Well, you forgot to mention one tiny little detail. Jesse Jackson was overheard on a hot mic to have said to another black leader sitting beside him that Obama should be neutered for "talking down" to black people.
So kudos to Obama for trying to get out the right message five years ago just as Bill Cosby tried in 2006 in front of the NAACP.
But there's a good reason no one has heard another peep out of either of them since.
Only now are more and more black men with influence expressing genuine outrage because blacks not addressing the real problems and saying what should have been said a long time ago.
Juan Williams is, perhaps, the most vocal since he wrote a book about just such outrage in 2006 after Cosby's speech. Juan also worked for Jesse Jackson and saw firsthand how these "so-called" black leaders are simply hucksters and literally blackmail corporations into giving them money to keep them from labeling them racists and destroying their businesses.
Cosby was ultimately ostracized from the black community.
The Grievance Industry does not want traitors - especially men who are their own color - messing up this good thing they've found.
lol! If Jackson wants to be an ass, that's up to him.

That's probably why he didn't get far in politics.

Just like the idiot Rev Wright.

Enough of the dodgeball game.

Where will the money come from to pay for Obama's government?

Still, nobody on Earth has answered that question. If that question isn't answered, the government collapses.

You obviously haven't been paying attention. The President and black leaders have been talking about the problems and doing something about them by lecturing blacks. Problem is, you people (Republicans) have been too busy complaining to listen.
Obama:“We need fathers to realize that responsibility does not end at conception...They have abandoned their responsibilities, acting like boys instead of men. And the foundations of our families are weaker because of it....Don’t get carried away with that eighth grade graduation. You’re supposed to graduate from eighth grade.... there are some things, as black men, we can only do for ourselves.”
Obama:“We’ve got no time for excuses. Not because the bitter legacy of slavery and segregation have vanished entirely; they have not. Not because racism and discrimination no longer exist; we know those are still out there. It’s just that in today’s hyperconnected, hypercompetitive world, with millions of young people from China and India and Brazil — many of whom started with a whole lot less than all of you did — all of them entering the global workforce alongside you, nobody is going to give you anything that you have not earned.”
Obama:“Be a good role model and set a good example for that young brother coming up.”“If you know somebody who’s not on point, go back and bring that brother along — those who’ve been left behind, who haven’t had the same opportunities we have — they need to hear from you. We’ve got to teach them just like what we have to learn, what it is like to be a man."
Until we have a generation of black parents who value an education and embrace the idea that their children can be successful, blacks will continue to be disadvantaged. It takes time. It will not happen overnight. It will not happen in five years or ten but it will happen if black leaders continue to speak out loudly as Obama and so many others are doing. You just need to listen.
And let's take a look at Obama's track record as a role model when he was a "community organizer" (whatever the hell that is) in Chicago.
Damn. Looks like Chicago just got worse and worse while Obama was "community organizing" there.

But he sure sings real good.

Let's not paint with too broad a brush. There's a lot of good beers out there that aren't red neck fare. When we go out to eat in DC my son favors a Belgian style wheat beer with dinner. Sure Glenlivet's good but I'd rather have a cold brew with my bowl of chili. Personally as far as single malts go I favor Cardhu or if I really want to go top drawer I'll get MacCallans 18 year old.

Good morning Yeah. Did you see the post to you from our resident psycho claiming that Obama is the one responsible for Hawaii's practice of shipping their homeless to the mainland? Not only does she believe that Obama is in charge of the legislative branch of the federal government, she also believes he is in charge of state legislatures as well!!! Seems to be no limit to her stupidity.
lol! Gooooood Morning USAsince1680!

Missed that one. But then, I do run past psycho babblers nowadays... at least the crazier ones who keep raising the bar on the ridiculous. I'm too busy laughing at the rest.

Besides, they make Obama the master of everything. Funny how they can't apply the same ground rules to their people like bushie boy!

Well, guess I can type and listen to the news at the same time.

Besides, break time's over.

So, anyway, there have been three plant explosions since the beginning of the year - the latest a propane plant in Orlando.

So if these are the only three explosions for a good long time, I'll believe they were caused by human error or just an accident.

