Across the state, 66 percent of home sales were cash, compared with the national rate of 40 percent. One expert called Florida's rate "astounding."
With one of the nation's highest foreclosure rates, South Florida has a large supply of bank-owned properties. Lenders aren't interested in waiting for traditional buyers to qualify for mortgages, preferring instead to sell to investors paying cash.
And that has virtually shut out entry-level homebuyers.
"That's where all the action is," said Lex Levinrad, founder of the Distressed Real Estate Institute, a Deerfield Beach-based club for investors. "The banks have an urgent need to get these bad loans off their books as soon as possible. They're willing to sell for 30 percent less to a cash buyer rather than waiting for a buyer with a mortgage

We Dems can be so proud that we are killing Martin Luther Kings dream by keeping blacks down while saying that we are trying to help.

All one has to do is look at the facts to see that the blacks are in worse shape overall then the early 1960's. They have more options to better themselves but for a lot of them they have no reason to do it because of our lib policies.

When MLK said,“I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they are not judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character..” Do you think he could have dreamed of today where the Liberally-inclined media uses the term “white-Hispanic” in their racially sensationalized news coverage.

Do you think Martin Luther King would have dreamed that we live in a nation where dozens of black children are shot every week in the war zone of Chicago without so much as a whisper on the nightly national news, or from the first “white-black” President in American history.

Most of America has a dream. It is the same Dream that King articulated so emotionally 50 years ago on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

And our progressive brand of Obama’s Democrat Party has spent the last fifty years suffocating this dream under empty promises and government programs.

Just like the plantation owners of the pre-war south, we in the Modern Democrat Party get the minority vote by promising black America a roof, food, and protection from the risks of freedom.

And the brave few who don’t listen to the race baiters like Reverend Wright or Poverty Pimps like Al Sharpton and who dare to champion the forgotten cause of individualism are ridiculed among the Left; called traitors to their race; and are said to not know their proper place – as voters in the Democrat plantation.

So thank God that beyond yesterday’s hypocrisy, the message that was absent from yesterday’s commercialized remembrance of King’s speech, was by far his most important message.

Our rights, as King Preached, are not gifts given to us by the government.

Our prosperity should not hinge on a governor’s attitude, or the President’s signature, but on our own initiative; for only without the oppressive hand of government will men and women of any race be able to say those powerful words that closed Martin Luther King’s historic speech:

“Free at Last. Free at Last. Thank God Almighty, I am Free at Last.”

Except we Dems make sure that generation after generation live in dangerous urban plantations.

It's the leftist media myth that keeps on giving...in the voting booth.

Do you mean the war the Arab terrorists started?

Do you mean the war when Al Qaeda went from hiding in caves to taking over countries since Obama Obama began "fighting" it?

Now, the question you hid from all day yesterday:

Do you want Americans to be killed to help Al Qaeda take over another country and get chemical weapons?

Syria Debate Deepens Republican Divide

Neocons and libertarians face off.“There are groups of Republicans that are comfortable with the executive branch unilaterally using our armed forces anywhere in the world. I’m not comfortable with that,” said Radel.

Meanwhile, prominent conservative opinion makers are demonstrating a similar lack of cohesion on the Syria issue.

Sean Hannity spent the opening hour of his radio show Tuesday twisting himself into various rhetorical gymnastics in order to simultaneously criticize Obama for being too weak, and for pursuing a military strike. He tentatively sided with the libertarians, but said there were still “more questions” to ask.

“I hate to say it, but it might just be time for the United States to get the hell out of the way and let two groups of bad people just kill each other, and provide as much humanitarian assistance as possible,” Hannity said of the conflict in Syria.

Glenn Beck has devoted the week to questioning whether the U.S. really has the evidence it claims to have that Assad used chemical weapons, and warned that a military strike on Syria could prompt “World War III”(helpfully mapped out on a giant chalkboard map of the globe.)

And Rush Limbaugh, the most powerful conservative pundit in the country, openly confessed that he hadn’t made up his mind on the issue. After tearing in to the president for failing to act when Syria first crossed “the red line,” and deriding Democrats’ foreign policy “hypocrisy,” he arrived at the question of whether the U.S. should strike Syria.

“I mean, folks, that is a toughie,” he said.

Syria is a trap only an ignorant buffoon would step into. An idiot cans see it.

