Make up your mind, duhmmy.

There's a lot of nations that have chemical weapons, of varying types.
The question NOW should just be who is using them (or not) and for what.

Syria has not yet attacked us, so why inflict MORE pain and suffering on the innocents among them? Let alone, the REST of the innocents in OTHER countries, should it lean more towards terrorist affiliations under the influences of "anarchy" unleashed.

Even if Iran is rather in close proximity to Daghistan (the travelogue of Chechnyn bombers) and Syria, Syria should still remain a U.N. matter and then if need be, an InterPOL matter. Or do you think al qeada and/or Hezbollah would do a better job handling Syria?

At least until the U.N. at least finishes IT'S investigation into things, as it's not even decided to question Iran further yet, about it's pet projects of mushroom cloud type facilities.

Getting into some of that geography stuff now a little more Duh A Vey? Seems awhile back..you seemed rather inconclusive on some areas of that region in particular.

Funny. For months, it's been Republiclowns calling Obama weak for not helping the rebels in Syria.
Including many imfluential conservative Republiclown Senators.
Wasn't it Bush who claimed to be helping deliver Democracy to the Middle East? And said Saddam had to go because he had used chemical gas 20 years earlier?
And we should now turn our back on WMD use in Syria?
Is that what's troubling you, nitwit??
YES-we SHOULD MIND OUR OWN BUSINESS and let the U.N. do what they're supposed to do-as is PROPER PROCEDURES.

Syria has NOT attacked us. We have NO business lobbing missiles ANYWHERE at this point.

NONE what so ever...just like we had NO business stepping foot in LIBYA.

Doubling The Minimum Wage May Seem Insane, But It Happened In 1949

Even as he’d confidently promised before television cameras in January that he would deliver an astounding increase in the minimum wage, the president knew it would be a difficult fight. Unprecedented federal debt and thorny unemployment weighed heavily on Washington, both cautioning against forcing businesses to give low-paid workers a raise.

The president's own top economic expert had told him the government shouldn’t further distort the dynamics of the free market. Big business was adamantly against the plan.

And Congress? That lot of obstructionist conservatives and their “do nothing” attitude would relish any chance to get in the administration’s way, especially if its members could call him a “socialist” and once again bring up his controversial universal health care plan.

So it was in 1949, when President Harry Truman (D) declared the federal minimum wage ought to be nearly doubled, from 40 cents an hour to 75 cents. Using a measure of what minimum-wage earners could purchase with that amount compared with the rest of society, the 1949 increase is roughly the equivalent of a wage today jumping to $10.70 from $5.70.

As labor activists across the U.S. begin a round of Labor Day strikes this week in a bid to increase the wages of low-paid workers, raising the minimum wage from $7.25 to $15 has become a rallying cry of the boldest proposals. With most political forecasters declaring President Barack Obama’s more modest call for a minimum wage raise to $9 dead in the water, the idea of more than doubling the minimum wage is generally dismissed as fanciful.

But it's not unprecedented.

This is the story of how, in spite of sustained political opposition, a presidential administration was once able to give the most downtrodden American workers an 87.5 percent pay increase.

Cameron backs down on urgent Syria strikes

David Cameron backed down and agreed to delay a military attack on Syria following a growing revolt over the UK's rushed response to the crisis on Wednesday night.

By Peter Dominiczak, Tim Ross and Robert Winnett

10:00PM BST 28 Aug 2013

The Prime Minister has now said he will wait for a report by United Nations weapons inspectors before seeking the approval of MPs for “direct British involvement” in the Syrian intervention.

Downing Street said the decision to wait for the UN was based on the “deep concerns” the country still harbours over the Iraq War.

MPs had been recalled to vote on a motion on Thursday expected to sanction military action. Instead, after a Labour intervention, they will debate a broader motion calling for a “humanitarian response”.

A second vote would be required before any British military involvement. This could now take place next week.

In a statement on Wednesday night Downing Street said that it only wanted to proceed on a “consensual basis” and was now wary about becoming embroiled in another divisive conflict in the Middle East in the wake of Iraq.

Gary Younge points out that King's “I Have A Dream” speech wasn't offered as the penultimate moment of his career till after his death. Those who offer it were the same corporate media honchos who first elevated, then slimed and slandered King the last year of his life.“The Dreamer” too is their construct, as far from the man who lived and died as an ordinary person from a brain-eating zombie.I recall that when I first noticed Dr. King, the establishment media and many whites as well, made the man out to be a kind of living saint, an embodiment of moral conscience put to political action. Then, in the spring of 1967, Dr. King unequivocally denounced the war in Vietnam as unjust and immoral. He called the US government the greatest purveyor of violence on earth, and predicted that if nothing changed for the better we'd be marching to stop future murderous and unjust imperial wars in other places without end.

In the four decades since, I never saw anything like the instant turnaround the establishment media did on Dr. King. Overnight the chorus of praise and approbation turned into a perfect media storm of abuse and calumny. He was denounced as arrogant and ungrateful, traitorous and deceitful, a hypocritical dupe of the communists, and on and on. By the time of his death a year later Dr. King was one of the most reviled and hated figures in the nation.

When King was murdered, civil uprisings occurred in scores of US cities, and the establishment myth makers made a second 180 degree turn. While the smoke rose from burning cities you heard the first references to Dr. King not as a champion of economic justice, not as a moral voice against militarism and empire, not the fighter for a guaranteed minimum income for all, but as “The Dreamer.” Media figures began instructing us on “Dr. King's Dream”– something nobody ever heard of before – as the reference point for our past struggle, our present predicament and our future agenda. Thus, as Gary Younge points out in his recent book, a new Dr. King was constructed
