Kentucky Health Workers Pitch Obamacare At State Fair Alongside Corn Dogs, Fried Kool-Aid

A middle-aged man in a red golf shirt shuffles up to a small folding table with gold trim, in a booth adorned with a flotilla of helium balloons, where government workers at the Kentucky State Fair are hawking the virtues of Kynect, the state’s health benefit exchange established by Obamacare.

The man is impressed. "This beats Obamacare I hope," he mutters to one of the workers.

“Do I burst his bubble?” wonders Reina Diaz-Dempsey, overseeing the operation. She doesn't. If he signs up, it's a win-win, whether he knows he's been ensnared by Obamacare or not.

Probably true, but government-funded medical care encourages that type of behavior.
One huge scam is Medicare paying podiatrists to clip toenails.
Its not the fact its government funded. Its the fact that its compensable under the current claim's rules.

That's the purpose of the Affordable Care Act. Push more folks to private insurers as the government is a piss poor insurance co.;

I love folks who keep stating the ACA is socialism. Heck, forcing more folks to private insurers makes it less socialistic than the current system.

Two words: Ice Age.
Ice age Carol? Okay lets go with that. In the Pleistocene era there was a lot of volcanic activity due to shifting tectonics putting vast amounts of dust into the air. These atmospheric changes were also slow and gradual. Let's go with maps of the Arctic that you cited. Compare those maps to current maps of the arctic ice cover. We've seen a change in decades that under normal circumstances would take centuries if not millennia.
You were a teacher Carol? They must have a really low bar for those imparting knowledge to young people in Florida.

Yes, it's despairing, but don't you find it hilarious too?
Can't make this stuff up.
But you are in fact making this up Carol. The AFL-CIO doesn't have a problem with the ACA they were complaining about the delay in implementing the employer mandate.
Why are you such a damned liar?
Once again carol the Tea Party had more to do with Harry Reid getting elected than the AFL-CIO.

Obama Afraid of Rush Limbaugh, Who Has More Influence Than Him in Congress:
Vlad Putin Licking His Chops Over Weak Opponent:
In an exclusive interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Friday, President Barack Obama said that the upcoming fight over the continuation of a resolution which will fund the government does not have to be a fight at all. He said that enough Republicans in Congress agree that seeking to defund the Affordable Care Act is a bad idea, but they are afraid of angering their base or of conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh.
“Congress doesn’t have a whole lot of core responsibilities,” Obama said.“One core responsibility is passing a budget, which they have not done yet. The other core responsibility that they’ve got is to pay the bills that they’ve already accrued.”
Obama said that, if Congress does their jobs on those issues, then they can tackle “big, structural changes” like what he is proposing to the nation’s higher education system.
“How much of the lack of action in Washington do you put on yourself in terms of blame?” Cuomo asked.
“Ultimately the buck stops with me,” Obama replied.“I get frustrated, and I’ve said before and I continue to say I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get Congress — and Republicans in Congress in particular — to think less about politics and party and think more about what’s good for the country.”
He said that the notion that Republicans would shut down the government over the ACA is not good for the nation. He said the GOP sees this as “their last gasp.”
“I’ve made this argument to my Republican friends privately, and, by the way, sometimes they say to me privately,‘I agree with you, but I’m worried about a primary from, you know, somebody in the tea party back in my district’ or,‘I’m worried about what Rush Limbaugh is going to say about me on radio.’”
What a cry baby O'bama is--Bush never cared what anyone said about him: this O'bama is the first president who consistently cries about his er eh well name.

Hey O'bama.

Did Rush tell you to hide in your room during the Benghazi massacre?
Did Rush tell you to play spades with Reggie Love during the Bin Laden Raid?
Did Rush tell you to lie about a video being the cause for Benghazi?
Did Rush let things spiral out of control in the Middle East on his watch?
Did Rush instruct you to bow and kow-tow to assorted world leaders?
Did Rush encourage you and the IRS to target political enemies?
Did Rush force you to invest in Solyndra?
Has Rush told you it was OK to play hundreds of rounds of golf while your duties are neglected?
Did Rush tell you to kill or delay the Keystone pipeline?
Was "Fast and Furious" Rush's idea?
Did Rush allow the NSA to spy on innocent citizens?
Does Rush control your cabinet?

Please tell us O'bama , is Rush the supposed leader of this country, or are you? Personally I think with both hands tied behind his back and half a brain he could do better than O'bama on a sober day.:)

Where's the outrage? Where's your leadership? A challenge to slacktivists
As seems to be a habit for some people, whenever a story of black-on-white violence hits the mass media, a Twitter friend said recently:“Wow, do you think there will be as much outrage for this story as the #TrayvonMartin case?#doubtful?”
Donald Trump doubled down on that, asking “Why isnt mainstream media all over this like Trayvon Martin story Will there be justice for Chris Lane?”
Christopher Lane, as you likely know by now, is the Australian college baseball player who was out jogging near his girlfriend’s home when he was shot and killed by three bored, black teenagers in Duncan, Oklahoma, who apparently took his life for the “fun” of it. It is a story both shocking and disturbing, but the teenagers in question have been arrested and charged, two with first-degree murder, the third with using a vehicle in the discharge of a weapon and accessory to first-degree murder after the fact. Justice has been served.
Comparing this to the Trayvon Martin case requires that either the person making the argument be stupid or that they think you are.
Martin’s killer, George Zimmerman, admitted, from the first, that he had taken the life of an unarmed, Skittles-toting teenager. The powers that be in Sanford, Florida decided that that was not a chargeable offense, that Zimmerman had Stood His Ground, as Florida law enables him to do, and Zimmerman was let go.
It was only after the activism of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and the army of volunteers they inspired that the mass media took notice of the case. Eventually, enough pressure was brought to bear that the State of Florida appointed a special prosecutor to pursue charges against Zimmerman.
The case drew so much attention because the process was so drawn out. There was a lot of steam powering that cause — steam we did not see, for instance, in the murder of Darius Simmons, 13, a Wisconsin boy killed by his neighbor, 76-year-old John Henry Spooner. The reason? Spooner was promptly jailed and saw his day in court. He was also convicted and sentenced to life in prison. Because the justice system worked, the power of the people and of the press did not have to be mobilized to make it work.
The “where’s the outrage?” argument comes in another form: Why don’t black people protest black-on-black violence? What about all those dead kids in Chicago and Detroit? Where’s the march for them?
This is an argument steeped in ignorance. If the people who make it spent even a minute researching, they’d see their premise was faulty. The reason they don’t know that people do care and do march to stop black-on-black violence is because they don’t care about black-on-black violence. They’re trying to use dead black kids in Chicago to stop you from caring about a dead black kid in Florida, when in reality they care about neither.
http://blogs.detroitnews.com/politics/2013/08...
Yeah, they should change it from "Stand your ground" to "Kill the witness"
