You mean the court jesters that mocked groups of people.
So, you are saying it would be OK to use government funding to produce a racist show juts to entertain a bunch of right wing bigots?
The traditional role of the court jester was to speak the truth to the King (about himself) when all others were afraid.

Exactly what was "racist" about the clown's performance?

"As California prepares to launch its health care exchange, consumer groups are worried the uninsured could fall victim to fraud, identity theft or other crimes at the hands of some of the very people who are supposed to help them enroll. The exchange, known as Covered California, recently adopted rules for a network of more than 21,000 enrollment counselors who will provide consumers with in-person assistance as part of the federal Affordable Care Act. In some cases, they will have access to personal and financial information, from ID cards to medical histories. But the state insurance commissioner and anti-fraud groups say the exchange is falling short in ensuring that the people hired as counselors are adequately screened and monitored.Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones also said the exchange does not have a plan for investigating any complaints that might arise once the counselors start work. That means consumers who might fall prey to bogus health care products, identity theft and other abuses will have a hard time seeking justice if unscrupulous counselors get hold of their Social Security number, bank accounts, health records or other private information, he said.“We can have a real disaster on our hands,” Jones, a Democrat, said in an interview."

<quoted text>If I was in the 20-40 year old range and working steady at $50,000 or more a year then I'd find purchasing a basic ,,minimum healthcare plan in the new health insurance exchange at around $250 dollars to be a bargain! I get a good insurance plan starting out on my work life career and save $200 bucks that I don't have to pay the government in 'penalties'. As a young , working , guy with an active social life ,I can use that extra 200 bucks!
You have some scewed up logic. You're spending $250 that you wouldn't be spending otherwise to savee $200.

You're an old out of touch fk Galt, just shootin from the hip at anything that moves.
Community Colleges offer many courses tailored to local or regional job markets that Universities don't.
The University of Oklahoma is a mid-range school, typical of large state universities. Difficulty depends upon the program, just as in any school. Engineering and science programs are difficult, most liberal arts programs a joke.

Community colleges are trade schools, not academic universities.

What you are witnessing is the fundamental transformation of America into a socialist state. There can be no doubt. However this is not reversible. As technology replaces lower paying jobs (manual labor will be all but gone) the need for a well educated population will necessitate great change in the way things are done today. A smarter more rational mind is a mind that will reject the herd mentality. All the problems of today will be gone in ten years. Humans have a distinct inability to project out the causes and effects on their lives that technology will have.
I was reading an article about how smart phones are damaging to human vision and thought to myself how evolution is too slow to prepare us for technology.

Jews News "It ain't news if it ain't Jews News" sounds pretty dubious and was the basis for the article you linked.
Your were implying it was made up because your search yielded zero results. Now you're trying to move the goal line.

Of course they are. Many students get an AA for the basics and transfer credits to a four-year university to study courses for their majors. Myself included.

They're a lot less expensive and more easily assessable just for the first two years.

Of course, most all programs to learn a skill or trade are in community colleges.

Or the plethora of SallyMae schools which Galt seems to confuse with CC's.

In our area the CC's have become known a State Colleges for they offer certain 4 year degrees such as nursing. The four year course list will grow to include other fields___face it there isn't enough room in the universities to satisfy the needs of the job market.

In our area these local colleges offer various scholarships including for athletics. Galt's mindset is locked into small town 1950's___doesn't make him a bad guy___just a fkn dumbazz.

How many years is Oklahoma still on probation for violating recruiting rules? Oklahoma was better off when they were a socialist state. "In the first two decades of the twentieth century the Socialist Party of Oklahoma consistently ranked as one of the top three state socialist organizations in America. At the party's height in the elections of 1914, the Socialist Party candidate for governor, Fred W. Holt, received over 20 percent of the vote statewide. In Marshall and Roger Mills counties, where the Socialist Party was strongest, Holt captured 41 and 35 percent of the vote, respectively. More than 175 socialists were elected to local and county offices that year, including six to the state legislature. As these statistics make clear, to a greater extent than anywhere else in the nation, the Socialist Party in Oklahoma played an active, potent role in state and local politics. "

Even the Cowboy Gene Autry sang with pride about those good old socialist Oklahoma days. http://youtu.be/6pHwtJQ1FyI
