Because you are losers and steal from future generations.
You are so pathetic you don't even realize how sick you are.

Carol's a socialist.
Carol is not suggesting anything of the kind. It's all in your head.

Lowering health care costs which is still the pink elephant in the room that everyone is squeezing around and pretending not to see would make insurance much more affordable.

Most Americans don't mind paying a little more for those who are truly needy. Safety nets are always going to be in place.

But a heck of a lot more people could afford health insurance IF it was more affordable.

The murder case against a 23-year-old man accused of stabbing five people to death at a Denver bar "cries for the death penalty," Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey said Thursday.
Prosecutors announced they will seek the death penalty against Dexter Lewis, who faces 16 counts in the Oct. 17 attack at Fero's Bar and Grill. The charges include multiple counts of first-degree murder, felony murder, robbery and arson.
It marks the first time since 2001 that Denver prosecutors have pursued the death penalty. The last time a Denver jury sentenced a defendant to death was in 1986.
In explaining his decision, Morrissey revealed for the first time that Lewis — not his co-defendants — allegedly inflicted the fatal stab wounds on all five victims.

The disasters of BushCo? What about the thousands of children who died in Iraq under Clinton's sanctions. Don't you think he should be held accountable for 9/11 and the ensuing wars if you want to blame someone?
What about the Clinton administration loosening banks' requirements for housing loans? Or primarily the Democrats resisting reining in Fannie and Freddie tooth and nail? Don't you think he and they should be held accountable for the economic crisis if you want to blame someone?
What about the Democrats supporting the Afghanistan War almost unanimously and 111 Democrats supporting the war in Iraq including funding that war? Don't you think they should be held accountable for increasing the deficit if you want to blame someone?
What exactly were the disasters of BushCo?

For a person who claims to put the blame where it belongs, you sure try your hardest to put it somewhere else.

“It’s the Wild, Wild West when it comes to prices of anything in the U.S. health care system, whether for a doctor visit or for hospital charges,” said Jonathan S. Skinner, a health economist at Dartmouth.

The situation is so irrational, said Uwe E. Reinhardt, an economist at Princeton, that it simply cannot go on.

“We will not emerge out of this decade with this lunacy,” Reinhardt said, adding,“You worry about credit card charges, you scream for consumer protection — why not scream for it here?”

It’s no secret that hospital bills in the U.S.—especially ones from the E.R.— can often hit astronomical proportions.

According to a recent cost study conducted by researchers at Stanford University, the University of Minnesota, the University of California, San Francisco and the Ecologic Institute, the median charge for an emergency room trip in the U.S. comes in at $1,233. The researchers found that the treatment price for a headache could be as high as $17,797. As for a sprained ankle, it could set someone back $24,110!

Watch out for that pink elephant. You might get squished.

Which means lowering the costs of health care.

The spotlight should be directly on the health profession itself. They've become bandits getting away with highway robbery.

Unless and until we all confess we see the pink elephant, we're going to keep chasing our tails in trying to fix the health care problem.

And hospitals and clinics are laughing all the way to the bank.

Part of the cost is the processing of penny-ante claims for office visits, costs incurred by clerks in the doctor's office and clerks at the insurance company or government. Carry a larger deductible, eliminate small claims, and costs might be significantly reduced.
