Barack Obama, our next President

Flacktard evidently thinks that when I chose West Penn as my electricity provider that West Penn ran a line from the generating station to my house. Or maybe they route electricity they generate to my home sort of like how oil companies use he system of pipelines.

Not sure about actual distance limitations, but step-up transformer tech has made it (long distance transmission) pretty effective...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_power_t...

Long-distance transmission of electricity (thousands of kilometers) is cheap and efficient, with costs of US$0.005–0.02/kWh (compared to annual averaged large producer costs of US$0.01–0.025/kWh, retail rates upwards of US$0.10/kWh, and multiples of retail for instantaneous suppliers at unpredicted highest demand moments).[7] Thus distant suppliers can be cheaper than local sources (e.g., New York City buys a lot[quantify] of electricity from Canada). Multiple local sources (even if more expensive and infrequently used) can make the transmission grid more fault tolerant to weather and other disasters that can disconnect distant suppliers.

A high-power electrical transmission towerLong-distance transmission allows remote renewable energy resources to be used to displace fossil fuel consumption. Hydro and wind sources cannot be moved closer to populous cities, and solar costs are lowest in remote areas where local power needs are minimal. Connection costs alone can determine whether any particular renewable alternative is economically sensible. Costs can be prohibitive for transmission lines, but various proposals for massive infrastructure investment in high capacity, very long distance super grid transmission networks could be recovered with modest usage fees.

You can keep posting this crap all you want Carol, but that's all it's ever going to be, pure unadulterated crap.
The Affordable Care Act was passed by Congress stupid, not just decreed by the President. Plus it's been upheld by the Supreme Court in a decision written by no less than Chief Justice John Roberts.
The sequestration was written and passed by the Republicans in the House dimwit! It was all their idea.
The IRS thing was a phony scandal. Not one of the so called conservative groups were denied 501(c)(4) status nor were they in any way prevented from acting as though they had such status while their cases were being reviewed. Progressive groups had to jump through the same hoops.
Those divides you're talking about were and still are being created by the right liar.
Obama has been consulting with the international community and has put his case before Congress. How is that going it alone or my way or the highway?
You're an idiot Carol.
For someone who is so proficient in criticizing others for being out of the loop, you've become rather comical.

The Democrats passed the Affordable Care Act without one Republican on board. You know...Republicans...the other elected representatives of the people? The Democrats passed it even though the majority of Americans were also against it.

It was upheld in the Supreme Court as a tax. Legislation that involves taxes can be repealed.

Jay Carney told the press that the sequestration came from the White House and it was signed by this president.

The IRS thing was anything but a phony. It's only because liberals and liberal organizations weren't considered the enemy by the president in power and they weren't drilled like the KGB just to get legal exemptions.

Dividing Americans was an intentional ploy by the present-day Democratic Party right before the last two elections. Class, gender, and racial warfare had never been an issue before or since.

But thanks for proving your blind loyalty once again.

OMG OMG OMG. Chickens are coming home to roost for Barack Obama, both at home and overseas.
When he first entered the White house, to worldwide acclaim, and backed by huge majorities in both the Senate and the House of Representatives, he could do whatever he wanted -- and could do no wrong, in the eyes of the mainstream media.
People like dumb Dave believed whatever he said, whether about how he would cut the federal deficit in half during his first term or how people could keep their current insurance and their current doctor under ObamaCare, which would also insure millions more people and yet somehow lower the costs at the same time.
If he could have done these things, it is hard to know what he could have done for an encore. Walking on water would have been an anticlimax.
Of course he did none of these things. The Obama administration added more to the national debt in his first term than President Bush had in both his terms put together.
As for ObamaCare, which has not yet fully taken effect, health care costs have already gone up, and many people's hours of work have already gone down, as employers seek to escape the huge costs of ObamaCare by hiring part-time workers, who are exempt.
OMG OMG Barry is a collosal failure and Dave is still dumb.
Obama is a such a failure that the word "Obama" is now synonymous with "colossal failure"
As in :
The Titanic Obamaed the ice berg
The Hindenberg Obamaed and fell to the ground.
The Kansas City Chiefs Obamaed their season so they could get the 1st pick in the draft.
Dumb Dave Obamaed his life.
Yet another dumbass right whiner who thinks there was never a financial advantage to hiring part time until Obamacare was passed.

For those new to the board here, these statements have been discussed extensively here. Please feel free to include any comment you feel has not been made previously. It would help emensely if you can identify anyone at all that ever met Obama at Columbia, dumbass.

Obama is a candidate for the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on human society in the history of civilization.
Obama's biological father is Frank Marshal Davis.
Obama is a college dropout from Occidental College.
Obama never attended classes at Columbia.
Someone who worked and made all the sacrifices to be admitted to Harvard was denied so a college dropout with connections at the highest level of the Communist Party USA could get another fraudulent entry in their fraudulent resume.
Obama is a pathological liar.
Obama was indoctrinated in hatred of the United States his entire life. Any enemy of the United States is a friend to Obama.
Obama is part of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Obama is helping Al Qaeda with their invasion of Syria and the war they started there to take over the country and get the chemical weapons there, and put the Muslim Brotherhood in as the ruling caliphate after they were tossed out of the government in Egypt.
Obama has no respect for the Constitution. It is likely Obama has never even read the Constitution in his entire life.
Find the racial slur.

At 43% approval, Obama is only 4 digits away from being in the dismal zone.
However, the liberals will probably see him as a hero even if the rest of the world sees him as weak for letting Putin save his butt.
His numbers might spike if that happens here in the Land of Oz.
Russia is also happy about 43%.

Medicaid spending grew 2.5% to $407.7 billion in 2011, or 15 percent of total NHE."

Agree!! Only so much you can do. As long as there has been NASCAR and rules people have tried to find ways around them. I think they went a long way towards, not solving the problem, but letting the teams know they are watching and it won't be tolerated. The only other solution is to get rid of the multi-team deal and only have single teams. Not getting caught cheating is a part of NASCAR. Always has. Always will.

What Putin did was save us from ourselves. He didn't have to do that. He could have just sat back and watched as Congress denied Obama and Obama started an unconstitutional war with Syria anyway, and then the country would rip itself apart.
Now, just why would Putin save us like that? Why wouldn't Putin just watch us self-destruct?
Putin is probably the best friend we have. He most likely just saved the country... for a while, until Obama does something else incredibly stupid.
Putin & Russia were embarrassed that their ally used chemical weapons & very pissed off at Assad for it.

Kerry gave them an out & Putin took it.

It really happened quite fast. You know, like it had been orchestrated in advance just like Homer said.

Putin does not want a war.

I hope it works.

Too bad Bush was too inept to avoid the cake walk of the Iraq war..
