Uncannny. The grandstanding by this Attorney General pitting the federal government against this state or that state.
Seems there's now a war on states.
Don't know about you but I haven't heard one word from this administration about Detroit going belly up. Seems that state would be first and foremost on their minds - not Texas.
This administration's blunders, flexing their muscles, abusing their power, creating anger and rife between the American people - it's like nothing we've ever seen before.
Time for them to go.
Mitt Romney said it well:

Times Topics: Automotive Industry Crisis | Mitt RomneyIF General Motors, Ford and Chrysler get the bailout that their chief executives asked for yesterday, you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye. It won’t go overnight, but its demise will be virtually guaranteed.

Without that bailout, Detroit will need to drastically restructure itself. With it, the automakers will stay the course — the suicidal course of declining market shares, insurmountable labor and retiree burdens, technology atrophy, product inferiority and never-ending job losses. Detroit needs a turnaround, not a check.

Holder is asking San Antonio Judges to help him and obama turn Texas democrat through their voter fraud. Holder says he doesn't agree with the supreme court decision.
Wish it was that easy because I don't agree with obama care either.
Funny how this administration ignores rule of law and won't prosecute the black panthers for voting violations-what, I guess because the black thug with the billy club looks just like he could be obama's son just like trayvon.

Where is Homey and his propaganda on housing:
Nearly one-third of the homeowners who got help through the government's main foreclosure prevention program are defaulting again on their mortgages, according to a government watchdog's report.
The Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) has worked on 1.2 million mortgage modifications since it started four years ago. Of those, more than 306,000 borrowers have defaulted again on their loans, and another 88,000 are at risk as well, reports CNN.
The Special Inspector for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP), which conducted the review, said homeowners are also more likely to default again on the modified loans the longer they stay in the program, with 46 percent of those involved in the program since 2009 defaulting on their loans again.
The re-defaults have cost taxpayers some $815 million, according to SIGTARP. So far, the Treasury Department has allocated $19.1 billion to HAMP, and $4.4 billion has been spent. The program was recently extended for another two years, until the end of 2015.
The Obama administration's Treasury Department created HAMP to help borrowers avoid foreclosure by making their house payments more affordable through a combination of reduced mortgage principals and interest rates and extended loan terms.
But borrowers are dropping out of the program as they default again on their loans, and SIGTARP Director Christy Romero said Treasury needs to research why so many people drop out of a program that kept their homes safe from foreclosure.
People who default are following "clear patterns," the SIGTARP report found. For example, homeowners most likely to default again are the ones who got the smallest reductions in their mortgages, who were still "underwater" on their mortgages, or who had subprime credit scores and high debt when their mortgages were modified.
*See liberals? you can't give the same dead beats, who were never qualified for housing, to qualify again. CRA screwed all taxpayers. Liberalism never works.
Require a 20% cash down payment on houses (and minimum 20% cash equity after refinancing) and the default problem will go away.

Using one's home as a piggy bank to finance one's lifestyle is a huge mistake.

Federal appeals court upholds school ban on Confederate flag and other protest shirts

A U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit (VA, MD, NC, SC, WV) three-judge panel has ruled that a school district did not violate a student’s First Amendment free speech rights by prohibiting her from wearing a T-shirt depicting the Confederate flag, and from wearing other protest shirts. It also rejected the student’s Fourteenth Amendment claims that the school district’s middle school and high school dress codes are overbroad and vague. In addition, the panel held that the dress codes do not violate the student’s Fourteenth Amendment equal protection rights because they are viewpoint neutral.

Eric Holder Puts Texas On Notice: Everyone’s Voting Rights Will Be Respected
Of course, Rick Perry, who has previously announced that democracy will no longer be tolerated in Texas, said in a statement,
Once again, the Obama Administration is demonstrating utter contempt for our country’s system of checks and balances, not to mention the U.S. Constitution. This end-run around the Supreme Court undermines the will of the people of Texas, and casts unfair aspersions on our state’s common-sense efforts to preserve the integrity of our elections process.
The Republican Party will learn that the Obama administration will not surrender meekly to its injustices, or to the theft of our precious democracy.
We, as liberal-minded Americans, are fighting for our collective future, for the promise of the Constitution’s promise of the equality of all before the law.
Republicans are fighting for the continuation and re-implementation of white privilege, an artifact not of a modern liberal democracy, but of racial and religious bigotry and hatred – a byproduct of an era -the old Confederacy – long overdue for the dustbin of history.

THE GOVERNMENT AND OBAMA BAILOUT GM FOR RICH INVESTORS NOT TO CREATE JOBS FU On July 10, 2009, General Motors emerged from government backed Chapter 11 reorganization after an initial filing on June 8, 2009.[10][11] Hummer, Saab, Pontiac and Saturn were closed.[12] Shareholders did not have access to assets from GM in Asia or Europe. In 2010, GM returned to using its traditional ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange, and in 2010 is also traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange.[13] The Company was relisted on the New York Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange again on November 18, 2010, following a US$33-a-share initial public offering of US$23 billion, including preferred shares. The proportion of the Company held by the U.S. Treasury department reduced from 61% to about 26%, including preferred shares and accounting for stock options given to former GM bondholders.[14][15] Initial sale of such shares gave the Treasury department about US$13.6 billion in proceeds. SAIC Motor, partner of GM in China and India, acquired just less than 1 percent of the GM shares for about $500 million.[15][16] Following 2010 IPO, the U.S. government retained a 26% stake in GM. A White House report sent to Congress in August 2012 estimated the sale of the remaining GM stock acquired by the United States Treasury during the company's bankruptcy will result in a loss of $25.1 billion to the American taxpayer.[17] The total cost to the U.S. taxpayer will be determined after the government sells its entire 26% stake in GM and its 74% stake in Ally Financial, formerly known as GMAC, GM's financing arm. In December 2012, the U.S. Government further reduced its holdings to 19%
