Dr. Tim Shepherd: "There’s a lot of administrative work already which is taking away from patient care. Of the practice’s 15 employees, five do only paperwork, and they are constantly fighting with insurance companies and Medicare."<quoted text>
There has been a severe shortage od doctors or years. Now there is going to be a lot of doctors that will retire early or going into teaching or research. There are also a lot of people who had planned to go into medicine that are choosing other careers. The doctors that will be left are going to be overwhelmed.
Dr. Shepherd is just one of many physicians dreading the layers of bureaucracy Obamacare creates.
Dr. Shepherd said many family doctors just like him are either retiring or leaving their practices to join large medical corporations. He said doctors are being told their individual practices can’t survive the pressure of Obamacare’s administrative costs.
Hard to believe one man with such a tunneled and egotistical vision created this mess. History will not be kind to him.
