Democrats & Reagan did what was best for this country. Today's Republicans in Congress only do what they think will help Republicans & hurt Democrats.
'OMG OMG we can allow Obama to be successful as President " Even though it means this country can't be successful.
You seem to be ignorant of the Democrats' sabotage of the United States during Reagan's tenure in the Cold War. To educate yourself on those facts of history, search "john kerry nicaragua ortega". Make sure you get to the stories about the bullshit committee the Democrats created for him, and how about you give us a book report on what you learn about Kerry lying on the floor of the Senate, and about Kerry's outright lies to the American people.
The reason the Republicans gave the Democrats no effective oversight of their Marxist CRA program in exchange for the Democrats supporting the war in Iraq was, the Republicans were well aware of the characteristic sabotage of the United States during a war and didn't want to have to deal with that like they had to in the 1980s.

So?
Krauthammer blasts the Justice Dept claim of imminent treat as justification for the drone attacks.
Krauthammer is discussing the legal basis for drone strikes and in no way implies all drone strikes are verified strikes on al-Qaeda -which according to Krauthammer is covered under the Congress’s Authorization for Use of Military Force — against al-Qaeda and those who harbor and abet it.(Such resolutions are the contemporary equivalent of a declaration of war, as evidenced in the 1991 Persian Gulf War and the 2003 Iraq War.)
legal basis.

2. But Awlaki was no ordinary enemy. He was a U.S. citizen. By what right does the president order the killing by drone of an American? Where’s the due process?

Answer: Once you take up arms against the United States, you become an enemy combatant, thereby forfeiting the privileges of citizenship and the protections of the Constitution, including due process.

Now, for those who believe that the war on terror is not war but law enforcement,(a) I concede that they will find the foregoing analysis to be useless and (b) I assert that they are living on a different and distant planet.

US Sponsored Genocide Against Iraq 1990-2012. Killed 3.3 Million, Including 750,000 Children
In an address last Nov. 22 to The International Conference on War-affected Children in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Boyle tallied the death toll on Iraq by U.S.-U.K. actions as follows:
# The slaughter of 200,000 Iraqis by President Bush in his illegal 1991 Gulf War I.
# The deaths of 1.4 million Iraqis as a result of the illegal 2003 war of aggression ordered by President Bush Jr. and Prime Minister Blair.
# The deaths of 1.7 million Iraqis “as a direct result” of the genocidal sanctions.
Boyle’s class-action complaint demanded an end to all economic sanctions against Iraq; criminal proceedings for genocide against President George H.W. Bush; monetary compensation to the children of Iraq and their families for deaths, physical and mental injury; and for shipping massive humanitarian relief supplies to that country.

Doesn't it concern you that nearly 1/2 the US Senate agreed to follow a UN resolution that is a direct contradiction to US Constitution? You are right on one thing no constitutional rights would be suspended but the fact remains those senators who voted for the resolution showed their disdain for our constitution.
"real dumb" why do you not start a drive for a new amendment that would curtail firearm ownership. If you are successful you will be in hog heaven only the criminals and thugs would possess a firearm. You are one sick piece of manure.

What is disgusting is that you're too GD stupid to know that no Constitutional rights wold be surrendered & this treaty would have no effect on US gun ownership.
This is how GD stupid you people are.

Dumb old Eed, a UN resolutions can not override US law.

There is nothing in that resolution that affects US gun ownership.

Some one said "gun" & you freaking dipsticks went nuts.

What fail?

Congress gave itself a pass on Obamacare health exchanges because it would discourage staffers.

YOU think that Congress should force laws on others it refuses to apply to itself.

Only an Obot would think the Dems childish response is an answer to the Congresses betrayal of the American people.

You are hopeless

In defense of Obama’s drone war
By Charles Krauthammer
http://articles.washingtonpost.com/2013-02-14...
No one is NOT defending the use of drones in limited strikes on known enemy sites.

But the overuse of drones that puts innocents in fear for their lives every single day and drones used willy-nilly to kill males in a certain region who are "considered" the enemy is cowardly.

So if Krauthammer thinks that's A-Okay, then we defer 180 degrees in our opinions on that.

'facts can't change'
Hear what one publisher says about that...
"... One of my first publishing jobs was as the college paperback editor for New American Library, which is now part of Penguin. NAL had a long list of Signet Classics, which included classroom versions of public domain classics — Dickens, Thackeray, Austen, et al. These books were solidly profitable, but we noticed that the sales of our Signet Shakespeare series had begun to flatten out in the face of new competition. So we made the decision to revise the books: new introductions and bibliographies, new covers, and in some instances changes to the texts in light of modern scholarship."

yes, just like the Texas school board has done a good job of erasing facts from textbooks.

but it still doesn't change the facts. when those kids get to college they'll know that to be a fact.

It's Friday, time for the Democrats to do something they want to be buried in the weekend news, and by Monday it's old news and nobody is aware of it.

Today the AFL-CIO will go to the White House and beg to be excused from ObamaKare because of the cost. Wasn't it the AFL-CIO that shoved that Marxist bullshit down our throats? And now they want to be exempted? I've got an idea. Because every Democrat in Washington hates ObamaKare, and everyone who forced in on us, like the AFL-CIO, hates ObamaKare, how about those frauds start helping repeal it.
