The Conservative Fantasy History Of Civil Rights

The civil rights movement, once a controversial left-wing fringe, has grown deeply embedded into the fabric of our national story. This is a salutary development, but a problematic one for conservatives, who are the direct political descendants of (and, in the case of some of the older members of the movement, the exact same people as) the strident opponents of the civil rights movement. It has thus become necessary for conservatives to craft an alternative story, one that absolves their own ideology of any guilt. The right has dutifully set itself to its task, circulating its convoluted version of history, honing it to the point where it can be repeated by any defensive College Republican in his dorm room. Kevin Williamson’s cover story in National Review is the latest version of what is rapidly congealing into conservatism’s revisionist dogma.

Another indication that progress is being made was found in the recent presidential election in the United States. The American people revealed great maturity by overwhelmingly rejecting a presidential candidate who had become identified with extremism, racism, and retrogression. The voters of our nation rendered a telling blow to the radical right. They defeated those elements in our society which seek to pit white against Negro and lead the nation down a dangerous Fascist path.

LOL-O'bama supporters believe everything they are told. China and Russia are the leaders now. O'bama is burnt toast-he has a track record of screwing everything up. When France, who has no money and no sense is calling for a war in Syria, there is a problem.

Mitt Romney and his fellow Mormons better have skills at hiding their food storage bunkers.

http://www.examiner.com/article/obama-executi...

Obama thinks he has the right to take what's ours and give it to whomever he chooses. Like giving away our tax dollars to terrorists and Mexican billionaires isn't oppressive enough? I guess when he runs out of our money he won't be satisfied until he takes the food out of kids' mouths too. He never gets tired of giving away what doesn't belong to him.

IOWs, we didn't work to build that stockpile of food, the president did.
His lies are too expensive for this country to continue to swallow.

I hope he chokes on his next tax payer funded lobster tail.

African Burial Ground It was Dutch law and not English law which controlled New York (“New Amsterdam”) until 1664. Among other things, enslaved Africans could sue whites, own property and marry. Blacks purchased property for an “African Burial Ground”. English law changed the equation. Enslaved Africans would enjoy no rights after the English conquest in 1664.

By 1898, there was scant evidence that the Dutch had ever controlled “New Netherland” but Cong. Clarke had been taught that the Dutch were still enslaving Blacks in 1898. This means that she had never heard of the gradual emancipation statute of 1799 in New York and the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which was ratified in 1865.

If Cong. Clarke knew her history and was aware of Dutch law, she would be demanding that New York compensate Blacks for the African Burial Ground. With current real estate prices, this would amount to at least a trillion dollars. Jews have been compensated for similar claims against Nazi Germany. Since Black selected officials universally lack a knowledge of history, culture and law, Black representation is out of the question. Moreover, ignorance of the law is no excuse. This also applies to Black selected officials.

When African bones were excavated in lower Manhattan approximately two decades ago –give or take—Sonny Carson publicized it. City Council Speaker Quinn would later rule against Carson being memorialized in New York City by renaming four blocks of Gates Avenue in Brooklyn in his name.

When Mayor David N. Dinkins claimed that he was going to fight for a memorial for our revered ancestors, after the excavation of the bones, I knew that he was lying. Dinkins had to dance to the tune of FIRE. A memorial would consume scarce land in lower Manhattan. Dinkins had to engage in doublespeak and end the struggle for a memorial.

I kept quiet until Dinkins raised the white flag after he was turned down by the General Services Administration to end the excavation. Dinkins had knocked on the wrong door, talked to the wrong people and raised the wrong questions. This is themodus operandi for all Black selected officials and all Black “pacifists”.

I have an "executive assistant" named Sandra. She is... a redhead. She comes in my office 5 or 6 times a day to scrutinize my faxes. I read my faxes but have learned to leave them in the paper tray. She'll bend over myopically and read all my faxes, many of which I've put back in the tray. I love Sandra. I'm completely hopeless, I'm sorry. Sometimes I think she's just pretending to be nearsighted... but I don't know... I worry about the whole legal thing and I know she's married.... and I'm screwed... I see her looking at my crotch... but I don't KNOW...
