lol! Glad to see you're back. You've missed a lot of fun...wOW. Over 2,000 posts since I last checked in. If nothing else, you people are prolific.
Looks like the military machine is working on increasing our electronic surveillance in the sky to eliminate some of the independent third party contractors that can't be trusted to have our best interest in hand. Where there is a will, there is a way.
"The U.S. Navy has extended its (2004) contract with Boeing Co. for P-8A Poseidon airplanes, the company said Thursday.
It ordered 13 more of the planes, which are based on a 737 airframe and are used for anti-submarine, anti-surface and surveillance missions, for $1.98 billion.
The deal is the extension of an existing contract that is ultimately planned to include 100 Poseidons. The Navy has now ordered 37 and Boeing has delivered 10, with the first planes due to be operational by the end of the year."
The P-8A is designed to operate in conjunction with the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance unmanned aerial vehicle.
... and right wing extremist desperation!
