I honestly don't give a fk if Assad kills all the rebels if they are in fact AlQuaeda. Why would McCain and Graham push to arm the rebels if they are Al Quaeda?
That's a good question.

For conclusions as to Al Qaeda in Syria, search "al qaeda in syria" and start reading. Consensus ranges from Al Qaeda being strong to bieng dominant and there are not really rebels in Syria. The truth is probably somewhere in between. Al Qaeda is the only organization in Syria that is organized and ruthless enough to take control of the country if the Assad government falls.
That is one fact you should not deny. If the Assad government falls, Al Qaeda takes over.

Now, the only question you need to ask yourself is, do you think Americans should be killed helping the exact same people that attacked us on 9/11?
Obama is on their side. McCain is on their side.

Who's side are you on?

Interesting article shedding some light on Syria's history - worth the read:

Syria has always been a complex place religiously. The country has a substantial Sunni Muslim majority, but it also has large minority communities of Christians, Alawites and others.

Alawites are members of an Islamic sect that draw heavily from Christian roots and who celebrate Christmas. They were long known as “Little Christians.”

Christianity made its cultural and intellectual home in Syria. St. Paul famously visited Damascus, and Antioch was one of the world’s greatest Christian centers flourishing under Islamic rule.

In the 1920s, the French arbitrarily carved out the country’s most Christian sections and designated that region “Lebanon” with its capital at Beirut.

But Syria changed after the First World War, and 1915 marked the beginning of the genocide of perhaps 1.5 million Armenians as well as hundreds of thousands of Assyrians, Maronites, and other Christian groups.

However, by the 1990s, five of seven Hafez al-Assad's (President from 1971 through 2000) closest advisers were Christian. His son Bashar is the current president and America’s nemesis in the region.

Christians in Syria today make up around 3 million people including many refugees and disguised crypto-believers.

Already, Christians have suffered terrible persecution in rebel-controlled areas with countless reports of murder, rape and extortion.

The present nightmare is if the present regime collapses, a radically anti-Western regime would emerge and kill or expel several million Christians and Alawites. This would be a political, religious and humanitarian catastrophe unparalleled since the Armenian genocide almost exactly a century ago.

The United States government may be pushing towards not a commemoration of the genocide but a re-enactment.

One more reason why we're in such a pickle. We don't know who the "rebels" are and know Assad's regime is evil.

Prove a negative, that makes sense.
It only shows that you do not believe that the us government wouldn't lie to the people to start a war, do you know the definition of insanity?

Here Lily is a prize propaganda piece in the United States, morons think Russia is still communist and 'only' has junk in their military--that is not the case any longer.

2012: Russia conducted a well-publicized test in which a Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft system shot down two cruise missiles launched from a Tu-95 bomber 800 kilometers away. The cruise missiles were heading for a building not far from where the Pantsir-S1 was parked.

Just the fact that you can say that you feel safe if those chemical weapons are kept in Russia is preposterous.
They should be destroyed and disposed of, if that's even possible.
If that's even possible.

I don't trust Obama. Obama belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood and helps Al Qaeda. Therefore, letting Obama have anything to do with the disposal of the chemical weapons is not acceptable.

The UN has proven itself over and over again to be completely incompetent. They are not an option.

I don't see anything wrong with the chemical weapons being taken to Russia.
If not Russia, what country? What country is safe from Islamist terrorist influence? Definitely not the US. The Muslim Brotherhood is running this government.

Russia is stable. Russia is definitely anti-Islamist terrorist.

Let Russia help us here.

ROTFLMAO!!!!!
These idiots in the Obama Administration didn't think of this as a mater of policy. It had to come out as a wiseguy remark from Lurch, now it's policy.
Just shows how pathetic Democrats are as leaders.
O'bama and Kerry are now still propagandizing that they are going to bomb Syria. WTH. They have lost the brain cell they had left.

Fair is fair dummy!
We are talking about war costs boosting the deficit. Only Bush offered no finding for his wars & just added the cost to the debt.

"In 1950 and 1951 Congress increased taxes by close to 4% of GDP to pay for the Korean War, even though the high World War II tax rates were still largely in effect. In 1968, a 10% surtax was imposed to pay for the Vietnam War, which raised revenue by about 1% of GDP. "

Bush simply said Obama was in a tough position and had to make a tough decision. Obama was too naïve to know about tough decisions as a corrupt Chicago politician and wanting to try Bush and Cheney for war crimes as the president because they made tough decisions.

There are numerous rebel factions some linked to AQ.

The US is training and providing weaponry to some but not all rebel groups, at least not directly.

Interesting that Hezbollah is facing off against AQ linked groups, thrilling actually.

The 1.3 trillion is just the increase in government spending by Democrats, moron. The Democrats took over the purse strings with a declining 0.16 (that's zero point one six) trillion dollar deficit during a war.
" OMG OMG OMG CRA CRA CRA!!!"

So what legislation did the Democrats pass in the first ten months of 2007 that created the worst recession in 80 years.

I have asked this a gazillion times & yet to have failed to answer.