But if there's just one more anytime soon, I'm going to think something more sinister is going on.

lol! Oh heck! I remember the right wing idiot cries of American being a Christian nation and needing a Christian president with Christian values.... and then Romney got nominated.

So then I started asking if mormons were Christians.

The silence was deafening!

And when I pointed out Obama was Christian so they can still have their way, the right wing nuts claimed he was Muslim!!!

Boy, talk about a screwed up bunch of idiots!

It's just my little battle in my little corner of the world but somebody's gotta do it anywhere they can.
Other truth and light bearers on here will attest to this, I'm pretty sure.
Quiz me this flap jaw. Why do you suppose there are fewer and fewer people identifying as Republicans in America? Here's my answer--

Just like with the George W Bush Administration , the Obama Administration budget can only be funded in two ways by either borrowing from foreign countries like Bush did with Communist China or raise the Government revenue stream with taxes and balancing our huge trade imbalances by placing import tariffs and heavy fines and penalties on U S Corporations that off-shore capital and labor. We import more in finished goods ( mostly from China and India thanks to Clinton and George W Bush granting China and India most favored nation status) than we export in raw materials like coal, and oil ).

A new Benghazi hearing is underway behind closed doors by the key commander in Benghazi who has been abroad and unable to testify until now but, hopefully, will sing like a bird.
Also, the promise that the killers of those four Americans would be "hunted down" and warned "if you mess with us, we'll mess with you" - again rings hollow by this administration.
Not one person has been arrested.
Republicans are going to pursue this additional lack of competency.
But liberals don't care if their leaders lie to them or not. As long as they keep believing them.
The key commander in Benghazi? ROFLMMFAO

There was a Benghazi "mission" which was supposedly staffed by state department employees, six or perhaps seven on the evening of the attack. There was also a nearby CIA compound which was said to house +/- two dozen CIA agents-operatives-contractors take your pick.

So you're saying that this mystery commander who's been abroad and could not be reached via cell phone or subpoena has finally decided to drop in on a congressional hearing.

You've lost you mind lady___give it a rest! You've become a bigger embarrassment to this thread than the codpiece from Sring TX.

The last time that happened, the Reichstag burned.
lol! Well gee son! Thanks for admitting cons in America are like the Nazis!

In this case, I think Wiki will suffice!

"The Reichstag fire (German: Der About this sound Reichstagsbrand (help·info)) was an arson attack on the Reichstag building in Berlin on 27 February 1933. The event is seen as pivotal in the establishment of Nazi Germany.

At 21:25 (UTC +1), a Berlin fire station received an alarm call that the Reichstag building, the assembly location of the German Parliament, was ablaze. The fire started in the Session Chamber,[1] and, by the time the police and firemen arrived, the main Chamber of Deputies was engulfed in flames.

The police conducted a thorough search inside the building and found Marinus van der Lubbe, a young, Dutch council communist and unemployed bricklayer who had recently arrived in Germany, ostensibly to carry out political activities. The fire was used as evidence by the Nazis that the Communists were beginning a plot against the German government. Van der Lubbe and four Communist leaders were subsequently arrested. Adolf Hitler, who was sworn in as Chancellor of Germany four weeks before, on 30 January, urged President Paul von Hindenburg to pass an emergency decree to counter the "ruthless confrontation of the Communist Party of Germany".[2] With civil liberties suspended, the government instituted mass arrests of Communists, including all of the Communist parliamentary delegates. With their bitter rival Communists gone and their seats empty, the National Socialist German Workers Party went from being a plurality party to the majority; subsequent elections confirmed this position and thus allowed Hitler to consolidate his power.

Meanwhile, investigation of the Reichstag fire continued, with the Nazis eager to uncover Comintern complicity. In early March 1933, three men were arrested who were to play pivotal roles during the Leipzig Trial, known also as the "Reichstag Fire Trial": Bulgarians Georgi Dimitrov, Vasil Tanev and Blagoi Popov. The Bulgarians were known to the Prussian police as senior Comintern operatives, but the police had no idea how senior they were: Dimitrov was head of all Comintern operations in Western Europe.

Historians disagree as to whether Van der Lubbe acted alone, as he said, to protest the condition of the German working class or whether the arson was planned and ordered by the Nazis, then dominant in the government themselves, as a false flag operation...."
