Right-wing push poll accidentally finds Obamacare popular

Heritage's new poll oversamples Republicans and asks misleading questions -- but finds most want to keep Obamacare

“Americans — including 57 percent of independents in ten critical congressional districts — favor defunding Obamacare,” said Michael Needham, the CEO of Heritage Action.“House Republicans should be much more concerned with the fallout of failing to defund Obamacare than with the imaginary fallout of doing so.”

What Needham fails to mention, however, is that even this push poll that dramatically oversamples Republicans (more on that in a minute) finds respondents are more likely to say that the Affordable Care Act should be kept than scrapped — and that a plurality would blame Republicans if the government were to shut down.

Only 44.5 percent “oppose the health care law and think it should be repealed,” while 52 percent either support the law as is or have some concerns, but say they think implementation should move forward. And asked whom they would blame if “there was an impasse between president Obama and Congress on whether to continue to fund the health care law, and that impasse resulted in a partial government shutdown,” the top response (28 percent) was Republicans in Congress. The next option, Obama, got 21 percent of respondents.

As for Heritage’s sample, which NBC calls voters from “10 relatively competitive congressional districts,” and Heritage says represents “the American people” as a whole — not so much.

Just how stupid does Heritage think Republican politicians are?
Yes, that’s right. Heritage is asking Republicans in Congress to base their choices about the next fiscal showdown on a partisan poll of GOP House districts. So we have a loaded sample asked loaded questions — and Republican politicians are supposed to stake their careers on it? Really, any politician who would take this sort of stuff seriously deserves whatever he or she gets.

Do you know how much tax fine or prison term YOU will get if you do not comply with the government ordered Obamacare?
What are your numbers?
Every one has two now:
Mine is:
$1,050/1 year
Meaning, you pay $1,050 new taxes (Obamacare) to cover illegals, ghetto Liberals and Muslims for free or else you get one year in jail.
What are your number?
So you know it?
Business already know their numbers that is why they are turning all full time jobs into part-time jobs.
So Libtards in here: What are your numbers?
EVERYONE should be responsible enough to carry health insurance. Unfortunately too citizens are of the carefree, devil-may-care mentality which requires intervention. By gambling on your good health, you put all of us at risk of covering your emergency care at at later date. IMO, charging you $1,050 a year for your stupidity is justified.

The "number" for those of us who are responsible adults is the cost we pay for our insurance and with it, our peace of mind. What I would really like to see is people like you denied access at the emergency room door.

Not true at all. I don't care how many e-mails you have received from you Tea Party buddies.
First of all, all Tea Party members should be Stopped & Frisked as if they were hoodie wearing thugs and then put into camps like the Democrats did to Japanese Americans during WWII.

And then we need to make government bigger than Orwell predicted it would be. A good start here in New York City has been Mayor Bloomberg’s practice of employing baseless searches as a means to fight crime even though it has probably prevented the deaths of thousands of minorities who live in awful neighborhoods.

I mean, it kind of mirrors how the Federal government has decided to regulate the economy. Rather than focusing on the criminals, our great, large, over-reaching government has decided to conduct a shotgun blast approach to any – and every – problem they deem exists.

Like, rather than looking at the structural regulations that sent the housing sector into free-fall, the government implemented Dodd-Frank. Now phone banks are being set up in New York, and other major cities, to troll the area for homeowners who feel wronged by their bank.(Raise your hand if you don’t... Yeah, I didn’t think there’d be many hands.)

The capricious nature of our government’s enforcement policies don’t help the situation. The DOJ has decided that the mass shooting (by a self-avowed Jihadist) at Fort Hood was merely workplace violence; but THOSE PESKY TEA PARTY GROUPS should be put on a watch list for “homegrown terrorism”.

The political uncertainty, as much as poor fiscal policy, is largely to blame for the US economy’s inability to fully recover.

OBAMACARE ALONE HAS PRODUCED MORE UNCERTAINTY IN THE ECONOMY, THAN DICK CHENEY WITH A SHOTGUN.(Picture Elmer Fudd chasing that Wascally Wabbit).

President Barack Obama unilaterally declared a one year delay in the “employer mandate” for Obamacare, while writing up new eligibility requirements for the exchanges; and HIS UNELECTED BUREAUCRATS are writing more regulations every day. In the same random fashion as a good-old-New-York-City-traffic -stop, punitive regulations are catching businesses off guard.

A foundational principle to any successful economy – and for that matter any successful society – is a strong regard for the law. George Washington said we are a nation of laws, not of men. And far from being sexist, the statement was constructed to highlight the important role of equal treatment... And a dependable expectation of government’s limitations. That expectation has been eroding, and with it so has our productivity.

IN A PROGRESSIVE NATION, LIMITATIONS ON GOVERNMENT ARE ONLY HEEDED AS LONG AS THEY DO NOT INTERFERE WITH THE LIBERAL AGENDA. After all, notice that Bloomberg swore to continue the procedure, not because of his faith in its constitutionality but because of its perceived effectiveness.

Mayor Bloomberg’s most recent spat with constitutional rights should not surprise many people. He’s fought against his citizen’s second amendment rights, their first amendment rights, and now their fourth amendment rights. But, c’mon...

The Feds have been doing that, and more, for ages. He’s just not as good at it as the guys in DC.

This is a good example of a nasty, vile, fascist Democrat. She wishes death upon those that don't think like she does.

She believes government is the answer to everything and that destroying our health care system is better than just fixing what the problem was.

What kind of joker are you anyway?
A lot of people just don't have any money for bloated insurance policies which are overburdened with exemptions and deductibles.
Their income levels are not a reliable indicator of their intelligence level or responsibleness, nor does that make them any less human than you.

Wow! Are you a mindless hypocrite or what?

Obama has unilaterally changed and not carries out law by selectively ignoring parts of the ACA, which violates his Oath of Office and responsibilities as President.

President Obama confided in me that this has RUINED HIS GOLF GAME!!!

Every time he is out hitting the ball, he has flashbacks of Valerie Jarrett dragging him off the course and telling him to sit in the chair for a photo shoot of him giving the OK to shoot Bin.

And personally, he didn't really ever have a problem with Bin, because they both want to destroy Wall Street and capitalism. Bin was just doing it faster and more thoroughly.
