Obama didn't "mishandle" anything. He worked as a member of the United Nations which is exactly what he should be doing. I understand his frustration with the inability of the Security Council to take appropriate action but he certainly followed proper procedures.
One thing is for certain, if we take action against Syria without the approval of the United Nations, Israel can be assured that the United States will no longer be in a position to save their azz through the use of our Security Council veto power. Israel's half century of occupying parts of Palestine in breach of UN resolutions will come to an end. That would be a good thing.
Obama didn't take it to the security council!!

Why is it Israel's fault that Obama played cowboy?

A touch of frustration and the Left go off on anti-Semantic, misogynistic, homophobic, or racist rants against alleged enemies.

PS idiot, Obama has always wanted to return to 1967 lands-you outed your petty self without a good cause.

Now get a beer and mellow out.

LMSO, bullying is what Nutandyahoo did when he was in this country. I don't recall your kind complaining. What Obama and Putin are doing is not called "bullying", it's called politics.
In the Putin's own words, Obama "hasn't been elected by the American people in order to be pleasant to Russia" and "your humble servant hasn't been elected by the people of Russia to be pleasant to someone either".
Why are those who waved their poms poms for Obama now are so stressed out by the reality?

It would politics if bombs weren't involved-then it becomes war with blood shed.

It would be foolish of you to think US interests in both Afghanistan and Iraq wouldn't be at risk for an attack. To do so is to forget that this is war between two religious groups each with own terrorist.

How is that pom pom thing going for you?

CNN vote count: Obama long way from congressional approval on Syria

By Dan Merica and Lisa Desjardins, CNN

updated 9:41 PM EDT, Thu September 5, 2013

In the House, there are nearly four "no" votes for every member voting "yes"

Washington (CNN)-- President Barack Obama still has a long way to go to secure congressional authorization for military action against Syria even after clearing a key hurdle in the Senate.

According to CNN, there are 18 "no" votes in the Senate and 24 "yes." Fifty-eight senators -- almost the same number of votes needed to overcome any filibuster -- remain undecided.

After changing an Obama-sponsored proposal authorizing a military response to alleged chemical weapons use by Syria, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee voted on Wednesday to approve it by a 10-7 margin.

The outcome set up debate next week in the full chamber.

I agree Steve takes it a BIT too far, but the fact remains; there are FAR more negro losers per capita than any other ethnicity (and its not even close). There has never been a less-evolved demographic, nor one with a wider disparity in its success/failure ratio.......

There you go showing your ignorance once again. Must be a Scottsbluff, NE thing.

FYI, there was a U.N. Security Council draft resolution in February, 2012 condemning Syria for it's "bloody violence". Thirteen Security Council members voted in favor of the resolution, including the United States. It failed because Russia and China used their veto power to shoot it down.

"Those that have blocked potentially the last effort to resolve this peacefully ... will have any future blood spill on their hands," U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice told CNN. "The people of Syria have yet again been abandoned by this Council and by the international community."

Israel started this whole mess by forwarding to the United States "intelligence" data regarding Aasad's use of chemical weapons. That is a FACT. It is only "anti-Semantic, misogynistic, homophobic, or racist" if you are calling Massad a bunch of liars. If Obama is a "cowboy", Israel is the saddle upon which he rides.

Vice President Joe Biden hosted a late-afternoon briefing on Syria with a small set of House and Senate members in the White House Situation Room Thursday, according to a White House official.

Deputy National Security Adviser Tony Blinken, who has taken an increasingly high profile during the Syria debate, joined Biden in briefing lawmakers.

Attendees included Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.), Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) and Rep. Joe Kennedy (D-Mass.), according to a photo of the meeting distributed by the White House.

Went to this publication and noticed it was a little wonky. It is not a mag written by journalist as it fails to cite sources beyond a generalized reference-CIA. So, you cannot proof the claims.
Also noted it could not be called a policy center publication as it lacks the depth and citing of sources that such sites contain.
It lacks the depth to qualify as a think tank.
It turns out these are a bunch of opinions written at a low reading comprehension level similar to that of most general articles in newspaper publications.
Looking through reviews of the publications. It appears to depend on what you are looking for if this is a go-to reference. If you want to know what the Establishment thinks of a policy-a good resource. However, it often errs in judgement and evaluation of situations according to the reviews. As usual political leanings color some of these judgements.
