Isn't hindsight always so clear? It was at the end of Iraq/Iran war with both sides blaming the other. The International community was non-committal until 1991 when a UN resolution included getting rid of WMDs.

Yes, Hussein's was allowed to remain in power way too long after killing thousands of Kurds. One brutal attack killed between 3000 to 5000.

Why didn't Clinton do anything about the genocide in Rwanda?
Why didn't the UN do anything about Saddam gassing the Kurds?
Why didn't liberals demand retaliation?

There was an 8 year war between Iran and Iraq in the 80s. When it began, Iran was still holding Americans hostage. Saddam became the enemy of our enemy. We were willing to look the other way so long as he didn't challenge our interests. Just like we did in Egypt. Just like we did in China.

At the time, it wasn't politically correct to "police the world". The Vietnam War had just ended less than two decades earlier.

It's shameful the world watched and did nothing.

It's even more shameful liberals called Bush a war criminal when we finally did do something.

Let's just pretend Assad's reign of terror after using WMDs against his own people somehow comes to an end. And let's just pretend mass graves of thousands of men, women and children are then uncovered in Syria.
Shouldn't the same liberals who support using military force in Syria for humanitarian reasons have supported using military force in Iraq for the same reasons?
It is estimated that it would take 75,000 of our troops to secure the CW that Syria had. Notice the past tense. I have no doubt that if an UN team went in tomorrow, they would find it difficult to locate any.

Back to the 75,000 men necessary to secure. If we are going to bomb Syria without attempting to secure the CW-if still there-isn't that being totally reckless.

Been very engrossed in learning about something rather mind blowing that I happened to stumble across going through and organizing a lot of things that were boxed away in storage the past two days including pouring through my dad's old military records.

Why I've been away so much on here lately.

Still trying to confirm what I think it is with the evidence I have and trying to get my head around it if it is. Pretty amazing revelation.

Just popped in before going to bed. Night.

Gee, didn't see this coming...

"My credibility's not on the line. The international community's credibility is on the line, and America and Congress' credibility is on the line because we give lip service to the notion that these international norms are important," Obama said.

But let's review - not his credibility.

It was noted on Twitter how unhinged the Left is. There is a crack in the unity. The die hard Obots are behind Obama all the way while those who view themselves as true passivise Liberals including MoveOn.org 8 million members oppose the war.

In true ugly Prog/Lib fashion that anti-war group has resorted to ugly racial epithets usually reserve for non-conforming con blacks.

Amid all this you still think playing anti-Bush tunes is the future?

Do you support war with Syria? if yes, do you believe individuals who has used CW to slaughter thousands of their citizens deserve to be punished?

If not, how do you think it should be addressed?

Did you support taking away Afghanistan from the Taliban? If not, why not? Would you approve of allowing Syria to become the new homeland of terrorist groups?

Lots of questions to be answered and yet you float around message boards posting inane comments.

LMAO@U, you retarded pusceefckphag.

Muslims have been killing each other since the dawn of time, and no gay intervention in syria will ever change that. Odumbo will NOT get congressional go-ahead (despite useless old RINO's like john mccan), and then he will be faced with one of two really bad choices:

1)Do it anyway, and risk probable impeachment/removal from office

2)Scrap the whole thing, and look like a retarded fool (his likely choice)

Things are really lookin up for you, huh queenie??:-)

I HATE to give slick willie credit for ANYTHING, but rwanda was just as much a waste of time as Iraq, Syria, Vietnam, Korea, Bosnia, Afghanistan, etc etc. NOTHING has changed for the better in any ONE of those 3rd world shtholes, and we should have stayed out of it and decreased taxes commensurately.

Rule#1 of crowd control/security: If two retards are set on fighting, contain the hostilities where they will do the least damage (i.e. "outside"), and stay clear so you dont get popped yourself.......

I was reading Ayer's Weatherman paper on American involvement in wars-

"The goal is the destruction of US imperialism and the achievement of a classless world: world communism. Winning state power in the US will occur as a result of the military forces of the US
overextending themselves around the world and being defeated piecemeal; struggle within the US will be a vital part of this process, but when the revolution triumphs in the US it will have been made by the people of the whole world."

Yes, war is a central concept of the radical left as a means to the ultimate goal.

LOL. "Weak people blame others."

Obama could easily change his middle name from "Hussein" to "Who_Do_I_Blame", and after reading a few of your posts, you seem to blame everything on "Bushie."

BTW, the ending of the war in Iraq was not Obama's doing, but had been in place since before Bush left office.
