I'm backpeddling? I don't think so son.....

"And no, you did not have to be federally insured to not comply with CRA"

So tell me, what happens if you're a state chartered bank?

All republicans are opposed to the federal government getting too big for its britches and thinking it can micromanage every aspect of our lives.
Do you want the IRS to be in charge of health care?
Do you want to keep spending to get out of debt?
Do you want the government taking more of your money?
Do you want an oversized federal government who can't effectively oversee veterans' benefits or the waste and fraud in the welfare system?
Even Obama's former senior advisor, David Axelrod, said the federal government is "too vast" for the president to keep track of all the wrongdoing taking place on his watch.
So just how big do you want the federal government to get before you think it's "too vast" to govern itself - much less us?
You seem a RINO, as of late many of your posts seem a bit non republican, you might watch this a bit?

I mean it couldn't possibly be the Republican run White House, Republican run Congress, every department of the Federal Government run by Republicans. Nooooooo.
They're not interested in the truth.

They're interesting in creating a political mess by lying about what happened.

No, just the percentages. You accept the unprecedented numbers and blame it on the calculation. You call it a recovery, it's nothing of the kind. You blaming Bush is a tacit admission of Obama's utter incompetence and your obsequious fawning.
If they calculate it the same way, then how can the numbers be cheating. Still waiting for that explanation.

Recovering from what? When you figure that out, let me know. Otherwise you just blame Obama for everything & excuse the actions of George W Bush & the Republican run Congress from 1995 until 2007.

I see you didn't answer any of the questions.

Not one republican voted for the Affordable Healthcare Act which is going to be anything but affordable - especially for the younger healthier generation who will bear the brunt of the costs.

Not one democrat in the Senate voted to make significant cuts in the budget to do away with abuse, fraud, waste and duplication in the federal government despite numerous bills passed by the House.

Not one democrat wants to talk about much needed reforms to keep Medicare and Social Security solvent and to improve the tax laws.

So which side are you on?

It's only one question this time.

Congressman Frank, of course, blamed the financial crisis on the failure adequately to regulate the banks. In this, he is following the traditional Washington practice of blaming others for his own mistakes. For most of his career, Barney Frank was the principal advocate in Congress for using the government's authority to force lower underwriting standards in the business of housing finance. Although he claims to have tried to reverse course as early as 2003, that was the year he made the oft-quoted remark, "I want to roll the dice a little bit more in this situation toward subsidized housing." Rather than reversing course, he was pressing on when others were beginning to have doubts.

And AEI is a political hack for the right wing?

Your sources seem to have no sense of balance in the least to counter the FRB.

And it's clear you can't get past your politics to see real facts.

Reagan would still be labeled a racist today for his anti-integration policies and war on the American worker, students, the elderly, and the poor policies.

"Evaluation of CRA Performance
The CRA requires that each depository institution's record in helping meet the credit needs of its entire community be evaluated periodically. That record is taken into account in considering an institution's application for deposit facilities.
Neither the CRA nor its implementing regulation gives specific criteria for rating the performance of depository institutions. Rather, the law indicates that the evaluation process should accommodate an institution's individual circumstances. Nor does the law require institutions to make high-risk loans that jeopardize their safety. To the contrary, the law makes it clear that an institution's CRA activities should be undertaken in a safe and sound manner....."
Even democrats know Medicare and Social Security won't remain solvent much longer. Only republicans have come up with plans for reforms so they will still be in place for your generation.

I asked LCN to explain that but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.

But maybe you can.

Poof a whole bunch of Americans have suddenly disappeared under the terrorist arm of Barack Hussein O'bama. The U3 rate is the percentage of the "participating labor force" that is unemployed. That is all well and good, except that the Obama labor department has decided that it will simply manipulate the definition of "labor force" to suit its own needs. And what the O'bama administration has done is simply shrink the definition of the "labor force" by pretending that hundreds of thousands of non-working adults are no longer in existence for all intents and purposes. Look out you could be next. According to O'bama it is easy to get rid of Americans like yourself. POOF!@#*& O'bama says you are a unit, no longer needed.:)
