As early as 2006, top advisers to Bush dismissed warnings from people inside and outside the White House that housing prices were inflated and that a foreclosure crisis was looming. And when the economy deteriorated, Bush and his team misdiagnosed the reasons and scope of the downturn. As recently as February, for example, Bush was still calling it a "rough patch."
The result was a series of piecemeal policy prescriptions that lagged behind the escalating crisis.
"There is no question we did not recognize the severity of the problems," said Al Hubbard, Bush's former chief economic adviser, who left the White House in December 2007. "Had we, we would have attacked them."

just take responsibility for voting for Bush. quit trying to blame everything that Bush screwed up on the democrats. it's not the way it happened and you know it.
"sonic"
And you take reponsibility for voting for our current president nobama;
- Record number of American's on food stamps and, the number is growing
- Fewer American's paying federal income taxes
- Lower household incomes
- Stubborn unemployment figures, officially 7.4%, actually over 12%, the unemployment rate is higher than when nobama was elected president
- Housing values still 40% lower than when nobama took office
- New housing starts and sales still in the crapper, sure the problem started on Bush's watch, but the boy wonder nobama has had 4+ years and nothing
- Benghazi, nobama's promise to get the terrorists. To date nothing. nobama saying we have the terrorists on the run, sounds like we are the ones on the run, 17 embassy's and consulates closed in the middle east due to terrorists threats. Why in the hell does not beef up the security and protect American soil?
- Fast and Furious, dead American's, no arrests
- Russia snubbing a request to return a a traitor
Open your eyes, Bush was lousy, nobama is far worse.
Peace

Boy, loggin' all this wonderful material takes time, don't it? Les' have another look...

Nah, it's probably more like time for the morning edition of beat up the assistant loadmaster (wheelchocker?) Two American soldiers are loading a plane with over a million dollars worth of munitions at Barksdale in Louisiana bound for someplace they neither need or want it. The first one says, "Cletus, iff'n we steal a little of this stuff everyday, in a few years we'd be RICH!" The second American sojur thinks about it and says, "Sure, Billy Joe, but who's gonna fly the plane?"

Well, it seems obvious that you haven't considered that the boy with Muscular Dystrophy was being a prick. It's like you when you think about it. You're a white guy, living in a hidey-hole in the desert with George Zimmerman. What's to stop him from holding you down and shooting you in the chest over the solar-powered remote? After all he might be tired of watching re-runs of American Idol by now and of stoopidly shooting at grape Nehi bottles all day? You're an asshole, how do you know the other child wasn't too? Think a little before you chat.

Well, son, I'm talkin' about grammar.
It starts with "g" and it works for me and it rhymes with tool.

How could ANYBODY think a boy with Muscular Dystrophy was an asshole? They're all Saints, I tell you! It's like American sojurs. The nerve of some people to think that the dumbest most useless people on the planet could ever be involved in, say, systematic rape, right? Couldn't happen. Ya know, though, the last time I got robbed and thrown over an embankment I was being an asshole, which, at least in my case, was a temporary condition brought on by whiskey and women. I think it's time for you to visit the dytch your own self, cracker. Louisiana, is that even a state?

Hey! It's my favorite whore! One of your old clients - before you retired - posted this intimate picture of you on Twitter. Good thing you retired at your peak.
http://www.deshow.net/d/file/travel/2009-09/a ...

I hear they're hiring over in west Tecas too! You still got that shovel Santa brought you?

You can kinda smell the shit burnin' in their little brains as they struggle, fruitlessly, with the complexities of language.

Fenris: "Hurry, Maw, shovel more shit in my ears so's I can deal more effectively with this pointy-headed liberal I got me on here. I think he's makin' fun of me - though I cain't be sure - and you KNOW how much a southerner hates bein' made fun of!"

True, true, piss IS sterile isn't it.

You know what's the most fun of fuckin' a tecan up the ass in the moonlight? It's lissenin' to 'em MOOOOO when they come.

Q: What's the difference between Mississippi and Alabama? A: Neither one of them knows how to spell the other.
Come on now, crackers, try and keep up or I'll be reduced to makin' fun of that GIANT pussy on that retired whore in Orlando.

I believe it was RealDave last night who pointed out that Gramm, Leach and Bliley were all Republicans.
It wasn't the act itself that was the problem. It was passed by an overwhelming majority in both parties.
It was the lack of oversight once it was passed. Bill Clinton admitted this years later.
It was also the pressure placed on banks by the Clinton administration to loosen lending standards when minorities and organizations like ACORN began complaining about "redlining" and loans being given to only rich white people.
Republicans weren't altogether innocent but at least they realized by 2004 that danger was ahead. Democrats were still trying to convince themselves and everyone else all was just fine.
Of course, all wasn't just fine.
If more Democrats had realized like Republicans that more oversight was needed back in 2004, the crisis could have been avoided.

Not the party of the deceased "lion of the senate" who got drunk and killed his mistress in his car, driving off a bridge in Chapppaquiddick.
No. It's those evil Republicans.
Sorta makes sense that they're also responsible for the federal budget being in the tank.
Not the S/D president that jets off to Africa with the family for a $60-$100 million vacation.
Riiiiiiiiiight.
Excellent post. Was going to bring this up myself but you beat me to it and said it perfectly.

But may I repeat the crux of your post since it bears repeating?

Mayor of San Diego assaults women in his office (and constituents on the streets, just wanted to add that too).

Former governor of New York bought high-priced hookers with state money.

Former president had his genitalia sucked and ejaculated in the face of a 20-year-old employee.

Vice president and "environmental scientist" assaulted a massage therapist in Portland and behaved like a "crazed sex poodle".

"Lion of the senate" got drunk and killed his mistress in his car driving off a bridge in Chappaquiddick.

And just one more...if I may.

Mayoral candidate takes pictures of his junk and then sends lewd sex texts.

So, yes, there's definitely a war on women. It's just the wrong party who is the culprit.

It's like two teenagers driving one of their parents' expensive car.

They take turns driving a bit recklessly but one of them decides to really put the pedal to the metal before the other one realizes they're in a dangerous situation and tries to get the other one to slow down and put the brakes on knowing there's a cliff up ahead.

You can figure out who is who in this little scenario.

You won't find this information on censored right wing propaganda media:

Under President Obama's leadership, the economy has added private sector jobs for 41 straight months. During this span, 7.3 million private sector jobs have been created.

In the Senate, Democrats are fighting to continue this positive trend and help speed along the economic recovery.

Hassan Rouhani was sworn in as Iran's new president earlier today. The 64 year old cleric is said to be a political moderate.

Rouhani was educated in Iran and Scotland where he attended the University of Glasgow.

In other news from the middle east, the bloodshed continues in Iraq where nearly 5,000 mostly Shiite's have been killed this year.

And now look where we are four dead Americans later and an IRS targeting political enemies and taking over all of health care and a DOJ who is the most corrupt in the entire justice department and Obamacare unraveling before our very eyes leaving a path of destruction in its wake - and a president who says it's all phony.

There is no justice because of people like you.

you people are so blind and keep working hard to remain that way.
Speaking of being political, did you know the new head of the IRS said he didn't want Obamacare either?

And that all those 1%'ers Obama hates so much, i.e. corporations, were given a break with the delay in implementing Obamacare another year but not small businesses who still don't know which end is up when it comes to hiring even if they hire the most people?

And that unions have had to cut back many of their employees already to part-time and who are crying to have it repealed now?

Is that being political enough?
