Most conservatives don't watch FoxNews any more or less than other news sources and feel no need to either defend or criticize same.
Leftwingers like Jean from Queens prefer the environmentally destructive dead tree media so are always up to speed on yesterday's news.
You're actually right. CNN, for example, is finally leaving the media camp of liberal ideology imprisonment because Fox was whipping their ass in ratings.

Even CBS has become more neutral and is beginning to report the actual news and not the power elite's talking points.

Heck, even Chris Matthews on MSNBC has lost the thrill up his leg.

The finding indicates that there is clearly a shortage of global warming in this down economy. To put the figure into context, that’s roughly a million square miles of new ice in one year. In fact, the ice has even forced ships to reroute cargo as the Northwest Passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific has remained blocked by pack-ice all year long."

Last year was a record low point. So this year is not a record low does not men everything is back to normal.

Sea ice extent for August 2013 averaged 6.09 million square kilometers (2.35 million square miles). This was 1.13 million square kilometers (398,000 square miles) below the 1981 to 2010 average for August, but well above the level recorded last year, which was the lowest September extent in the satellite record. Ice extent this August was similar to the years 2008 to 2010. These contrasts in ice extent from one year to the next highlight the year-to-year variability attending the overall, long-term decline in sea ice extent"

See? Liberals are brain dead hypocrites.
According to most liberals, there aren't any blacks in the Tea Party. So as long as mass shootings are committed by a white guy, it's easier to label them.

so we do you nutjobs get so riled up every time there's a mass shooting? 2nd amendment reflex? so...let's not talk about guns. just everything else.
nope. i want to talk about guns. and so do a lot of other people.
Just five months ago, a mile and a half away at the U.S. Capitol, the U.S. Senate defeated a compromise proposal to expand background checks on gun purchases, despite vast public support for the proposal.
The gun control proposals had followed the horrific massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown in December, where a deranged gunman killed 20 children and six educators before taking his own life. The Senate proposal would have required background checks for sales at gun shows and the Internet, closing glaring loopholes in current law.
Is there a place in America that hasn't been touched by a mass shooting? Has it become part of life in this country? About 3,000 people, military and civilian, work in the building where the shooting took place. We ask for senators who voted against the gun control bill to go down there tomorrow and look them in the eye.
http://www.courant.com/news/opinion/editorial...
Wasn't that the same proposal the administration had to admit would not have prevented the Sandy Hood massacre?

"vast public support" ... kind of like 21 muslims showing up for the Million Muslim March?

Who is going to be doing these "expanded" background checks?
In case you've been in a coma the past four and a half years: The Attorney General is running guns for Mexican drug cartels. The IRS is targeting political opposition. The NSA is violating the 4th Amendment (with the exception of terrorists here. The NSA isn't spying on the terrorists.) The Democrats won't enforce any existing gun-control laws in their own districts and the bullet riddles corpses are stacked to the rafters in the morgues every weekend.... and on, and on, and on....
Nobody can remember when was the last time anyone heard anything even resembling the truth come out of the White House. The president is an obvious pathological liar.

And, it seems there was a mass murder committed by someone who was given a security clearance because he was black.

Nobody in their right mind would trust this government.

Your proposed solution of preventing violence by making the victims defenseless is insanely ludicrous.

Our culture evolved to a point where everyone didn't need to be armed whenever they went out into the public. It seems we are devolving to a point where everyone has to be armed in public to protect themselves from mass murdering Democrats.

Why is that? What is causing us to regress to that point?

Even though it's been reported on numerous sites that the survivors of Benghazi are being silent and away from the press...and even though three whistleblowers did come forward and were promptly demoted after Obama announced he encouraged whistleblowing...you know firsthand, up close, and personal that this isn't happening?
How do you know this as an absolute fact in light of the above?
You don't really seem to know a lot about current events as has been proven before.
Tell me you know the whistleblowers were demoted at least.
You don't know enough about the subject to be taken seriously.

Numerous sites? LMAO

There were several state department employees who could be subpoenaed__the rest (approx 21) were CIA operatives and contractors.

Scott Smith was right there with Stevens and Smith when the main building was assaulted__where's he at?

Why won't Issa issue the subpoenas?

The Earth has been warming for over 10,000 years, moron.
The ice cap will disappear, like it has done many times in recent Earth history.
When the ice cap disappears, the low-lying coastal plains will be flooded.

What is your plan to stop the Earth from continuing its natural cycle?

Well then, if you want a candidate who never so much as utters they are pro-life even without elaborating, you're going to alienate a significant number of conservative voters.

Because that question is going to come up in the debates every single election cycle.

Even black voters are switching parties in part because of this issue.

However, I agree with you that conservative candidates who are pro-life (and remember Giuliani was pro-choice) should be very cautious as to how much emphasis they allow the opposition to push this issue just to entrap them. But it's always going to be an issue. They just have to learn how to outsmart them without losing the higher ground.

But to label "fundamentalist Christians" as "anti-abortion radicals" is rather naïve on your part. No offense, but it's more of a moral issue and many oppose it on both sides...fundamentalist Christians or not.

Subtract the military setting and the backdrop of the nation's capital, and you have a tragically common event: workplace homicide. Nobody shows up for work anticipating a spray of gunfire into the employee cafeteria. But homicides account for 1 out of 10 fatal on-the-job injuries, according to a 2010 study by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.[...]
Eighty percent of those homicides involved guns. The shooters included robbers, estranged partners and angry clients; co-workers or former co-workers accounted for only 12 percent.[...]
Police in Washington haven't volunteered a motive in the Navy Yard carnage. There's no evidence of terrorism, they say, but they haven't ruled it out. In the end, like so many workplace attacks, it could well be attributed to two things: A lethal grudge. And a gun.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/ed...
So, how do we prevent these Democrats from committing mass murder?

Part of the security for the Navy Yard is the security clearance required.
How did this person get a security clearance? Obviously, he should not have.

But, if he didn't have a security clearance, he would have just killed a bunch of defenseless white people somewhere else.

Why are mass murderers attracted to the Democratic Party?

If we took all the guns away from Democrats, wouldn't that prevent all these mass murders?

It appears we have another mass murdering Democrat.
It should be overwhelmingly obvious by now mass murderers are attracted to the Democratic Party: DC sniper, Virginia Tech, Columbine, Fort Hood, Aurora theater, Sandy Hook, and now the Washington Navy Yard. The events when Democrats commit mass murder are so common, it's difficult to remember all of them.
Mass murderers are attracted to the Democratic Party. The mass murdering Democrats that do the killing themselves are obvious. What isn't obvious is the mass murderers that don't do the killing themselves, like Ho Chi Minh, Mao, Stalin and Hitler.
How many of those are in the Democratic Party? And, how many Eichmans and Bormanns are there in the Democratic Party? Recent history identifies one mass murderer used by the Democrats: Larry Potts (headed both the Ruby Ridge assassinations and Waco mass murders), and was nominated by Bill Clinton to be the number two man in the FBI in charge of the domestic agenda.
Maybe we should just outlaw guns for democrats.
