<quoted text>If you're so concerned, Massey, I suggest you look it up. All presidents listed since 1900? You've got a lot more time to waste than I. I've a long way to go and much to do when I get there, so you and the rest of the bully boys just keep high-fiven' each other for the duration.
I did look up some of them. Most from the presidents are inter government adjusting of rules and regulations already set forth. Obama however is 'breaking the chain' by overstepping the power granted the president. He will go to far and that will be that.

RIP ANOTHER DEMONCRAT Former Sen. Harry F. Byrd Jr., the Democrat-turned-independent who began his career as a staunch segregationist and preached fiscal restraint in Washington long before it became fashionable, has died. He was 98.

Byrd’s son, Tom Byrd, is president and publisher of The Winchester Star, which first reported the death. Tom Byrd’s office confirmed that the former senator died Tuesday.

Something is up with the sun -
It has begun to behave very erratically, and scientists don’t know quite what to make of it. Sunspot activity appears to be slowing down with each new cycle and absolutely gigantic holes have started to appear in the sun. At the moment, the sun is approaching the peak of its 11 year cycle, and an increasing number of scientists are becoming concerned about what the next cycle will bring. If sunspot activity continues to diminish, could the sunspot cycle eventually die altogether? Is it possible that we could be approaching another ice age? Even worse, could the increasingly erratic behavior of the sun be an indication that the sun is dying? Traditionally, scientists have taught that the sun won’t die until billions of years from now, but in recent years astronomers have observed stars similar to our own sun suddenly begin to behave very erratically and then rapidly die. Is it possible that the same thing could happen to our sun?

Reza Aslan, Fox News, and Bulverism
You’ve probably seen a clip of it already: Fox News aired a cringe-worthy interview of the author of the latest Jesus tell-all book on Friday, much to the delight of many on the internet. In the now-viral interview, Fox News anchor and religion correspondent Lauren Green shows zero interest in the arguments or content of scholar Reza Aslan’s new book Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth.
Instead, she leads off the interview with “You’re a Muslim, so why did you write a book about the founder of Christianity?” Aslan’s eyebrows threaten to rise right off of his face, but he comports himself honorably in a painful ten-minute conversation that never moves past this misguided line of questioning:“It still begs the question though, why would you be interested in the founder of Christianity?”
But even if Green’s line of questioning weren’t laced with xenophobia, ignorant about the purpose of scholarship, or breathtakingly incurious, it would still be problematic. There is a deeper philosophical problem behind focusing on the fact that Aslan is a Muslim.
Let’s suppose for the sake of argument the following: Reza Aslan brings personal biases and prejudices from his Muslim faith to his study of the historical Jesus; the liberal media is breathlessly excited by Aslan’s book, even though it merely rehashes debates that have been going on in historical Jesus studies for decades, because that media tends to be hostile to traditional Christian faith.
In fact, there may very well be reason to believe those things. But to think that they have anything to do with the merits of Aslan’s arguments about Jesus is to engage in a logical fallacy that C.S. Lewis called Bulverism. He explains:
You must show that a man is wrong before you start explaining why he is wrong. The modern method is to assume without discussion that he is wrong and then distract his attention from this (the only real issue) by busily explaining how he became so silly… Assume that your opponent is wrong, and explain his error, and the world will be at your feet. Attempt to prove that he is wrong or (worse still) try to find out whether he is wrong or right, and the national dynamism of our age will thrust you to the wall.
Bulverism a great way to score points while getting no closer to the truth, and it comprises perhaps 95% of writing about religion on the internet.
If you’re actually interested in Zealot, you shouldn’t care about Aslan, or Fox, but about the man from Galilee: what was he like? what did he teach? was he the Christ? If you’re looking for answers to that question, Aslan’s Muslim faith, Fox’s hostility, and any number of dreary facts about America’s cultural grievances are strictly irrelevant.
Textual criticism and and historical methodology can be boring and hard. Questioning motives and feigning outrage is always fun and easy, and serves as a particularly shallow way for people to engage in intellectual triage. That’s why interesting subjects only suffer when they get dragged into the culture wars.
http://www.theamericanconservative.com/bulver...
IMO, Lauren Green had some nerve insinuating that "Jesus of Nazareth" is only associated to Christianity. I should hope that Aslan put her in her place by informing her that, unlike Jews, Muslims believe in Jesus and recognize him as the greatest messenger sent by God for All mankind...not just Christians.

Sarah Palin looked like an imbecile with her Big Gulp soda float. Can we agree she is one big reason McCain didn't have a chance? If something happened to him, the country would be run by a soccer mom who didn't know basic geography or even who world leaders were.
Like the country being run by Joe Biden?

McCain was the person who killed the campaign. Constitutionalists didn't like him. Social conservatives didn't like him. That only leaves RINOs who liked him. Palin drew social conservatives out that otherwise wouldn't have even bothered to vote.
The vote wasn't for anything, but rather against the (then thought to be) socialist agenda of the Democrats (that turned out to be communist). There was nothing to vote for.
Given the ability of the media to dupe the country, it was a foregone conclusion.

I judged the debate between Palin and Biden a draw. Take into consideration that the so-called moderator was giving Biden the last word on every question (check the statistics of the debate), if the debate had been moderated by a real moderator, Palin would have thrashed him.
However, to thrash a clown like Joe Biden wouldn't have been a big accomplishment.
No, I disagree. I think Palin actually brought more people to the polls than would otherwise have come.

Get real.
LOL. You really have no idea what an executive order is do you?

That said, Georgie boy issued 291 Executive orders during his administration. Obama has a long way to go to match tht number. And, as far as Executive Privilege is concerned, Bush invoked it six times. Obama has invoked it once. You really should do a little research before you open your mouth.

She wants to go from being governor to senator.

So, why did we offer not to invade if Afghanistan turned over Bin Laden?
My God you are an idiot.
Do you get that dumb by accident or do you need to work at it?
That would have demonstrated that the Taliban was not part of the attack, and they were a legitimate government that were taken advantage of. However, as it turned out, the Taliban were part of Al Qaeda, which they demonstrated when we went in and took the country over.
The Taliban turning over bin Laden to the US would have been a statement to the world that muslim country was opposed to Al Qaeda and all other organizations with that agenda. A big win in the muslim world.
Well, the Taliban ended up being the usual Arab muslim government mentality.

BEER SUMMIT TIME Two Escambia County sheriff deputies have been placed on paid administrative leave after they opened fire early Sunday morning and shot an unarmed black man in his own driveway.

Roy Middleton, 60, had gone to find cigarettes in his mother’s white Lincoln Town Car, which was parked in the driveway of the man’s home in a quiet neighborhood in the town of Warrington.

A neighbor, who apparently didn’t recognize Middleton, called 911 to report a possible robbery, and police arrived at the scene at approximately 2:40 a.m.

Their guns drawn, deputies Jeremiah Meeks and Matthew White told Middleton to put his hands where the officers could see them.

Middleton told the Pensacola News Journal that he initially believed that the voices were from a neighbor who was playing a joke on him. When he got out of the car, however, the deputies began shooting.

“It was like a firing squad,” Middleton told PNJ from his bed at Baptist Hospital.“Bullets were flying everywhere.”

Obama didn't have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. No one was worried about the much younger Obama dying like Grandpa McCain. Also, McCain had the skeletons in his closet about his ex-wife and his trophy wife. Was the trophy wife actually found hanging out with another man? Who could blame her? Why don't you give everyone the back story to McCain? I'm sure you know it all.
