Just a quick news update.

Five CIA agents connected to Benghazi are being kept even more silent after being instructed to sign yet another nondisclosure agreement with explicit instructions not to talk to Congress or the media before talking to their "bosses" under threat of lie detector tests which are being done already.

This is unconstitutional and unprecedented.

This administration should have no reason to worry about top classified information being disclosed.

Nondisclosure agreements are to prevent CIA agents from writing books and leaking classified information.

We just want to know what happened over there. This administration has not been forthcoming.

This administration just doesn't want the truth and their cover up to be exposed.

Silence on all fronts about four Americans' deaths, why they were killed and not one arrest after 10 months should raise even sonic's and LCN's eyebrows.

President Bush Signs American Dream Downpayment Act of 2003
One of the biggest hurdles to homeownership is getting money for a down payment. This administration has recognized that, and so today I'm honored to be here to sign a law that will help many low-income buyers to overcome that hurdle, and to achieve an important part of the American Dream.
http://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/ne...
Under one of the initiatives launched by Freddie Mac, consumers with poor credit will be able to obtain mortgages with interest rates that automatically decline after a period of consistent payments, he added.
http://archives.cnn.com/2002/ALLPOLITICS/06/1...
so let's see...what do you think would happen if you gave those with low income jobs with bad credit records the money that will help them buy a home?
someone really put some thought into that....
"There is no question we did not recognize the severity of the problems," said Al Hubbard, Bush's former chief economic adviser, who left the White House in December 2007. "Had we, we would have attacked them."
Looking back, Keith Hennessey, Bush's current chief economic adviser, said he and his colleagues had done the best they could "with the information we had at the time." But Hennessey did say he regretted that the administration had not paid more heed to the dangers of easy lending practices.
And both Paulson and his predecessor, John Snow, say the housing push went too far.
"The Bush administration took a lot of pride that home ownership had reached historic highs," Snow said during an interview. "But what we forgot in the process was that it has to be done in the context of people being able to afford their house. We now realize there was a high cost."

Obama administration pushes banks to make home loans to people with weaker credit
The Obama administration is engaged in a broad push to make more home loans available to people with weaker credit, an effort that officials say will help power the economic recovery but that skeptics say could open the door to the risky lending that caused the housing crash in the first place.
President Obama’s economic advisers and outside experts say the nation’s much-celebrated housing rebound is leaving too many people behind, including young people looking to buy their first homes and individuals with credit records weakened by the recession.
In response, administration officials say they are working to get banks to lend to a wider range of borrowers by taking advantage of taxpayer-backed programs — including those offered by the Federal Housing Administration — that insure home loans against default.
It's the FHA crap that is inventing the sub-prime crisis all over again. There is the reason they are now government owned and backed. The O'bama needs to quit his affirmative job.

You're a real trip babe. Dumber than dirt.
The lawyer who wrote this critique and analysis of the CRA seemed to waffle between trying to shine a good light on it and finding fault.

But you obviously didn't read this part:

"Although reasonable people can disagree about how to interpret the evidence, my own judgment is that the worst and most widespread abuses occurred in the institutions with the least federal oversight. The housing crisis we face today, driven by serious problems in subprime lending, suggests that our system of home mortgage regulation, including the CRA, is seriously deficient."

He went on to say:

"We need to mend what my friend, the late Federal Reserve Board Governor Ned Gramlich, aptly termed “the giant hole in the supervisory safety net. Moreover, many market-based systems designed to ensure sound practices in this sector—broker reputational risk, lender oversight of brokers, investor oversight of lenders, rating agency oversight of securitizations, and so on—simply did not work."

Job growth continues to last well into President Barack Obama's second term despite republican efforts to slow the economic recovery by blocking job bills and cutting government investment in rebuilding America's national infrastructure. Even Rand Paul who is consistently anti-government public investment thought it was now better to spend on America the small, paltry scraps of foreign aid we give to other countries(less than 1/10th of 1% of total U.S. GDP) How cheap of Rand Paul!

Hey.. remember a few days ago.. the false "north pole melted" story that was being pushed as proof of "climate change"?

we debunked the whole thing showing you the actual icepack feeds..(linked below)

Guess what... they're now saying the water is gone!! Now its back to ice.

LOL

The story is now MUCH more mundane.. the melt was the size of an olympic swimming pool.... certainly not the "north pole melted" as originally reported.

Can you say "exaggeration" by the main stream media?!! To go from the entire north pole, down to a swimming pool size melt.

epic !

quote:

" Like a politician whose peccadillos lead to "family time," the North Pole lake has had its fill of Internet notoriety. The stunning blue meltwater lake that formed on the Arctic ice disappeared on Monday (July 29), draining through a crack in the underlying ice floe.

Now, instead of 2 feet (0.6 meters) of freshwater slopping against a bright-yellow buoy, a remote webcam shows only ice and clouds.

Though the North Pole lake's 15 minutes of fame focused worldwide attention on global warming's effects on Arctic sea ice, the melting is actually part of an annual summer thaw, according to researchers who run the North Pole Environmental Observatory. "The formation of these ponds and their disappearance is part of a natural cycle," said Axel Schweiger, head of the Applied Physics Laboratory's Polar Science Center at the University of Washington, which helps run the observatory."

Here is our post from the 26th .. debunking the "melted pole" and showing you the actual icepack concentrations at 100% 90% and 80%.

I don't recall you living in a larger city. Matter of fact going back even to the thread we met up on your past seems small town until you found your way to Orlando.
You don't seem to know very much about Florida's education system.
BTW the Florida commissioner of education, Tony Bennett resigned yesterday due to some stupid stunt he pulled on his last gig in Indiana. Why is it that Florida's governors bring commissioners in from states like Indiana and Oklahoma only to have them resign in short order.
I don't think those guys are progressives, do you?
Again, I'm not a doll. Only sexists use that term repeatedly.

But apparently you didn't read my post to LCN, but I'll be glad to summarize it for your benefit.

I taught in local schools in smaller towns in Central Florida. I was one of two teachers in my school asked to be a "supervising teacher" for student interns from a nearby college. I was also accredited as a "peer teacher".

Liberal politics drove me out of the teaching profession. The good teachers like myself were itching to get out. And I've never looked back. Not once.

Liberalism and political correctness in smaller school districts was alive and well even two decades ago.

But I'll ask you like I asked LCN, have you ever taught in a public school? Do you have any firsthand experience to offer any meaningful contribution to the subject?

Even if true, it still doesn't discount the capitalism aspect. Because there was no redistribution of any funds people made.

Besides, CRA had nothing to do with the types of loans banks and mortgage companies created on their own.

So again, another fact that defeats your personal position.

However, if we do follow your logic, then it does support the position that the military is a socialistic organization. The same can be said for those who have a religious fervor in government.

Wrong as usual. This Russian rebuke of the American request to send Snowden back for trial is merely another macho man antic of retard Russian strongman Putin. It is an unnecessary and foolish way to weaken Russian/American cooperative relations.

No Evidence of CRA Role in the Crisis

In looking for causes of the subprime mortgage crisis, some people have contended that the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) pushed banking institutions to make high-risk mortgage loans in lower-income communities and that such lending led to the crisis. In a November 2008 study, Federal Reserve economists Glenn Canner and Neil Bhutta analyzed mortgage-related data to assess such arguments and found no empirical evidence to support the claim that the CRA was a major contributor to the subprime crisis.
