The frustration in the black community is tangible and real.
Maybe if Democrats and the black leaders in a very lucrative Grievance Industry stopped talking so much about themselves and their "concerns" and actually started talking about the problems and doing something about them, all of us would get on board.
But keeping the race issue alive is another means of a politically-motivated end. Always has been.
Can't have too many educated and successful blacks. They might not need the Democrats' dependency anymore and vote Republican.
You obviously haven't been paying attention. The President and black leaders have been talking about the problems and doing something about them by lecturing blacks. Problem is, you people (Republicans) have been too busy complaining to listen.

Obama:“We need fathers to realize that responsibility does not end at conception...They have abandoned their responsibilities, acting like boys instead of men. And the foundations of our families are weaker because of it....Don’t get carried away with that eighth grade graduation. You’re supposed to graduate from eighth grade.... there are some things, as black men, we can only do for ourselves.”

Obama:“We’ve got no time for excuses. Not because the bitter legacy of slavery and segregation have vanished entirely; they have not. Not because racism and discrimination no longer exist; we know those are still out there. It’s just that in today’s hyperconnected, hypercompetitive world, with millions of young people from China and India and Brazil — many of whom started with a whole lot less than all of you did — all of them entering the global workforce alongside you, nobody is going to give you anything that you have not earned.”

Obama:“Be a good role model and set a good example for that young brother coming up.”“If you know somebody who’s not on point, go back and bring that brother along — those who’ve been left behind, who haven’t had the same opportunities we have — they need to hear from you. We’ve got to teach them just like what we have to learn, what it is like to be a man."

Until we have a generation of black parents who value an education and embrace the idea that their children can be successful, blacks will continue to be disadvantaged. It takes time. It will not happen overnight. It will not happen in five years or ten but it will happen if black leaders continue to speak out loudly as Obama and so many others are doing. You just need to listen.

Do some reading on liberating Europe and rebuilding Japan and Germany.

Find a few books about providing food and supplies to people in need around the world.

Then read up on Lenin and Mao. Just to keep things in perspective.

That's just an outright ridiculous statement, Lily. A large bloc of your so-called "evangelicals" are black and Hispanic Democrats.
Of all the just plain ridiculous things you've posted, I do believe this tops them all.
But go ahead and tell us you're absolutely okay with a Muslim country and Sharia Law.
Go ahead and keep believing that you are okay with Christian fundamentalist 'Sharia law' too. Or , get down on your knees and admit that you are glad that the American Founders were not Christian fundamentalists , but pragmatic enough to separate Church and State.

Well, you forgot to mention one tiny little detail. Jesse Jackson was overheard on a hot mic to have said to another black leader sitting beside him that Obama should be neutered for "talking down" to black people.

So kudos to Obama for trying to get out the right message five years ago just as Bill Cosby tried in 2006 in front of the NAACP.

But there's a good reason no one has heard another peep out of either of them since.

Only now are more and more black men with influence expressing genuine outrage because blacks not addressing the real problems and saying what should have been said a long time ago.

Juan Williams is, perhaps, the most vocal since he wrote a book about just such outrage in 2006 after Cosby's speech. Juan also worked for Jesse Jackson and saw firsthand how these "so-called" black leaders are simply hucksters and literally blackmail corporations into giving them money to keep them from labeling them racists and destroying their businesses.

Cosby was ultimately ostracized from the black community.

The Grievance Industry does not want traitors - especially men who are their own color - messing up this good thing they've found.

It's odd to me that devout Muslims would choose to live in liberal societies like US Canada, Europe. If I were a devout Muslim, I'd rather live in a Muslim country.
Devout Muslims choose to live in a non-Muslim country for the same reason non-Muslims choose to immigrate from countries like Russia, China, Japan, etc. or the same reason Jews immigrate to the United States instead of Israel. They want to live in a peaceful country where they have basic freedoms and economic opportunities not available in their homeland. They don't like the radicals anymore than you do.

The only thing pragmatic about "separation of church and state" was the Church of England had dictated everyone's religion.

The idea was to let people worship whoever and whenever they wanted without the state interfering or the government mandating a state religion in the new republic.

The phrase was only mentioned in writings and letters by the Founders. It is nowhere in the Constitution.

Please tell me you already knew that.

Good morning Yeah. Did you see the post to you from our resident psycho claiming that Obama is the one responsible for Hawaii's practice of shipping their homeless to the mainland? Not only does she believe that Obama is in charge of the legislative branch of the federal government, she also believes he is in charge of state legislatures as well!!! Seems to be no limit to her stupidity.
