Mayor Rahm Emanuel closed the books on 2012 with $33.4 million in unallocated cash on hand — down from $167 million the year before — while adding to the mountain of debt piled on Chicago taxpayers, year-end audits show.

Last week, Moody’s Investors ordered an unprecedented triple-drop in the city’s bond rating, citing Chicago’s “very large and growing” pension liabilities,“significant” debt service payments,“unrelenting public safety demands” and historic reluctance to raise local taxes that has continued under Emanuel.

One last time....the Supreme Court ruled under Nestor that Social Security Recipients have a non-contractural right to benefits. This does not mean that Congress and the president can't raise or lower benefits if they can prove just cause. It just means that their actions are subject to the Due Process clause. Geez you are stupid.

When was the last time he stayed in Washington and worked? No one else is going anywhere. Most people are working several part-time jobs just to make ends meet because of the crappy economy and all the Obamacare uncertainties.
But he must be plum worn out trying not to think about it.
There was a standing joke in a place I used to work at about how certain employees would work so hard at scheming to get out of doing the work before them that they actually ended up working harder at the avoidance of work than the work itself.

READ THE CASE!!! The Nestor's decision was based solely on the fact that he had been deported.

From the Decision (which you obviously haven't bothered to read):

"THE INTEREST OF A COVERED EMPLOYEE UNDER THE ACT IS OF SUFFICIENT SUBSTANCE TO FALL WITHIN THE PROTECTION FROM ARBITRARY GOVERNMENTAL ACTION AFFORDED BY THE DUE PROCESS CLAUSE."

SUCH IS NOT THE CASE HERE. THE FACT OF A BENEFICIARY'S RESIDENCE
ABROAD - IN THE CASE OF A DEPORTEE, A PRESUMABLY PERMANENT RESIDENCE - CAN BE OF OBVIOUS RELEVANCE TO THE QUESTION OF ELIGIBILITY."

"APPELLEE, AN ALIEN, IMMIGRATED TO THIS COUNTRY FROM BULGARIA IN 1913, AND BECAME ELIGIBLE FOR OLD-AGE BENEFITS IN NOVEMBER 1955. IN JULY 1956 HE WAS DEPORTED PURSUANT TO SEC. 241(A)(6)(C)(I) OF THE
IMMIGRATION AND NATIONALITY ACT FOR HAVING BEEN A MEMBER OF THE
COMMUNIST PARTY FROM 1933 TO 1939. THIS BEING ONE OF THE BENEFIT
TERMINATION DEPORTATION GROUNDS SPECIFIED IN SEC. 202(N)."

<quoted text>Condi Rice claimed bushie boy had them at battle stations in August 2001.
For a person who claims to put the blame where it belongs, you sure try your hardest to put it somewhere else.
And history doesn't lie.
Bush was looking for a fight from the moment he was elected. Remember his inauguration speech? He was a man obsessed to avenge his father:

"We will confront weapons of mass destruction, so that a new century is spared new horrors."

And he continued to lay the groundwork from there....

February 16 2001:

"Saddam Hussein has got to understand that we expect him to conform to the agreement that he signed after Desert Storm. We will enforce the no-fly zone, both south and north. Our intention is to make sure that the world is as peaceful as possible. And we're going to watch very carefully as to whether or not he develops weapons of mass destruction, and if we catch him doing so we'll take the appropriate action."

February 22, 2001:

"...the primary goal is to make it clear to Saddam that we expect him to be a peaceful neighbor in the region and we expect him not to develop weapons of mass destruction. And if we find him doing so, there will be a consequence."

February 27, 2001:

State of the Union "Our nation also needs a clear strategy to confront the threats of the 21st century -- threats that are more widespread and less certain. They range from terrorists who threaten with bombs to tyrants in rogue nations intent upon developing weapons of mass destruction. To protect our own people, our allies and friends, we must develop and we must deploy effective missile defenses. "

June 12, 2001:

Press Conference with Spanish President Aznar "Those new threats are terrorism, based upon the capacity of some countries to develop weapons of mass destruction, and therefore, hold the United States and our friends hostage."

There are new threats, new forms of terror: cyberterrorism, fundamentalist extremists, extremism that certainly threatens us, threatens Israel, who is our strong ally and friend, threatens Russia. We've got to deal with it. The threat in Europe at sometime, perhaps. We must deal with that issue. And one way to do that is coordinate security arrangements, is to talk about how to -- as to how to deal with the new threats, but also is to be able to have the capacity to rid the world of blackmail, terrorist blackmail"

August 7, 2001:

Press Conference
"As I said, Saddam Hussein is a menace, he's still a menace and we need to keep him in check, and will.

Q Are they ratcheting it up, though? We've had a lot of incidents lately.

THE PRESIDENT: No -- are they, the Iraqis? He's been a menace forever, and we will do -- he needs to open his country up for inspection, so we can see whether or not he's developing weapons of mass destruction."

What? Couldn't be...In August, 2001, the president answered "No" to the question pf whether the Iraqis were "ratcheting" up their development of weapons of mass destruction.

Bush didn't care who was behind 9/11....his obsession with Saddam clouded his judgment. He ignored the intelligence reports and made his decision based on emotion rather than common sense.
