Martin had the right to kill Zimmerman according to the stand your ground law. Would a jury have found him not guilty?
They didn't use the stand your ground law in that case. It was a simple case of self defense. Do you think they should change the laws to allow young people to simply go out and beat to death anyone that annoys them?

Exactly. We worry about our food sources and the FDA keeping us safe from food poisoning. But we blindly accept sources poisoning the morality of our younger generation and allowing propaganda to go unchecked which is misleading the public at large to serve those in power.

Strong voices have to start speaking out loud and clear and those of us who care have to rally around them.

A few are beginning to speak out about the garbage black boys are ingesting every day and the gratuitous violent garbage Hollyweird is feeding our young people, but they are mostly whispers.

LOL!!

Lets follow a proven formula, and stick with what we know here. Sckng ck (and generally being a limp-wristed anglo fairy) is your esteemed area of expertise. If you stray far from it (or the safety of your urban sewer), you will quickly be swallowed up by the vortex that is "the real world".

I would hate for that to happen, as I greatly enjoy btch-slapping you with minimal effort.

Please don't cheat me out of that leisurely (but enjoyable) activity......

I do believe this president and his administration yearn for civil unrest. It would make it easier for the federal government to implement a "civilian national security force" that is "as powerful and well-funded as the military" which Obama plainly touted as one of his goals. It would be easier to control and isolate whoever they deem a threat.
We're not in Kansas anymore. We're not even in the United States of America anymore. This is clearly a communist tactic.
Liberals cannot defend why any president would call for a "civilian national security force" as "well-funded and powerful as the military" under any circumstance.
This president is succeeding in fundamentally changing this country right under our noses one unnoticed step at a time and with our continued complacency.
From day one, I said we're in dangerous waters. We're now headed into a perfect storm.
Turning against each other would be playing into the hands of those in power who are seeking absolute power.
We have to find a way to encourage tolerance with strong voices and intervention to restore some sanity to the present insanity.
A divided country will fall. The consequences could be much worse.
OMG, meltdown in progress. Take a pill.

Thanks for reminding me again. It's what I've been hoping would prove to be the silver lining.

I'm still very concerned about those liberals who would rather witness our demise and support a communistic-type government than admit the emperor is butt naked revealing his real transparency.

There's hope that their brains will eventually tell them what their eyes can plainly see...or their pocketbooks...whichever.

But it's the civil unrest that seems to be growing which is of much more concern to me now.

That's apples and oranges. No one advocates for murder, besides you rightwingers.

45-year-old Michael David Dunn, in Jacksonville for his son’s wedding, decided to stop at a gas station convenience store afterward so his girlfriend could buy a bottle of wine. Dunn parked next to an SUV with 4 teens inside and complained about their music that elicited a verbal response from the teenagers. Dunn pulled out his gun and fired eight or nine shots into the vehicle striking 17-year-old Jordan Davis several times killing him, and then fled the scene after Dunn told his girlfriend he “fired at these kids.” It was not immediately clear if Dunn had a permit to carry a loaded firearm. After arriving at their Jacksonville hotel, they heard on the news that someone died in the shooting prompting them to flee to their Brevard County home. Witnesses to the shooting took down his license plate number which helped police find Dunn’s house where he was then arrested on Saturday.

When he was arrested, Dunn claimed he was going to turn himself in, but it does not explain fleeing the scene, or the county, or why his girlfriend failed to alert law enforcement about the shooting. After his arrest, Dunn told detectives “he felt threatened and that is the reason he took action.” Police in Jacksonville said the teens were unarmed, and Dunn is being held without bail and was transported to a jail in Jacksonville Monday to face murder and attempted murder charges .

On their wedding night, the young bride
Approached her new husband and asked
For $20.00 for their first lovemaking
Encounter.
In his highly aroused state,
Her husband readily agreed.
This scenario was repeated each time they made
Love, for more than 40 years, with him thinking that it was a
Cute way for her to afford new clothes and other incidentals that
She needed.
Arriving home around noon one day, she was
Surprised to find her husband in a very drunken state.
During the next few minutes, he explained that
His employer was going through a process of corporate
Downsizing, and he had been let go.

It was unlikely that, at the age of 59, he'd be able to find
Another position that paid anywhere near what
He'd been earning, and therefore, they were financially ruined.

Calmly, his wife handed him a bank book which
Showed more than forty years of steady deposits and interest totaling
Nearly $1 million. Then she showed him certificates of deposits issued
By the
bank which was worth over $2 million,
And informed him that they
Were one of the largest depositors in the bank.

She explained that for more than
Three decades she had 'charged' him for sex,
These holdings had multiplied and these were the
Results of her savings and investments.

Faced with evidence of cash and investments
Worth over $3 million, her husband was so astounded he could
Barely speak, but finally he found his voice and blurted out,
'If I'd had any idea what you were doing,
I would have given you all my business!'

That's when she shot him.

You know, sometimes, men just don't know when
To keep their mouths shut

See how easy it is to be a millionaire!!!

I don't think anyone loves the IRS; especially regular people and small business people who always bear the brunt of audits and levying. As my accountant always says; they do it because they can.
They can't get to the big tax evaders like Mitt Romney et al since they employ entire legal departments to make sure they are untouchable.
That being said; in Mass. you have to attach proof of having health insurance with your return; or you have to pay a penalty.
Most people comply; the idea is for everyone to realize that they have to have insurance. I'm not in love with Obamacare; I am and always have been a proponent of single payer healthcare paid through taxation as is done in Canada. It's cleaner, simpler and less complicated. Get rid of insurance companies; healthcare should not be a "for profit" business with ceos who are paid bonuses to withhold procedures so they can remain in good standing with their stockholders.
I've said this hundreds of times.
The USPS is a prime example of a non-profit business and the resulting service.

Without profit, there is no incentive to perform.
No Surprize

Obama preps for cruise missile attack on Syrian government forces

CBS News) WASHINGTON - CBS News has learned that the Pentagon is making the initial preparations for a cruise missile attack on Syrian government forces. We say "initial preparations" because such an attack won't happen until the president gives the green light.

Dunn's case — which goes to trial on Sept. 23 — has other similarities to Zimmerman's and has even been called "Florida's next Trayvon Martin case."

In both cases, an older, non-black man claims self-defense for shooting and killing an unarmed, black 17-year-old who allegedly threatened him. Both men said their actions weren't racially motivated.
