any resemblance of a two-party pro-capitalist America.

He was taught well by his Communist mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, and he has forgotten the lessons.

Time for you to either wise up or flatly deny loyalty to the Constitution and admit you are an anti-capitalist - the two foundations by which we were founded and live by.

At this juncture, these are your only two choices and the line between them couldn't be drawn more clearly.

Were any cops acting stupidly offended? Were any Special Olympians offended?

The Garcia's complaint was probably the result of some Democrat staff lackey bringing it to the attention of the VFW. I'm sure most of the 89 to 99 year old survivors watched all 21 hours of Cruz's speech on C-span. Also of the up to 10,000 estimate only 100 to 650 were Americans soldiers.