If Obama takes the bait, Syria gets to sink a US Navy ship with a Russian missile. Putin cheers, Assad cheers, and both sides of the Suni-Shi'ite war going on in Syria cheer. The only people who won't cheer will be us. If the US involvement gives the critical edge Al Qaeda needs, Al Qaeda acquires chemical weapons for their terrorist attacks. If US involvement doesn't cause the Assad government to fall, the Suni-Shi'ite war in Syria continues as it is today, and the only thing that happened is some Americans were killed, which makes all sides happy. It's a no-win deal for us. But, Obama is a stooge for the Muslim Brotherhood, and they don't care about getting American dupes killed in the chance that they might be able to take over Syria. If this doesn't work for them, they'll continue the war and come up with something else to try later. The Muslim Brotherhood, and all Wahhabists are losing ground throughout the Arab world. They critically need a country to control after they got booted out of Egypt's government. You can bet they are putting the most pressure on Obama right now to get Americans killed there to help them get back in power in some country. Syria can easily become exactly like Afghanistan was on 9/11, and chemical weapons will be in play if Al Qaeda wins and takes control of Syria.

Bill Kristol Is Getting the Band Back Together

The people who brought you the Iraq War are now urging that we get bombing Syria. What could possibly go wrong?

Back when George W. Bush was president, William Kristol—editor of the Weekly Standard, former Dan Quayle chief of staff, and general conservative man-about-town—co-founded something called the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq, whose purpose was to beat the war drums until the American government and public saw the wisdom of an invasion. Kristol was eventually mocked not only for his status as a "chickenhawk"—like nearly all the war's most visible boosters, he was eager to send other people to fight and die, but had avoided military service during the Vietnam War—but for his confidently offered yet comically wrong predictions about Iraq, like "This is going to be a two-month war" or his immortal assertion that there was no reason to think there'd be any conflict between Sunnis and Shias since "Iraq's always been very secular." In the end, Kristol and his allies got what they wanted, and that Iraq thing turned out great for everybody involved.

And now, in case you were on the fence about whether the American government should take military action in Syria, Kristol has returned with an open letter urging President Obama to get bombing post-haste, and go big. You can find the letter on the Weekly Standard's website, where it runs under the not-sarcastic headline, "Experts to Obama: Here is what to do in Syria." Among the "experts" are not only Kristol himself, but a whole bunch of folks with a nuanced grasp of the subtleties of Middle East politics and a track record of wise counsel on matters of war. People like Iran-Contra criminal Elliot Abrams, evangelical leader Gary Bauer, former seat-warming senator Norm Coleman, French gadabout Bernard-Henri Levi, foreign-policy genius Karl Rove, and presidential laughingstock Tim Pawlenty, not to mention the hilariously named Arch Puddington, who apparently is an actual person and not a character from a children's book.

Bombing Syria may or may not be a good idea; I'm extremely skeptical, but it isn't as though there's no reasonable case you could make for it. But when these clowns start advocating for it, it becomes very difficult to think it would be anything but a disaster.

More bullshit talk from the " Super Minority " I see! Can't get over the fact that, they worship a group of dumasses, who ignorantly categorized every non white national as " minorities ." Turned around to bite them in the ass like a feral pit bull! Their ignorance turned out to be their demise. Now they're stuck playing the finger pointing game &, blaming everyone but, the true culprits, themselves! Everyday, they come on this thread, trying their best to dilute the truth. Fantasies of MLK being republican, Reagan being a good president, Bush also &, lies about Obama. Too stupid to see that that hasn't worked in 2 straight elections &, likely won't work ever again!

Thanks bush
<dumbass dave ignores the effect countries like china have on the demand for oil>
I realize that you praise Bush for the temporary dive in oil prices. After all, you right whiners love the recession Bush created that caused that price to dive.

It is a fact, that Bush policies were responsible for a portion of those higher prices. His invasion of Iraq, his policy of expanding the National Reserve - all caused significant price increases. His drill baby drill instead of conserve also raised the prices. All in all, Bush policies added $30 -$60 to the price of oil.

The funny part is that that increase funded Iran's nuclear & military expansion.

You people are truly dumber than sh*t.

Too bad you choose to ignore the greatest discovery of mankind.

How sad for you. But it does reveal much about your politics too.
