Barack Obama, our next President

He won unopposed three times in the Illinois and U.S. Senates because his opponents dropped out after three mysteriously timed sex and nasty divorce scandals smeared them in the newspapers.
Winning three times unopposed because of three different smear campaigns involving three different opponents? Coincidence?
He only served two years as a junior Senator in the U.S. Congress with absolutely no recognition for sponsoring any major bills or voting one way or the other on any major issue more than "present".
He lived a charmed life with doors being opened and knew the layout of Harvard's ivory tower better than the Oval Office.
He never led anyone or anything. He never governed anyone or any state. He never made any major decision affecting anyone or anything. He made no major impact on state or national laws or state or national government.
Yet here he is. The President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
Can you explain to me how that happened?
He didn't run unopposed in 1996 he had two opponents, David Whitehead of the Harold Washington Party and Rosette Caldwell, Republican.
He also didn't run unopposed in 1998 he defeated Republican Yesse Yehudah.
The only election that involved a sex scandal was in 2002. There was nothing mysterious about Jack Ryan's sex scandal lamebrain, when you take your famous wife to sex clubs to have public sex it will come out. The divorce and all the lurid details are public record. It had nothing to do with Obama.

Are you going with that voting "present" crap again Carol? The fact is that he voted that way 129 times of the roughly 4000 votes he took. That's about 3% of the time nitwit! He also sponsored 800 pieces of legislation while a state senator in Illinois.
In the US Senate he either sponsored or co sponsored 152 pieces of legislation.
So yes Carol we can explain how he got elected, because the majority of the American people rejected Republican policies.

Why are you such a damned liar?

I more than likely would have even leaned more Democrat at one time. But radical progressive secularists, Marxism and communism ideologies polluted the party.
Your party, I believe. Despite what you say.
Yeah, that was written by a clever campaign manager. Truth is that when Reagan decided to enter politics there were no openings in the (D) party so he became an (R). Did you think he was going to run against Pat Brown as a Democrat?

When Reagan defeated Brown California was a much different state in the economic sense__electronic machinery was still a gleam in some nerds eye___sorghum rated higher on the state's economic scale.

And you know that he also entertained unseating Nixon right???

Obama Rated 5th Best President

A Democratic Party publicity release said, "... After a little more than four years, Americans have rated President Obama the 5th best president ever."
The details, according to White House Publicists, read like this...
• Reagan, Lincoln, Washington, Jefferson and 6 others tied for first.
• 15 presidents tied for second.
• 17 other presidents tied for third.
• Jimmy Carter came in 4th.
• Obama came in fifth.

Bush had at one time a Republican house and Senate with a Conservative majority on the Supreme Court and the Republicans made no attempt to overturn.

They do not want abortion made illegal, why risking losing a big issue and an entire block of voters who vote Republican based on the abortion issue alone?

<quoted text>This is the most ridiculous thing you've ever posted. Most of the black population in America lives in the South.
Pay attention, Homer. I know how you like to daydream of Obama.

New York Times

About 17 percent of the African-Americans who moved to the South from other states in the past decade came from New York, far more than from any other state, according to census data. Of the 44,474 who left New York State in 2009, more than half, or 22,508, went to the South.

The percentage of blacks leaving big cities in the East and in the Midwest and heading to the South is now at the highest levels in decades, demographers say.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/22/nyregion/ma...

Now, why is that, you ask? Good question, Homer.

This movement is a reversal of the Great Migration when African-Americans moved to the industrialized North to escape prejudice and find work.

The current exodus from the north, east and Midwest stems largely from tough economic times. New York is increasingly unaffordable and blacks see more opportunities in the South.

The South now offers blacks the potential for achievement.

Southern states have long since been populated by northerners and moved toward opportunities and economic stability for decades.

It's not the same world anymore, Homer.

There might be a quiz later.

How I know? I've read them all & they are all under 1 name, Barack Hussein Obama, even his birth certificate. Well, if he has an original birth certificate, he hasn't shown it to anyone. The document shown on the White House website is very obviously fraudulent. It is so obviously fraudulent, Obama's lawyers will say and do anything to avoid submitting it as evidence in any court case. As long as that document is on the White House website, it's just propaganda. If it is ever submitted as evidence in any court room, a felony will have been committed.

Where are those supposed college transcripts? All we know about Barry Soetoro at Occidental is the people in his classes describe him as a poor student, and court-ordered release of the Fulbright Grant application shows Barry Soetoro claiming to be a muslim and citizen of Indonesia, coincidentally during a time when Sukarno was the military dictator and didn't allow dual citizenship. For Barry Soetoro to not have been lying, there would be on record in Indonesia a document of renouncement of Barry's US citizenship. If he chose to reactivate his supposed US citizenship after he was 18, or his mother chose to do so, there would be documents in the US State Department concerning this. There have been no college transcripts released.
How about this....
Release all application and admission documents from Occidental, Columbia and Harvard, along with the transcripts.

How about that question you run away from now...

What name is on the supposed diploma Obama supposedly received from Columbia?

Got a problem there, don't you?

Oh, yeah. And release all State Department records concerning Barry Soetoro and his mother. Let's see who went where and with what name.

Supposing Obama is this same Barry Soetoro, when did Barry Soetoro become Barack Obama? He entered the United States with the name Barry Soetoro. Why is he using the name Barack Obama now? Where's the paper trail on that?... inquiring minds want to know.

Grow up.
It is common for me to call young roughnecks "boy" when I'm giving them instructions. EVERYONE is addressed as that when they are young and getting their initial experience. If you don't want to be called boy, become a goddam driller.
Why should the world change that just for your sensitive ass? What makes you that important?

Reagan was an actor and he played the part of a president pretty well. All the while raising taxes, expanding the size of government, destroying the middle class, allowed for the corporate take over of America, created massive debt, created massive government spending, all things which are supposedly not conservative yet they revere him.

The richest 2% in American needed a friend in the White House and they found him in Reagan.

Personally I think while certainly not Oscar worthy he should have won a Golden Globe for his performance.

Roe v Wade was initially limited in its scope.

•In the first trimester, the state could treat abortion only as a medical decision leaving medical judgment to the woman's physician.
•In the second trimester (before viability), the state's interest was seen as legitimate when it was protecting the health of the mother.
