SHE WALKED UP AND TIED HER OLD MULE TO THE HITCH RAIL.

AS SHE STOOD THERE, BRUSHING SOME OF THE DUST FROM HER FACE AND CLOTHES, A YOUNG GUNSLINGER STEPPED OUT OF THE SALOON WITH A GUN IN ONE HAND AND A BOTTLE OF WHISKEY IN THE OTHER.

The young gunslinger looked at the old woman and laughed saying, "Hey Old WOMAN, have you ever danced?"

THE OLD WOMAN LOOKED UP AT THE GUNSLINGER AND SAID, "NO, I NEVER DID DANCE... NEVER REALLY WANTED TO."

A CROWD HAD GATHERED AS THE GUNSLINGER GRINNED AND SAID, "WELL, YOU OLD WOMAN, YOU'RE GONNA DANCE NOW," AND STARTED SHOOTING AT THE OLD WOMAN'S FEET.

THE OLD WOMAN PROSPECTOR - NOT WANTING TO GET HER TOE BLOWN OFF - STARTED HOPPING AROUND. EVERYBODY WAS LAUGHING.

WHEN HIS LAST BULLET HAD BEEN FIRED, THE YOUNG GUNSLINGER, STILL LAUGHING, HOLSTERED HIS GUN AND TURNED AROUND TO GO BACK INTO THE SALOON.

THE OLD WOMAN TURNED TO HER PACK MULE, PULLED OUT A DOUBLE-BARRELED SHOTGUN, AND COCKED BOTH HAMMERS.

THE LOUD CLICKS CARRIED CLEARLY THROUGH THE DESERT AIR. THE CROWD STOPPED LAUGHING IMMEDIATELY.

THE YOUNG GUNSLINGER HEARD THE SOUNDS, TOO, AND HE TURNED AROUND VERY SLOWLY. THE SILENCE WAS ALMOST DEAFENING.

THE CROWD WATCHED AS THE YOUNG GUNMAN STARED AT THE OLD WOMAN AND THE LARGE GAPING HOLES OF THOSE TWIN BARRELS.

THE BARRELS OF THE SHOTGUN NEVER WAVERED IN THE OLD WOMAN'S HANDS, AS SHE QUIETLY SAID, "SON, HAVE YOU EVER KISSED A MULE'S ASS"

THE GUNSLINGER SWALLOWED HARD AND SAID, "NO MAM... BUT... I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO."

THERE ARE A FEW LESSONS FOR US ALL HERE:

1 - NEVER BE ARROGANT.
2 - Don't waste ammunition.
3 - Whiskey makes you think you're smarter than you are.
4 - Always, always make sure you know who has the power.
5 - Don't mess with old women; they didn't get old by being stupid.

I JUST LOVE A STORY WITH A HAPPY ENDING, DON'T YOU?

I, obviously, know more than you since I am on Medicare. The medicare premium for the majority of retirees over 65 (those with adjustable income under $170,000) is $104.90 a month which is deducted from their social security check. If someone has an adjustable income above $170,000 up to $214,000, they pay $146.90 etc. Not exactly outrageous. Someone with an adjustable rate of income above $214,000 would not be considered "average". IBM has agreed to provide funds to those retirees so they can purchase supplemental insurance which will provide them with 100% coverage. Your crystal ball attempt to see into the future is pure nonsense.
For the record, here is what IBM is actually doing:
https://www.extendhealth.com/documents/ibm%20...
Medicare premiums are as high as $335.70/month, per person.

Part D premiums are additional.

All costs quoted are per person.

Even at the base rate off $104.90 per person per month, a married couple will pay over $500 including supplemental coverage for a decent plan (not a crummy HMO Advantage plan).

Sorry you are a loser in the game of life.

What makes you think that you know more about Medicare just because you are an old fart soaking up taxpayer-funded medical care?

Anybody can read or knows older folks facing these issues.

What kind of fool announces their decision to attack before they are ready to attack?

Most Presidents would make that announcement after the first attack.

Part-time epidemic
According to NBC 2/3 of all new jobs are part time.
Yes, I've seen you going on about this, time to clarify things for you. The 169K employment figures released last week were not part time positions, part time employment is treated separately:

"The number of persons employed part time for economic reasons
(sometimes referred to as involuntary part-time workers) declined by
334,000 to 7.9 million in August. These individuals were working part
time because their hours had been cut back or because they were unable
to find a full-time job.(See table A-8.)"
http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.ht...

As you can see, involuntary part time employment declined.
