Protecting the innocent is always the right thing to do.
We should have done more in Rwanda and Darfur just as the UN should have.
The problem in Syria is civilians are fighting Assad in the name of human rights but are suspected to be infiltrated by al Qaeda who want Assad dead and his power for their own reasons.
There doesn't seem to be a clear objective in Syria and it's ALWAYS the liberals in this country who do not like America being the peacekeepers - and this president has done little to show the rest of the world he is any different.
You simply cannot deny this is true.
I don't think that protecting the innocent has anything to do with it. If there were oil interests in Rwanda or Darfur, you can be sure that the US would have gotten involved. While we are all talking about chemical weapons and AlQuaeda, and rebels and overthrowing Assad; there's an entire other agenda going on; oil pipelines.
Saudi Arabia and Israel are behind the scenes.

In just 2009 alone, the Navy Times reported:
Air Force, Navy and other coalition warplanes dropped a record number of bombs in Afghanistan during April, Air Forces Central figures show. In the past month, warplanes released 438 bombs, the most ever. April also marked the fourth consecutive month that the number of bombs dropped rose, after a decline starting last July. The munitions were released during 2,110 close-air support sorties. The actual number of airstrikes was higher because the AFCent numbers don’t include attacks by helicopters and special operations gunships. The numbers also don’t include strafing runs or launches of small missiles.

As far as drones:
Strikes under the Bush Administration: 52
Strikes under the Obama Administration: 318

Other commanders in chief have presided over wars with far higher casualty counts. But no president has ever relied so extensively on the secret killing of individuals to advance the nation’s security goals.

Oh Magog! Why End-Times Buffs Are Freaking Out About Syria

Novelist Joel Rosenberg has the ear of Rick Santorum, Rick Perry, and the Heritage Foundation. He thinks conflict in Syria was foretold by the Old Testament.

The idea behind the prophecy is a fairly straightforward one. In Isaiah 17, the prophet explains that, in the run-up to Armageddon, "Damascus is about to be removed from being a city, and will become a fallen ruin." The implication is that it will be leveled by God on behalf of Israel as part of the last great struggle for mankind.

Have you seen the movies “White House Down” or “Olympus Has Fallen”? These movies are about terrorists taking over the White House and kidnapping the President. But Barack Obama proves you don’t need Russia or China or North Korea or radical Muslim terrorists to take down the White House and destroy the Presidency. Obama is doing it all by himself.
At Columbia University (class of ’83), my fellow classmates admitted they hated America, hated “the rich” and despised Judeo-Christian values. We spent our days discussing and debating their plan to destroy capitalism and radically change America from within by electing one of their own to the Presidency. Once elected, the plan was to overwhelm the system with spending, taxes, entitlements and debt. Capitalism would topple, business owners would lose everything and Americans would be brought to their knees, begging for government to save them. In that way America would become a socialist Nation.
Obama was one of my Columbia classmates, and it is clear now this is the very plan he’s implementing. With economic and moral carnage from coast to coast and now throughout the Mideast, it is clear the White House is down and Olympus has fallen – from within.
Well thank you!

This should put to rest those who believe Obama never attended Columbia.

As for your classmates and opinions about the US, I have no issues with your beliefs so long as you don't confuse them with reality.

Hate to say it because Obama IS America's representative on the world stage, but Putin is going to play him like a Stradivarius violin. And, therefore, the rest of us. In Putin's eyes, America voted for him. Isn't that right liberals and confused moderates?

We will never get anything right in America till the American people realize that our Government ALL PARTIES ARE CROOKED . All controlled by big money and Jews including homosexual killers Israel,. Please TAKE TIME TO READ BELOW :

THESE ARE EXACTLY THE SAME WORDS BILLY GRAHAM TOLD RICHARD NIXON IN 1972 .
Nixon And Billy Graham
Anti-Semitism Caught On Tape

Rev. Billy Graham openly voiced a belief that Jews control the American media, calling it a "stranglehold" during a 1972 conversation with President Richard Nixon, according to a tape of the Oval Office meeting released Thursday by the National Archives.

"This stranglehold has got to be broken or the country's going down the drain," the nation's best-known preacher declared as he agreed with a stream of bigoted Nixon comments about Jews and their perceived influence in American life.

"You believe that?" Nixon says after the "stranglehold" comment.

"Yes, sir," Graham says.

"Oh, boy," replies Nixon. "So do I. I can't ever say that but I believe it."

Obama went to Israel to get a medal ? WHY ? Israel Lobbyist were just in Washington , WHY ? Don there is no question who murdered The Kennedy Brothers and King . Jews today control the NAACP . Go watch the YouTube Video off a honest American Congressman below . PASS THIS ON !

You are truly a simpleton
The truth isn't that complicated - usually pretty simple in fact.

It takes more of a simpleton to believe whatever they're told when reality is staring them right in the face.

For example, who was held accountable for the incompetence in Benghazi or the abuse of power by the IRS?

Obama promised he'd get to the bottom of both. But then he decided it best to remain silent and stonewall the investigations and eventually call them phony scandals.

So his initial "outrage" must have been "feigned outrage".

Who's the real simpleton here, Lily?

What a bunch of buffoons the people in the middle east must think our representatives are. They are telegraphing what they are going to do, where they are going to do it, and when they are going to do it, if by chance they get around to deciding that they are actually going to do it. Those people live by strength. Any sign of hesitation is seen as weakness. They will exploit that weakness. Saying that we won't put 'boots on the ground' no matter what is opening yourself up to attacks that will force you to do just that. But the representatives will have to get together and squawk for a week or two before they get around to doing what needs to be done.
It is my opinion that if this government does any military action it will cause a war that nobody wants. A war that will spread across ,not just the middle east, but Africa and maybe even lower Europe. We are playing a very dangerous game of chicken. One, I think, where there will be no winner.

The real problem here - when it comes to preventing genocide of innocents on a massive scale - is the UN.

What purpose do they serve exactly?

But, you're right, oil is a major interest to us and all civilized nations. Without it, civilization would go back to the horse and buggy days.

Perhaps that's why we should stop sitting on the massive oil and natural resources we have here right under our feet.
